This hurts yugioh on all levels. Players don't want to buy 3 sets within a 2 month window, shops can't sell all of the sets because players either don't want them or don't have the money to, its a mess
as a former yugioh player, though I still periodically keep up with the game as it's been a passion since 2003 for me, looking at this just blows my mind. There's so much product, that if I were to ever decide to try and pick the game back up, I feel like I'd have no idea where to start. This is something Magic The Gathering has been dealing with the past few years as well, and as I've switched to playing Magic, I kinda know the feeling of being overwhelmed with product.

Rarity collection is the best set this game has ever had. They need to do more like it to help people jump into the competitive game. You can literally buy all your staples rn for under $30.
The problem with this is Konami's business strategy. As soon as they reprint important cards that were expensive for a time, they would either hit those same cards or design the game to where they become irrelevant or completely useless. That's how it has always been for YuGiOh, & it'll never stop. It's time to stop supporting this & stop buying their products so that maybe TCG Konami will get the idea or at least have the hint that they're losing money!! That also includes draining your bank account on official simulations like Duel Links or Master Duel.

The worst part is now Valiant Smashers is causing AGOV buyouts because Horus/Diabellstar go well with Centur-Ion. Having AGOV, Rarity Collection and Valiant Smashers all release around the same time leaves players unable to save up and buy the cards they need.
I follow Yugioh for the past 20 years. The 10 hour video you made the other day is probably my favourite Yugioh video of all time. They are hurting their product and I hope the realize sooner rather than later.
Hate to bring negativity to your hopes, but YuGiOh is beyond saving. Konami is just too corrupted of a company for this franchise to survive. Did you know what happened to the Silent Hill franchise? YuGiOh will soon follow if this keeps up. Someone rich or a group of wealthy duelists needs to just buy their franchise official simulator IPs. That's the _ONLY_ hope we have for this franchise to be saved.
Absolutely. We need sets to be far more like the Rarity Collection than literally anything else. These releases also really need to slow down, over-saturation is a big problem and printing more cards is not the solution for getting more money in the long run. It’s really more detrimental to keep printing more and more product because they’re making their own products compete with each other.
Maybe Konami knows the sales for Valiant Smasher is going to tank when compare to Rarity Collection, so they just put these products side by side so their sales for Q4 2023 will still looks good. Either way, personally I am still more excited for Rarity Collection. Just wish AccessCode Talker was in the card pool.
It's easy. Stop buying the product you don't like, with enough people doing it, they will stop making it. Stores around here are straight up passing on Valiant Smashers, cause they know it will be a dud. Rarity Collection? It's selling like hot cakes.
Exactly, but people don't know that official simulators can be that drive for the company as well. I know a bunch of people be on Master Duel a lot of time. I've been playing Duel Links though; it's so addicting that I couldn't get off of it. As far as the way this franchise is going, OCG Konami may get involved if/when TCG Konami fails which can make complications. Imo the only way this franchise will get saved is as if someone rich or a group of wealthy duelists buys the franchise and simulator IPs. Konami's too corrupted of a company to be able to turn things around, especially with all of the other franchises they've failed to keep up like Silent Hill.
Maybe they can release another set soon for Black Friday. These releases are getting ridiculous. At some point, no one is going to buy cards and just wait for the price to crash on whatever new set they wanted because it is 2 sets old now.
Don't worry about valiant smasher, don't cut off rarity collection. You are a collector, most of us watching are probably collectors as well, we all share your feelings. If you release a video about Valiant Smasher, I wouldn't be as interested as watching rarity collection content. So feel free to ignore it and carry on with what you like and enjoy. You shouldn't be forced to make content you don't like, do what you like and people will appreciate it!
The solution to this problem is to reduce the number of new archetypes introduced. Every CR set releases 3 new archetypes and we have at least 3 CR sets a year. Plus the archetypes that come in the main sets. All these new archetypes and they'll be forgotten soon. They won't even get any support anytime soon and that means no one will play those decks. Consequently, the set crashes in price. (Casual players might anyway avoid those sets) We need more toon chaos like CR sets.
