The thing i like about Gaga is she has integrity when it comes to her fashion wether she's performing for the Queen of england, giving a conservative interview for Barbara Walters or performing for the president of the united states, she's always dressed as herself. The commitment and passion she has for her fashion proves how much she loves theatre and fashion. So whenever i see another pop star dressed dramatically as Gaga for an event it just seems pretentious and just for publicity, thus proving who's a trend setter and who's a follower.
Once an aspiring teenage girl lighting hairspray on fire in underground New York clubs just trying to get her music noticed, now a worldwide pop sensation and well-known inspirational character playing alongside her idols Sir Elton John, Sting, Blondie, Springsteen, and other legendary names. (Who's seen her duet with Tony Bennett??) Really proud of her. And, AMAZING COVER OF AN AMAZING SONG.
Probably the biggest compliment you could have in any profession is having other CEO's pay you a tribute to you something you created! Great job by all those great artist!! Steve and Journey were the best!!

There probably is no rehearsals for a charity event like this - just do it. I believe Blondie's voice is not-so-hot and Billy Joel is gone too (he shows up before/after). Shirley did not know the lyrics. That left 3 guys and Gaga to carry on.

Awesome ...thanks for the message...and enjoy the Elton concert...maybe you will be posting a video?? Elton is known for putting on a first rate show...and fairly long...saw in Toronto...several years ago...totally a wonderful experience...he is a consummate showman...and a great entertainer...I just wished he would use his experience to support many new groups and talents to give them a boost...in their career.

Well, I wish this was in higher quality.. I love this song, I love (most of) the singers there... and I'm sure it was an amazing performance. You really are lucky to have been there for this.
Great to see all this talent on one stage but, I definitely could do without the jocks in the swim suits...
part of the reason this sounds bad is because it was recorded with a cell phone. cell phones are never an indication of how well a performer is. plus, the microphone picking up the crowd singing off key doesn't help either.

To be honest, this is a bit embarrassing to watch. All these legends-I don't understand why they are doing a song that only journey can perform truthfully. I'm not taking anything from these guys, but it doesn't work for me.

Oneness100 they BUTCHERED this song into a million pieces. If anyone says this was a beautiful rendition they need to have their ears checked. I imagined that their ears bled and now they can't hear anything.
What the hell was this? A nasty mis-matching of people singing a song that's not suited to any of their voices. No wonder some of them have these lost looks on their faces like "uh I don't think this was a good idea". If this sing a long was in my stomach, I'd puke.

lady gaga stands out because she really is an artist, not just a performer. i dont even really listen to her music, but you have to repspect true talent and she's got it. i listen mostly to metal but i have to respect the genuine love of music you can see in lady gaga.

This has to be the worst Karaoke version of this song I ever heard in my life. They can't even get it right with a teleprompter in front of them. What a fucking mess. Each one is worse than the other. Six "Legends" up there and not one can reach the high notes. Lady Gaga is a legend in her own mind. Where's Steve Perry when you need him?

Steve Perry wouldn't hit the high notes either nowadays, otherwise you 'd see him touring with Journey. How could he, at his age. So it is what it is and I think it's quite enjoyable, especially the Boss sounded great, he obviously liked the song, really knew it by heart and did it justice.

He knows how to hit the proper ones and well...way better than any of these legendary figures. Gawd! AND its absolutely not the reason why he's not with Journey.
