Good list Jules. 👍 Being in zone 5, I run 3 to 4 week ahead of you. Totally agree that fall is perfect for planting grass seed. Oct 15 is my target garlic planting date each year. (adjust based on Temps...if too warm) With your longer season, you probably get a fall harvest of raspberries.
It is always interesting what you guys plant in your Zone 7. I planted some thornless blackberries about four years ago. I planted five varieties, but two of them were tiny seedlings and got mowed by an inattentive yard maintenance person. So only 3 have survived. Two of the varieties that survived are very vigorous and loaded with sour-sour blackberries. The third variety is doing well, but not as rampant. The berries on that one are so much sweeter. When I get around to it, I might tear out the sour bushes and replace with more of the sweeter varieties. Plus… there are those other two varieties that didn’t survive. I’m curious about their potential growth tendency and berry flavor. Always a new project in the wings…lol.

Well nice! We had back to back freezes this week. Did not have a "first frost" we had a first freeze. lol.
yes I think berries and dormant trees is a good time to plant now , we are in zone 8 so we have a little more time
Probably just my bias, but I think Zone 8 is one of the best, if not THE best zone for vegetable and fruit gardening. :)

I’m growing collards, Swiss chard, broccoli, cabbage, sugar snap peas, Choi’s, mustard greens, carrots and turnips.

I plan on getting some pasture mix seed planted so I will have a crop to mow and bale next summer for added income and feed for my horses as well.