The solution to this problem is for us to STOP BUYING KONAMI'S PRODUCTS TILL THEY NOTICE WHY THEY ARE NOT GETTING ANY MORE REVENUE!! They are too corrupted of a company for things to turn around for the franchise. Have you've been blind to the way Konami does business?! Have you not paid much attention to their actions throughout the years and determine their intentions by them?!?! Did you know what happened to another franchise they were popular for years ago called Silent Hill? You are defending the company and/or yourself for continuing to buy their card products, therefore supporting them to continue their way of business with the franchises they've tainted & corrupted. Many more people in the comments are saying to just stop buying their card product; like what real benefit do you have in wasting money away to a company that doesn't care what you think, shuts themselves off of the consumer-base, don't provide better tournament qualities and prizing, & does things that nobody wanted or wished to see go away but ends up not happening? Quit giving yourself a reason to buy YuGiOh product and provide proxies for yourself or play in unofficial sims like Duelingbook or YGO Omega. Never to go be in Duel Links or Master Duel cause that's an addiction trap. If you wanna truly save this franchise, you're gonna have to let it go & do something else you like doing unless you are rich and top of the world or have wealthy people in connections that care about this franchise as well that would buy it and the IPs of the simulators. Participating in official sanctioned tourneys are just a waste of time in most cases given all of this information. Those YuGiOh content creators & streamers that joined in them had nothing better to do in their time and had to be on Konami's good side if they want to get any sponsorships from them. It's why I try to avoid the company's plead as long as I did, only I've been addicted to playing Duel Links, so there's that to take care of.
If you aren't ready to move on from rarity collection then don't, you don't need to open this new wet fart of a set. Keep on with the rarity binder, that's been a great watch. Stuff like this just shows Konami in a real bad light. Money grabbing, not thinking about impact to the collectors / community

Agree with you, Yugioh needs more quality not quantity, boring sets are a mess, i hope the day to open a really fun collectionist set, with cards of the anime in rarities that we never see before.
Rarity collection is such a blast, guys at my locals were just having so much fun. It was like Christmas. People trading not caring about cost, and just having fun. Also hoping for another collection in a couple of years and trying to guess what would be in it.
Exactly & that includes being on official simulators too. Someone in the content creator sphere of YuGiOh needs to speak up & be a brave hero calling Konami out. That person will have my upmost respect. dp-YGO acknowledges the intentions of Konami with this franchise but doesn't care for it since he doesn't buy much product from them anymore. There has to be a YuGiOh content creator that wlll pour their heart, soul, and art out from within. That will give us revolt followers some strength.
This is just sad now, I'm from Latin America, sets are kind of expensive here, I have to request them from NA to save some money, at the same time, it take 2-3 weeks to have it at home, I'm just noticing that they are announcing a new set, not even a week after rarity collection came out, is just sad, Konami doesn't care about players at all
If they’re going to continue this trend with sets with a bunch of rares, they should up the ultra rare ratio to at least 4 a box, and give one cr per box. It might lower the value of some of the crs, but at least each box would have more reason to open.
4 Is still horrible considering there are 9 different URs, at least, so pretty much 27URs. Which (currently means) 9 boxes in the Absolute best scenario.
All these changes with Yugioh's card rarities I think they should start putting small symbols to indicate card's rarity such as UR for ultra rare that will make it easier for new collectors . Any thoughts ?
as someone who switched to Magic from Yugioh and has seen the decline of Magic. This exact reason you described is why. It’s a full time job buying new magic cards. Not only is it expensive but the quality in them has dropped and they constantly ship out new alternative arts, secret lairs, commander decks. I play games to relax. I’ll never be competitive. But a lot of people in the market won’t be and they’re limiting access to those players because people can’t afford to keep up because of either money. Or just attention
it's really why you don't play meta modern decks and stuff and stick to jank commander in magic. unfortunately seems like all yugioh formats are expensive as fuck if you dont wanna get dunked in 1 turn lol
Damn, pokémon releases a lot of products but not exactly like a completely new set once a month, like yugioh, keeps difficult to keep following the game.
