My toddler figured out how to open the door with the doorknob cover on. I left the baby gate down for a short time. He was sleeping, I made coffee in the kitchen and took laundry to the basement, when I came up he was not on the couch. I panicked, luckily he only was sitting in his little lawn chair on the porch. Scariest couple minutes ever

You know it’s easy to shit on parents saying “where are they” or “that’s bad parenting” when what you said is all it takes and probably makes up most of these situations. Kids are shifty man

Yes that happens. Kids are smart and mischievous. And they do stuff for the first time when you are out of the room.

That pizza guy one? Yeah he punched out a window on the 2nd floor to rescue the last child, and jumped out, letting his own body take the brunt of the fall so the child would be fine. If I remember he lived, but suffered some pretty bad (though no horrible) burns on his arms and legs, and his one arm was cut up pretty bad from the window, and he had some injuries from the actual jump from the window. If I am not mistaken, the mayor and the police department made public announcements in their town about him.

5:00 wasn’t there a ferry in SK that had sunk with a bunch of high school kids on it before?

Yes there was and the Captain took off his job clothes to escape the sinking boat and didn't tell no one there was people in there still

That definitely looks like the Sewol Ferry tragedy, this narrator made it looks like everything was a okay and everyone was rescued when 300+ died mostly students from almost 500 passengers, that light hearted and playful music isn't helping too. The lengths some creators do just to get money.

Yes, fire makes a mess Daz 😅
The fire does major damage but the water that we use to put it out creates a lot of havoc on a structure as well.
It defo doesn't smell like roses that's for sure.😂

I just watched the Drain the Oceans episode on the Thai Cave Rescue, there was a lot of new info in there I hadn't heard before. It was very well done. I knew the kids had been drugged but I didn't know they were fully unconscious for the whole thing! Truly mindblowing that they all survived. Also the part about the tunnel was heartbreaking.

I know how the birthday one felt man when I was like 6 that happened to me only my new friend showed up and then the next year I invited the entire class & expected no one to show again but I was wrong...they all showed up (Excluding the friend I made cuz he moved away) but it was just because they heard I had a playground in the backyard. They all ignored me even when it was time to cut the cake & open presents. Imagine being ostracized even at your own party...💀 It was then that I really felt so lonely & realized I was being bullied.😩

Saw that video recently about the pizza guy: he punched out a window while carrying a toddler or baby I think, that’s why his arm was messed up. He inhaled a lot of smoke too

Honestly, it’s a good thing people are using your videos and making TikTok or shorts with them. That’s free advertisement for you guys. I know it’s a far comparison, but MrBeast does the same thing he allows it.

The clip about the South Korean ferry is missing a huge detail in it. They rescued the crew but left the 200 students that were on a field trip there to die. The authorities, media and the former president had a hand in trying to cover the incident behind the tragedy. Families of the victims were devastated and tried everything they could to seek justice for the loved ones. The only ones who were trying to help the students were volunteer divers who were willing to dive down into the water a rescue the students that were still waiting for help after the ferry sunk down, even that was sabotaged. When the divers were set to go down and save the students, the oxygen line for the volunteer deep divers was cut and the coast guard were delaying them from going into the water even when the waters were calm. In this tragedy only a few students made it out alive because they didnt listen when the captain of the ferry told them to stay in their seats and not move. The captain and his crew were the only ones they went to rescue, they didnt bother to go in and save the students. They just watched the ferry slowly sink down to the bottom even though they can clearly see that some students were screaming and banging on the windows for help

You talk about all volunteers and obviously people matter most, but here in my town in the US the humane society for pets is 100% volunteer and donation. These people get some of the hardest unpaid labor to train and clean and feed and house animals and often feed out of their own pockets if they have to because it's a shelter that only euthanizes pets who are too unwell to saved or rehabilitated if they can. It's so self-sacrificing to put hours and dollars and effort into keeping abandoned animals alive. They truly are heroes.

...talking about mines and volunteer rescuers....in Australia our rural fire brigade is solely volunteers. And in Cooberpedy, an opal mining town....people live in 'dugouts'....really nice underground homes that when you need another room you and your mates bring their pneumatic drills home from their mines and get stuck in on the weekend, often paid for with the opals found in the process. I would love to visit but it is about 1800 km from where I live so I will be saving and planning for that so I can stay in one of their underground hotels. The thing about it is it's very hot dessert that looks like a moonscape and living underground gives you the same temperature all year round, no air conditioning required. By what I have seen in videos, they are REALLY nice! And that kangaroo didn't need rescuing, they swim quite well and specialize in drowning any opponents!

My daughter managed to unlock my front door after moving a footstool to reach it. I had to tie the legs of my dining chairs together to keep her from the kitchen counters where she mixed flour sugar and tea together. She managed to make a half loaf of bread into toast with a half inch of peanut butter another time. On another occasion she found the dish soap and decided to "wash" my button tufted leather chair and footstool. Excuse me gentlemen, but a child at two can make your life shorter by years with any number of things by awakening before you. My litte girl was a Houdini and got busy at five in the morning.

There's a difference between being nice, kind or generous and being heroic. Heroes put themselves at risk in order to save others. No one is awarded a Medal of Honor for a great battle plan drawn up in safety.

Trampoline girl was in no danger of harm if she was capable of performing those flips in the first place -- any person capable of making that first flip already learned to control your body motion in the air... Only reason I was confident enough to get a Skydiving license -- I knew everything I needed to become 'stable' before deploying the chute.

    • @UpYourArsenal
      @UpYourArsenal 2 місяці тому

To those who want to follow up -- Yes, I'm *beyond* aware the *only* time you are in danger while (solo) skydiving is as you approach the ground. Let's remove the oxygen and temperature factors responsible to accommodate human life, you could theoretically 'fall' forever and never sustain injury. I sprained my ankle on 3rd jump (rained that morning, sank into mud near the swoop pond on an early landing, didn't expect to sink in) - still did 2 more jumps that day. The confidence Olympic style trampolining gave me in terms of my body / motion control in the air is remarkable. Skateboarding, too -- but I to this day hate the fact the 'pros' don't bother wearing helmets or knee pads street skating. Jeremy Wray's water tower gap, Scheckler's Costco gap -- every single skater to ever attempt El Toro [leap of faith if we're stretching]... Not a helmet in sight. Disturbing. I'd sooner jump out of an airplane than fall 10 feet without a helmet on -- Skateboarders learn how to fall to the ground, acrobats learn how to fall in the air. Skydiving is both.

Neighbour had a fire late last year, I ended up being the first responder after he knocked on my door... Knocked it down pretty quick (I'm 'basic trained' from theatre and hospital work), but MAN, yeah, it does a job. Hard to breathe for a week after because, well, I don't have their SCBA gear...and the "in 30, out 15" 'rule' isn't all that effective. Kept it to needing a new couch and paint job...
