Acoustic panels are quite costy if you buy them from store, but their effectiveness vs these 10cm thick Bauhaus rockwool panels with the DIY wooden frame and speaker fabric wrap per panel is not much different afaik, but maybe one 10th of their price, but ofc these are a bit labour heavy to do - but a really working low budget option. So simply 10cm rockwool for the price and effectiveness, and rest by the looks w/ creativity and practicality. Positioning roughly to the first speaker reflection points on walls, and equally around the room, especially at back of the room, and to ceiling above the mixing / sitting / audio recording position. 10 x 120cm x 60cm panels no matter how you position them in a small room like this will already help, but from store would cost ~ 1 - 2K, now maybe 200e + the work (the painful aspect).