Exactly, but people don't know that official simulators can be that drive for the company as well. I know a bunch of people be on Master Duel a lot of time. This has been a Konami thing they do since forever. They print cards non-stop and do reprints way too often. I get making some cards not super expensive, but the massive amount of overprinting just ruins any attempt to collect cards.
i played Ygo in the early 2000s and it was fun until i quit year 2008, started again in 2020 and quit in 2021 due to that Konami "price fixing" Sets which are released every year. as a Player u feel scammed due to the fact new Cards are released so frequently that u CANT keep up if u want to play competitive and stay on shape when its about staying competitive.. as a Seller u feel scammed due to the fact u cant keep cards because they release reprints after reprints which kill the Prices of nearly everything. i got a Bunch of old Cards from 2005 and havent sold it because they remember me of the good old days where the Company really cared about their Playerbase. Ruxin keep up your work, i enjoy your openings.
I can see why they didn't really see rarity collection as a proper set release since it's a tiny set technically with all reprints and just different rarities... so this is their proper set release that's sort of going alongside what they consider sort of a collector focused "set". I think they're kinda dumb for doing this since market saturation, wallet fatigue etc is gonna probably be in a pretty terrible place for these products now but hey it is what it is. Honestly the sales or lack of will show them whether or not this was a bad move. We shall see but I'll predict disappointing sales numbers from at least one of these sets just based on history with card games.
They should have swapped Rarity Collection and Valaiant Smashers and released rarity collection 11/11 to let it sell for the holiday season. The Fire King structure is no conflict IMO because that is something that people are buying because they want to play the deck Edit: bring back the old deck build packs with 4 supers and a secret with the same rate for collectors rares as what we have now
Just opened the rarity collection yesterday. Konami better be planning on upping the stakes or prepare to face the wrath of the community Edit: Feels like Konami is trying to maximize off the 25th anniversary hype…. But they need to think about the future as well
Konami don't be thinking like the way you think. They just want money from us. That's all there is. Their whole business model is "Don't care if it hurts the franchise, we need money _FAST_ ". It's exactly why I try to avoid the supporting the company in any way shape or form (but failed to get off of Duel Links; it's so addicting 😩)
Same thing happening to Magic The Gathering. Pumping out sets so fast there is no possibility to keep up with the pace of the releases… I just came back to Yu-Gi-Oh! and now to see this… sheesh….
this hurts, I haven't even opened the rarity collection, I just got back into collecting since 25th anniversary but damn the amount of packs coming out.
I feel like it’s a money grab to pump a ton of stuff out before Christmas. I can’t even keep up with all of it as I still haven’t scooped up any Rarity Collection
I don’t understand how exactly is this cutting off rarity collection it’s not like yugioh has a rotation like Pokémon and other card games i see it as the more cards the merrier rarity collection is not going to die down it’s well known as the best Yu-Gi-Oh! set of all time
Booster packs should come out every three months and provide ONE (1) new archetype or theme, some reprints, and some nostalgic sets. Structure deck once a year, speed duel once or twice a year. TWO Special edition box sets: ONE Meta set, and ONE nostalgia set. Maybe do ONE Super End of Year Box Set. And that's it. Rarity collections should come out like every 4 or 5 years or something. Maybe even longer. 25th anniversary rarity is cool, but there are already A LOT of cards with that stamp. Collector's Rares should be.....rare. Not so rare that nobody can get them (ahem...overpriced Silver Blue Eyes and DM Collector Cards), but not so common that you make TWO NEW Rarities and flood the sets with them. Konami needs to slow it down--make cards rare to search for while giving more time between sets to search for them. That's what makes cards valuable, and that's what makes getting a particular card so rewarding.
With rarity collection being a small set and multiple rarities one box is all you need to get most of the staples, then you can complete playsets with singles. Is a fenomenal set and truly is the best we ever had for staple reprints since Duel devastator. But again one box is enought for most players.
Totally agree with you. I haven't even opened my boxes of Rarity Collection yet because I'm going to buy a couple more and open them all at once. The wallet fatigue is real!
I said this on a Valient Smashers opening! My boxes of 25th Anniversary Collection haven't even arrived yet and they're already releasing commercials for the following set.
