    IF you plan to fish 15' or less the 1/4" oz versions will be the way to go. If you'll be fishing 20'+ then the 1/2 oz. blades will work best.

    This is my new favorite fishing show. There's always something to learn, it's entertaining and they fish the waters I fish or with presentations that apply to waters and species I fish.

    One of the best fishing shows around. I've seen every episode to date. The commercials are taking over 28 min show 7 min of fishing.

    Smallies were on Green Bay near Door Co. Walleye were in Little Bay de Noc. Depths were discussed in the show.

    The Reef Runner Cicada is the best of the blade baits (a type of lure I think is SERIOUSLY underrated in general) and it all comes down to the cupped blade. The Cicada's cupped blade gives it so much more action than anything else. You can fish them effectively trolling, casting or jigging.
    Only problem is they can be tough to find, Reef Runner isn't a huge company and the Cicada is one of their lesser known lures.

    10# Sufix 832 with about a 4' flouro leader between the 832 and the lure.

    Yeah, James has caught a lot of muskie even if he's known more as a walleye guy. A muskie episode certainly isn't out of the question for next season.

    I wonder if James has ever caught a muskie, would love to see a muskie episode.

    I am looking at buying one of the B fish N Blade bait kits. Should I go for the 1/4 or 1/2? would the 1/2 be more universal?

    Honest question is it okay to just put your hand up through the gills like that or does that damage the fish for catch and release?

    • @InDepthOutdoorsTV
      @InDepthOutdoorsTV  4 роки тому

      When done correctly the fingers do not touch the gills. The fish is held by the gill cover only and does not cause any damage.

    We don't have any plans to head to the Wolf River for whitebass. We might hit the Mississippi River for whites instead though.

    Yup, same cost as the painted versions. Not that losing lures is ever a good thing.

      Dirty water or very deep water. Lake trout love the chartreuse blades. White blades are useful in low water clarity.

    Real gold? You sure it isn’t brass or something? Seems like a waste of gold plus gold is soft. It dents and scratches easily.

  • @InDepthOutdoorsTV
    @InDepthOutdoorsTV  11 років тому

    The gold-plated blade baits used in this show cost $3.29. Losing one or two to the bottom probably won't break the bank!
