Update: I was wrong for saying theres no difference between them. The genuine on is better quality and has a nicer fit and finish and packaging. I fully encourage supporting the original creators.
@@Countrylifeprojects I guess selling on aliexpress doesnt cost much factory direct, whereas heroclip have a website and store / invantory and warehousing costs to maintain. Also there are small differences between the clips where it matters. For one the heroclip has a slightly rubberised tip for better table grip but the knock off is a hard plastic and doesn't feel as durable. But I do agree the prices are a bit higher than they could be to be more attractive and competitive.
I attached a piece of heat shrink tubing to the tip and now the hook does not slip. I don’t see the point in paying more if I can modify the carbine myself

Another reason to purchase the real version is to support the original designer.
@Develen Tsai The original designer needs recoup his costs in developing the product. One of the reasons costs are highs IS fame rip offs.
@@3204clivesinclairI understand this was 3 yrs ago but while I agree artist should not be ripped off on a cheaper vs. we should also,look at the cost for the original. Is it worth the value they say it is? Or is that profit margin oversized? Take for example popular coach purses in which the name supposedly adds value vs. the actual item itself and people are paying an enormous cost for something that doesn’t have value.
I have been buying less from Amazon considering how many counterfeit products they sell. If it is brand name I go to a trusted seller.

I think the reason to pay more for the real one is that the fake one stole the product from the inventor.

Not really, they're hard and firm rubber/plastic tips that dont seem to add any grip

Sold. When u need to take a shit and don’t want to put ur backpack on the ground.
Had some close call dropping my backpack while maneuvering around. It was like a circus.
It is very useful as a door/stool hanger

The original has a rubber tip and is slightly more grippy, the fake is just solid hard plastic

You can't see why you should by the original and not the knockoff? How about because supporting the counterfeit market is wrong. Basically it's supporting theft. I realize people who sound like you think they know everything but you need to rethink this one.

I heard the mini works with a limited amount of table tops ? what do you think about that ? maybe the small or the medium would be more polyvalent ?
It works on all the tables I tried it on so far. I guess unless the table was super thick

I would say so, because the hook is fairly wide and it can bend and rotate. As long as the centre of balance is on the hook whatever you're hanging with it wont fall off.

@@PackingLessI agree with you. I don't think the thickness of the table even matters as long as the center of gravity is right.
I've just received my replica from Ali, and it's pretty good. Plastic is a bit rough in places, but I used a knife to remove the excess. I don't own a real, but I'd say the swivel is probably tighter than the replica. Will definitely do the job for a fraction of the price. I'm all for supporting the developer, but not at the Heroclip prices.
I actually ordered both with my own money and (at least at the time I ordered) the price wasnt that much different between them. Either way, they are very similar but something about the genuine one is more polished and sturdy. My knockoff one also was a little rough as you mentioned. But yeh still very useful bit of gear