They really need to take a new approach to the deck building set ideology; I wanted to build so many decks from those sets but I can't justify most of them for how the 'good' decks become very expensive because of how bad the ratios are.
I almost never buy sealed product.. I opened two boxes of rarity and I still want to keep opening. I’ve had so much fun opening it. Today when I saw the other yugi tubers doing their box openings I was like there’s no way there’s a new set already… it’s just way to much
Here's my take: I don't think there is a problem with the sets. I look back to 2018, a year where there were a ton of set and special edition releases. There were a total of 12 sets, if you count the Star Pack VRAINS and Mega Tins in this, released that year. During this time, I wasn't able to find a single video or article complaining about how many releases there were that year. It was mainly focused on Gumblar, Sky Striker, and Slash Draw FTK. This new set really doesn't have much for me. I'll end up buying a few packs, but I'm still on the Rarity Collection hype. Even looking last year, it was never about the amount of set releases. There were, again counting the tins as a set, 13 sets last year in 2022. On top of structure decks and stuff for Speed Duels. To be honest, I think we are only getting this many releases because of the 25th anniversary. There will probably be less than this year in the next year, comparatively. Given the amount of time and resources used for the 25th anniversary. And I suspect that everyone will then complain that we aren't getting enough new product. Nobody can be pleased.
The quantity of sets is not the overall issue, it's the Quality. Covid onwards has been a nightmare in terms of hiked up rarity imports and questionable at best reprint choices. People now have a taste of what the OCG has been doing in 25th Collection, and now more than ever there is some sort of hope that Konami TCG CAN do OCG printing. They just choose not to, and keep forcing product in a tight window. Takethe window for Albaz Strike > PotE and then DABL > Mavens. Those windows ushered in a top deck then powercrept it to hell, in such a short time, that people could not save up to grab the Despia or the Tearlament stuff before they went to the moon, and stayed there. Hell, even Mavens > Amazing Defenders was shockingly close together, and that set was in the middle of a Tier 0 format where people did not want to buy cardboard that was not exactly Tear. This has been a issue for years now.
Well, the problem is, it almost seems like big cash grabs for them. It's really disappointing. You spend so much money to get cases worth to be able to pull a specific card. Plus, it's nice you can try and make some of your money back, but it's impossible when they reprint and drop values on cards. So you spend so much knowing there isn't going to be any real value to the collective standpoint. 😢
I feel like Konomi has lost their way. Instead of making a quality product, they are worried about quantity. Unfortunately this business model may make you money upfront, the tail end (2nd market) will suffer. Konomi take your time and stop burning the candle at both ends. 🤦🏻♂️
I kind of like having multiple sets close by. I'm going to buy a box each regardless, and I'm lucky enough to be able to afford something like this if it comes up, but I kind of get bored if we have 2 months between sets. I'd like to open something and sometimes I end up digging into old speed duel sets or something in the meantime. I don't see it as a necessity to get them immediately, if I don't like the new set much I may wait a bit before getting it, but at least it's there if I want it. Granted, I don't play at the competitive level where I need to keep up with a full deck of whatever comes out, and I do feel like this kind of takes away from the spotlight when something is really outstanding like the rarity collection
It feels like Konami had very little forethought regarding rarity collection and they just inserted it close to the holiday in their pre-established release schedule. Haven’t even bought a box yet cause I have to save for other more important things but as soon as I can afford a box, it’s gonna be the rarity collection
Wow, Konami going all in for the all the money they can earn more with easy and (almost surely) quite crappy side sets, who would've thought. Why would they learn from the mistakes they're making if it haven't blown in their faces yet? So yeah... I totally agree with you. I won't be paying any attention to this new set, just like I didn't pay any attention to MAZE, nor Amazing Defenders... It'd be good if they noticed this and slowed down before it all blows up for sure.
Konami must think all its players earn over 100k a year or something how can the average player afford to pick up all these sets. They need to leave longers gaps between sets allow us to actually enjoy them.
Are you going to do a Rarity collection followup? Show the full set, explain the hours and packs it took, some statistics? What was hardest and easiest to get, how many copies of each and stuff? Would be interested to watch.
