Wrestling Bios Presents - The WCW Career of Hulk Hogan: 1994 - 1996
Hulk Hogan jumping to WCW was one of the most exciting yet unexpected moves in the history of professional wrestling. Hulk Hogan had become a huge name in the world of sports and entertainment during the 80s and early 90s, when people thought of wrestling, they thought of Hulk Hogan. Eric Bischoff and Ted Turner decided to give Hogan one of the most lucrative contracts in wrestling history to get him on the WCW roster. When Hogan made his WCW debut, the company would never be the same again.
Hulk began feuding straight away with Ric Flair, capturing the WCW World Heavyweight Championship in his very first match in the company. From here, Hogan would continue working with Flair before main eventing Starrcade 1994, having a match series with Big Van Vader, and competing against various members of the "Dungeon of Doom" Stable. This mini documentary from Wrestling Bios looks over this entire time period in Hogan's Career.
Topics covered in this video include:
00:48 - How unexpected Hogan's jump to WCW was
03:25 - Thunder in Paradise and Bischoff's meetings with Hulk
    05:41 - Hulk Hogan's first WCW appearance
10:25 - Hulk Hogan vs Vader in WCW
13:29 - Hulk Hogan vs The Giant at Halloween Havoc 1995
15:33 - The Doomsday Cage match at Uncensored 1996
    - Much More!

I think that was the reason he turned heel. The tash used to whisper positive patriotic things in his ear. Once it was removed, his bald spot(which was evil) had Hogan's undivided attention and whispered evil stuff into his ear.
      True story.

@@Robert.Deeeee LOL. His Bald spot was a combo of Uralian (As hair doesn't grow on a high Uralian forehead) - with Middle Eastern Human Archetype Breed - (which has the balding on the back of the head) - but the removal of his Rus style 'tash combined with the darkening of his sideburns etc was a good premise for him turning heel.....if you know what I mean. The same premise was used for Atilla - as Atilla used the Roman 'Princess' needing rescue for a premise to invade the Western Roman Provinces...and so-on. History repeating itself in a different form Mate.

Several things are left out of this Mini Documentary: A) Most of ppl @ "The Hulk Hogan Parade" were Resort Tours that were paid w/ Money & Meal Vouchers to Pop for Hogan. B) When Hogan debuted in North Carolina several of the Audience Members were paid to pop for Hogan w/ Money & W.C.W. Merch. C.) When Hogan debuted for the second time in Florida once again ppl were paid to Pop for him w/ Money & W.C.W. Merch & were giving Hogan Fans Signs to hold up. B.) Part of Hogan's Signing Deal was to bring in Hacksaw Jim Duggan & Zeus. D.) Hogan had it in his Contract that he only had to Wrestle a certain amount of matches per year

I think it's right to say that WCW tried to do the Hulkamania magic that WWF had before:
    *Hulk's Red/Yellow superhero persona
*Hogan beating every big baddy (much to the pain of WCW)
*Old WWF stars and Hogan buddies coming by (much to the pain of WCW)
*Mr T having a match at STARRCADE
Needless to say, it somewhat worked in the short run, but in the long run... I dunno...
