already an empire mod in the ingame mod manager
the team(Stellar Parallax) that did STA 3 has a star trek mod in the works, not in the mod manager yet but they have videos out showcasing assets

This is the first Sins game I am playing and I am having a blast. I love the performance of the game and can't wait for conversion mods.

the game said at 14:26 "upgrade logistics to unlock more civilian slots" yet in the infinite hell that is being tired beyond all hope i heard "upgrade logistics to unlock more civilian sluts" and i then said "what would you do with more unlocked prostitutes" my wife turned her head and yeah tiredness and watching shack videos makes for weird times. i guess if that was even a thing they could be used to undermine the civilian population on enemy worlds seducing and subverting them into flipping to your side. like a weird hutt like culture bomb lol.
Just to let you know I found a Star wars mod for this game. Working blasters, Turrets and good looking ship models.
by the way, in the minor factions tab you can use influence to discover them and any market they hold
So can't wait for Armada 4 to be out in the wild 😊
Shack, it hurt me so much to watch you struggle with fleet management in this video, I must tell you that there is a better way...
In the upper left hand corner of the screen is a black chevron. If you select your ships, then right click on that black chevron, all of the selected ships will be put into the Black Fleet. Left clicking on that black chevron will show you a fleet build menu. It will not only show you how many ships of each type you have, but it will also allow you to build more of them from the closest available shipyard to your fleet. Those ships are automatically assigned to the black fleet, will converge on the fleet's location wherever the ship was built, and inherit any orders that the fleet has, including the movement preferences.
Once you fill the black chevron, another chevron of a different color will appear beneath it, in case you want to build a second fleet. This makes it so much easier to run several fleets simultaneously and equip them appropriately.
Some additional comments:
I am not sure if it is worthwhile to build the capital ship upgrades in the early game. Each upgrade costs an exotic, and I feel like they are better spent on getting more capital ships rather than making the existing ones stronger. Once you hit mid game, where resources are less of an issue and you can have multiple exotics factories going, as well as more ship survivability upgrades unlocked, that is when I think those upgrades can help out a lot more.
When you built your defenses around your homeworld, you built a lot of turrets and the starbase, but you should also include a repair station and hanger bays nearby. I like to build at least two repair stations so that they can repair the other one if they are hurt. The hanger bays not only spawn fighters and bombers, they also can be upgraded with flak cannons and point defenses, which can assist nearby structures in dealing with missiles and fighters. I tend to go more heavily on the hanger bays, because their craft have unlimited range.
While attacking the home systems of the other factions would end the game faster, I suspect that the new content is located in the Black Hole system. I would suggest targeting that after you have taken over the rest of the worlds in Yellow's home system.
Battlestar Galactica, Star Wars and Star Trek mod will be great!
Keep this going, love to see if the Black hole will be a problem for the fleet in the future!
I would like to see 4X and Interggrum mod in, too.
Hell, maybe even a restart of the mod concept _Dawn of Victory_ given that the universe restarted production a while back.

Been playing a little wanted to mention the icon in the top left is for fleet creation and management. Use or don't is fine, just wanted it to be know.

I have to admit, though, that I am REALLY looking forward to the updated Star Trek mod. I hope they make one. That old mod was my fav ever.

PFFFFFTT Hold up, did I read that correctly? Your ships have an upgrade that lets them just DEPLOY a Starbase?! That sounds hilarious and broken in all the right ways.
I might actually go play it again if it was a DLC, I definitely wasn’t going to run out of money keeping up with the game

I refunded Sins 2 after 2 hours, I dunno I just feel like it had really changed enough from the first game for me, it felt more like an expansion or a deep mod rather than a proper sequel, I’ll probably pick it back up when it’s on a good sale

Really not a fan of how sins 2 AI generated a lot of their art, really sucks and I can't buy this game on principle

Also, being against AI is like being an artisan during the 2nd Industrial Revolution. Fruitless and self-defeating.
In a few years you couldn't buy almost anything because of your "No AI allowed!" policy ;-)

Proceeds to do EVERYTHING BUT show the damn wreck.