That's why we must spread this to every part of the community. I've been taking up paragraphs in replies to certain comments explaining that Konami is too corrupted of a company for things to change, We must stop buying their products cause obviously nothing will resolve if we keep supporting them to continue treating us & this franchise like shit. Also, we have fanmade sims like Duelingbook or YGO Omega to play YuGiOh with that is in most cases better than the official simulators as you get to play the card pool for free, have unlimited deck slots, game stipulations in setting a very custom format, & have tournament support from parts of the YuGiOh community themselves. We need to think rationally for once in our lives and do what's best for ourselves, the community, and the franchise. 🎶 "Let it go, let it go. Can't hold it back anymore...."🎶 Help me spread this message to many servers and community members as you can!!
I think the structure deck coming after is fine it makes sense to launch a reprint set next to a structure deck cause new players can buy both and instantly upgrade them
I believe if they at least swap release schedule between Valiant Smasher and the structure deck Fire King (which is early December), we would feel more comfortable about it (next new set is mid Jan 2024). It's really frustrating that we have 3 new sets back-to-back, in only 1 month period.
I commented this elsewhere, but I didn't even know a new set was coming out because I was so focused on rarity collections and watching prices for singles. The new set can rot for all I care.
It also doesn't help that they pushed products back and move release date of some of them. I feel like that also pushed this into release after release
The thing is rarity collection while at the high end is for collectors at the low end it's for competitive players. The games whole economy since 5Ds and the advent of mass reprints has always been trying to get comp players more then anything as they've realised collectors don't care for most sets even with collector stuff
Rarity Collection is the first set in a long time where i felt like i'm really getting something for my money, even if the pulls are mid. Can't care less about the new set. Memento-Archetype artworks looking cool, but thats it for me. Maybe i'm going for the singles. Ooooor maybe i'll buy two more boxes of Rarity Collection 😂
watch what happens when you boycott new boxes. the price plummets and just 4 weeks later you can get all the singles inside it for far cheaper. the newest set is always a bad investment. also it's not an investment it's consumption. buy used singles, people
That's nuts. I couldn't believe the early opening videos on my feed already. This is the one that doesn't make the most sense. Konami should have banked on the rarity collection. Shouldn't be no rush to put out more product.
Valiant Smashers was announced tons of weeks ago. I agree that Konami could've pushed it a couple extra weeks before the Fire Kings structure comes out, but I think anyone that wanted to buy Valiant Smashers knew this was coming.
I'm excited only because it's a deck building set where I can possibly build a somewhat viable competitive deck. The only problem is they had to make all of the best archetype cards in only the highest rarities. I do wish they would space it out, though, so I don't have to basically hope that I get good pulls from the previous set to sell in order to buy the next set. It's just such a vicious cycle.
Hey bro. What is the angle of your recording device and lighting to get the perfect reveal of all the rarities like you do? I just wanna take good pics of my cards and yours always show off everything about every rarity.
You are absolutely correct about spacing out sets. It artificially kills the “value” of sets when so many new ones come out. I wont enjoy opening a new set for a very long time after opening rarity collection. I know it’s a one off but it was the single most fun set to crack for me since Darkwing Blast.
I agree with that small skit in the beginning it was so weird seeing that set show up, I thought it was an old set considering how much product Konami makes
its hilarious that I saw the valiant smashers videos come up in which I usually smash those videos ASAP but I still have not watched those videos. Im still catching up on rarity collection
I love the ValSmashers decks but honest to god I can't justify the boxes for just Vaalmonica (the one deck I want to try, or cope on, most). I'd much rather we get DB sets much slower but with 2-3 DB sets all-in-one with more rarity options. It also doesn't help that DB sets are truly useless to the average player with the current pull rates...
As a collector that doesn't exactly have much money to collect sets its pretty annoying sets coming out so close to each other like i want to collect them all but im having to choose what set to go for and ignore other sets. like i was luky enough to buy age of overlord and rarity collection but that was only cos i hard saved for those sets and i want to get more still.
