Having been born with deformed patellas, Danaher was prone to knee injuries throughout his early years. In the 1980s, Danaher suffered a severe knee injury to his left leg while playing rugby, which required surgery.[16] The result of multiple surgeries on his left knee was artificially shortened and deformed ligaments, which drastically inhibited Danaher's ability to properly extend and retract his knee. Over the years, this imbalance proceeded to cause other problems for Danaher. Namely, an unbalanced gait caused Danaher's left hip to be subjected to undue force and strain, leading to severe osteoarthritis. The damaged hip ultimately required a replacement surgery, which Danaher underwent in 2015.

George is the best athlete of his time and most disciplined. Not as great as some of his contemporaries. Anderson Silva or Fedor. Not that he couldn't win, because. It wasn't as spectacular
George is clearly one of the best ever. I just think the fact that he never finished his opponent while defending his belt lowers him slightly. Probably either Demetrious Johnson or Jon Jones then.
Jones is a steroid cheat. Can't be the best. For me, it was between Silva and GSP, with Silva ahead, because he finished his opponents. Then Silva popped for PEDs (even if it was after his reign and there could be an argument that it was just to make his broken leg heal up better), and GSP came back out of retirement and got the belt in a higher weight class. So GSP it is. Inspirational and worthy champ.
nah man, Khabib is a chain wrestler. He starts with a clinch, gets people to the fence, and then progresses to a takedown. GSP's takedowns were much more sudden; one second it's a striking match at kickboxing range, and the next second GSP would have his opponent flat on their back.
The hillarious part is GSP said multiple times that he was interested in coming back to fight Conor after his initial retirement. But Dana said 'never', because Dana hated GSP for making him look bad regarding the lack of testing in the UFC, so when George left he was outspoken about not wanting to fight in the UFC which didn't have testing at the time that would catch fighters who were cheating. GSP was very outspoken about how much fighters were cheating, how every gym knew which fighters were (cough Hendrix, etc) and so there was a big outcry after GSP left because when GSP left he was by far the UFC's biggest draw, and most popular fighter, as Anderson had lost and broken his leg on the rematch so GSP was now the clear GOAT. So that pressure caused the UFC to have to take no USADA right after. And you can check that yourself with the interviews, and media that was happening at the time, and the timing for when USADA came in. Because of this it pissed off Dana who not only lost his biggest meal ticket, but also was forced to clamped down on the ufc meat heads. So when GSP was being talked about with Conor's name at the same time Dana closed down that conversation saying it would never happen. But finally when there was an unpopular middleweight belt holder, Bisping, Dana let GSP come back and GSP tried to gain a bunch of weight for the fight and in doing so caused his lifelong battle with colitis to flare up, causing him to shit pints of blood, GSP had to quite after and so knowing he was not going to be able to defend his belt he returned it the same week that he got it. This also pissed of Dana again, meanwhile GSP did the right thing, free up the belt so that other fighters could have title fights, which brings in the most money for other fighters, and so it is something that other fighters respect a great deal. Meanwhile Dana being the hypocrite he is, had no problem with Conor sitting no two belts for nearly 2 years without defending them once. It was the longest any fighter has had a belt and not defended his title. Blocking the most money fights in those weight classes for 2 years, for many fighters those fights are the fights that set their family up for life, and pay off all the lack of money the sports gives before then. So GSP for doing the right thing pissed off Dana, meanwhile Conor's bottomless ego refused to return the belts. GSP defended the belt 9 times, and Conor 0 times. Who is the greater champion? All the champions say the same thing, winning the belt was easy compared to defending it. Because when you defend it now you have the entire industry gunning for your belt, and breaking down your weaknesses etc. Which is why Conor got his ass kicked after his wins, the wholes in his game were huge, but when he rose to the top, Dana made his rise so quickly, fighting the easiest fo the top 10 guys to get that title fight, and so when he had to defend he couldn't.
