Same here. I've had to decide between groceries or insulin and other meds every month but since Biden has passed the new legislation no more decision making. If we can keep Biden in office for another term plus vote in a majority Democrat controlled Congress and Senate not only would Social Security and Medicare remain protected but other drugs will be negotiated to a lower price like other western countries.

Ah that’s so great. This was taken at Zummo’s cafe when he was in his hometown of Scranton the other day. He’s the real deal ! He visited his house in which he lived until he was 10 for over an hour and talked to everyone. There’s a picture of him in front of the house showing him as a kid in his baseball uniform with his bat. His candy/ hoagie store is still down the street. His parochial school is still here as his Catholic Church. His childhood friends still here. Friendly , honest and down to earth. He is from a regular neighborhood of good hard working humble people. How about Rural Kansas (avoid KC at all costs) or Rural Oklahoma. You can buy a whole house (fixer upper) for 65k or a used manufactured home with an acre or two for 65k. He visited his house in which he lived until he was 10 for over an hour and talked to everyone. There’s a picture of him in front of the house showing him as a kid in his baseball uniform with his bat. His candy/ hoagie store is still down the street. His parochial school is still here as his Catholic Church. His childhood friends still here. Friendly , honest and down to earth. He is from a regular neighborhood of good hard working humble people.

Sixty five grand IS a lot of money. It's over 3x what I make on SSDI. Have you considered buying a house in a lower cost of living area? Rural Tennessee, Ohio, rural Kentucky , Rural Arkansas, Rural Alabama? I have a friend that says outside city limits in Branson Mo is pretty decent for retirees though getting crowded.
How about Rural Kansas (avoid KC at all costs) or Rural Oklahoma. You can buy a whole house (fixer upper) for 65k or a used manufactured home with an acre or two for 65k.