This hurts yugioh on all levels. Players don't want to buy 3 sets within a 2 month window, shops can't sell all of the sets because players either don't want them or don't have the money to, its a mess

All the more reason not to be involved in this mess outside watching the homie Ruxin opening.
Let’s just watch poor Ruxin slowly crawl into depression
Same, yugioh is a mess in my opinion. A lot about this card game needs more attention
Rarity collection is the best set this game has ever had. They need to do more like it to help people jump into the competitive game. You can literally buy all your staples rn for under $30.

That`s simply not true. Talents is at 5$ even in SR, same with PoP. 100$ is way more realistic and still cheap as hell.

That's the _ONLY_ hope we have for this franchise to be saved.
As expected from Komoney, they want you to forget about the best set in years just... to keep printing new cardboard...
Absolutely. We need sets to be far more like the Rarity Collection than literally anything else.
These releases also really need to slow down, over-saturation is a big problem and printing more cards is not the solution for getting more money in the long run. It’s really more detrimental to keep printing more and more product because they’re making their own products compete with each other.
Honestly don’t even worry about valiant smashers keep the rarity collection content coming
(Casual players might anyway avoid those sets)
We need more toon chaos like CR sets.
YuGiOh is beyond saving. Konami is just too corrupted of a company for this franchise to survive. Did you know what happened to the Silent Hill franchise? YuGiOh will soon follow if this keeps up. Someone rich or a group of wealthy duelists needs to just buy their franchise official simulator IPs. That's the ONLY hope we have for this franchise to be saved.
I really feel like the community would be happy if this was the only set we got this month, especially because of holidays coming up.
People need to start talking with our wallets. If everyone just didn't bother with the new set, they might see this behavior needs to stop.
November is just crazy. AGOV and then 25th rarity, and then valiant smashers??
AGOV came out Oct 20th but yeah, 3 booster sets within a month. It’s ridiculous
Konami needs to slow down.
This is just sad now, I'm from Latin America, sets are kind of expensive here, I have to request them from NA to save some money, at the same time, it take 2-3 weeks to have it at home, I'm just noticing that they are announcing a new set, not even a week after rarity collection came out, is just sad, Konami doesn't care about players at all
ruxin i love you as a yugituber because of your honesty. thank you for being always so transparent with your community
I loved opening both AGOV and Rarity Collection. I'm opening more of both in December
Damn, pokémon releases a lot of products but not exactly like a completely new set once a month, like yugioh, keeps difficult to keep following the game.
Just don't buy it. They need your money. If you don't give it to them, they'll listen
Exactly, but people don't know that official simulators can be that drive for the company as well. I know a bunch of people be on Master Duel a lot of time. I've been playing Duel Links though; it's so addicting that I couldn't get off of it.
Some of us buy to complete set collections, not just for shiny foil to resell.
The Fire King structure is no conflict IMO because that is something that people are buying because they want to play the deck
Edit: bring back the old deck build packs with 4 supers and a secret with the same rate for collectors rares as what we have now
I opened my box of rarity collection last night and that was a ton of fun, definitely best set of the year for me
Just opened the rarity collection yesterday. Konami better be planning on upping the stakes or prepare to face the wrath of the community
Edit: Feels like Konami is trying to maximize off the 25th anniversary hype….
TCGplayer hasn't even had the chance to upload the images for the Collector Rare set yet lol! This hobby is actually going to meme itself to death 😂
Agreed! They should slow things down. They could even increase how many cards in a set too.
I just bought some of the rarity collection and yesterday I saw there is a new set coming... just mind-blowing
Exactly 3 minutes 30 seconds into the video and I already had to watch 6 unskippable advertisements
With rarity collection being a small set and multiple rarities one box is all you need to get most of the staples, then you can complete playsets with singles. Is a fenomenal set and truly is the best we ever had for staple reprints since Duel devastator. But again one box is enought for most players.
funny how the its really hard to build a deck from the "deck build pack."
Totally agree with you. I haven't even opened my boxes of Rarity Collection yet because I'm going to buy a couple more and open them all at once. The wallet fatigue is real!
Same thing happened with 151 for Pokemon. The DAY after it came out, people were opening Raging Surf.
I said this on a Valient Smashers opening! My boxes of 25th Anniversary Collection haven't even arrived yet and they're already releasing commercials for the following set.
Yup, my money is already planned for the Rarity Collection.
They really need to take a new approach to the deck building set ideology; I wanted to build so many decks from those sets but I can't justify most of them for how the 'good' decks become very expensive because of how bad the ratios are.
Dear Konami, one set a month is enough, space your products out.
I almost never buy sealed product.. I opened two boxes of rarity and I still want to keep opening. I’ve had so much fun opening it.
Today when I saw the other yugi tubers doing their box openings I was like there’s no way there’s a new set already… it’s just way to much
yep this is the main problem, not everyone has the money to buy several sets every 2 months
Konamis greed knows no bounds.
It's exactly why I try to avoid the supporting the company in any way shape or form (but failed to get off of Duel Links; it's so addicting 😩)
Please do more rarity collection! It’s the first set in a couple years that I’ve been really interested in.
Another video with a great point. I mean it’s the same point but clearly Konami isn’t taking notes
Konami just want to take as much money from yugioh community as they can, they’re like leeches, shame on them.
Can't hold it back anymore...."🎶
Help me spread this message to many servers and community members as you can!!
I think the structure deck coming after is fine it makes sense to launch a reprint set next to a structure deck cause new players can buy both and instantly upgrade them
I hope this over printing doesn't lessen the card quality 😓
I believe if they at least swap release schedule between Valiant Smasher and the structure deck Fire King (which is early December), we would feel more comfortable about it (next new set is mid Jan 2024). It's really frustrating that we have 3 new sets back-to-back, in only 1 month period.
I'd be all for it, but the rarity collection is $300 NZD a box, and the estimated value is so so so low, it isn't worth buying apart from on Day 1.
I commented this elsewhere, but I didn't even know a new set was coming out because I was so focused on rarity collections and watching prices for singles. The new set can rot for all I care.
It also doesn't help that they pushed products back and move release date of some of them. I feel like that also pushed this into release after release
Konami is following the Hasbro blueprint
Honestly, not buying any more cards for the rest of the year, minimum.
Rarity Collection was such a huge W. But now with this… 🙄 JUST LET RARITY COLLECTION BREATH! I agree with you 100%.
Konami, GIVE US SOME SPACE!
The thing is rarity collection while at the high end is for collectors at the low end it's for competitive players. The games whole economy since 5Ds and the advent of mass reprints has always been trying to get comp players more then anything as they've realised collectors don't care for most sets even with collector stuff
Product fatigue is real. After rarity collection I have to take a break for awhile
I agree that Konami could've pushed it a couple extra weeks before the Fire Kings structure comes out, but I think anyone that wanted to buy Valiant Smashers knew this was coming.
its not only abotu customers since konami doesnt want to sell to u fcks directly
I just wanna take good pics of my cards and yours always show off everything about every rarity.
every set without a new rarity of Ulti-Ghost is a crime, a shame, a disappointment, and a travesty
Wizards of the Coast has demolished the prices of Magic cards by over printing. Konami seems to be following in their footsteps...
valiant smashers doesnt seem worth getting..
The reprints in Valiant Smashers also suck and the ultra rates always end up overpriced because of the ratios. It’s a really bad set
And our LGS’s are going to be forced to stock it and then sell it for a loss because people want to buy better products. It sucks
Rarity Collection is one step in the right direction, but at least I won't be opening sets that are not at that level of quality ever again.
You are absolutely correct about spacing out sets. It artificially kills the “value” of sets when so many new ones come out. I wont enjoy opening a new set for a very long time after opening rarity collection. I know it’s a one off but it was the single most fun set to crack for me since Darkwing Blast.
My ots store doesn't even have rarity collection in stock yet
Dang I just realized I had a error box, I pulled 8 collector rares in my box and no ultimate rares.
Over? I still haven't even received all of mine yet since I ordered from a bunch of different places to make sure no one would cancel.
I can’t even find boxes of rarity collection 😢
Komoney has botched release dates the entire year, they could’ve easily adjusted the release dates cause they have before
