CinemaSins doesn’t want to understand movies. They only want to mock them, and the only reason they remove sins on occasion is not due to the film’s actual quality but instead how popular a moment in the movie is with the audience. Also, the reason Bing Bong has his name is because Riley was three when she made him. Toddlers don’t exactly have the most complex naming conventions.
So for this part 12:08 I remember that someone made a response to this video way before you did and they brought up a really good point for this part. They said that, even if they won’t kill off joy, her being stuck down there has major consequences that could be potentially life ruining. If Joy isn’t there to make Riley happy that could cause things like depression or maybe even worse. And if sadness isn’t there either, it can make it hard for Riley to feel empathy or cry, and potentially mess her up mentally. Let’s not forget that Riley is literally running away up to this point on a bus when this is all happening, so can you imagine if joy and sadness didn’t get back in time? Like literally when they get back sadness helps Riley realize how much of a big mistake she’s making and goes back to her family, and joy helps her realize how much she loves her family and how much she’s happy to see them. It’s almost like CinemaSins just doesn’t wanna really pay attention, which is all the more funny when he acts like he’s making movies better and calling out Hollywood. And if you’re curious to who said this good point, I think the name of the channel was captain vader.
I saw this video some time ago where a girl said that she partially blames Cinema Sins' impact on the reason why media literacy seems to terrible now...and this video adds fuel to that fire because my goodness...he completely missed the main message of the whole movie when he said Joy was the only good emotion.
I blame him, too. Fifteen years ago, if a movie isn't well loved, it's forgotten very shortly, like Tim Allen's "Zoom". Nowadays, it's needlessly ridiculed and mocked for months on end. What happened during that time that effected multiple people in such a way?
What I love about the emotions as a whole, is that these aren’t the only 5 emotions Riley can feel, they are able to kinda combine in a way to do other emotions (at least, a headcanon) Joy and anger could make competitive for example
Hi, gen Z here, if someone unironically calls a hot dog a "glizzy" in my presence, they will no longer have the ability to call a hot dog anything by the time I've finished with them.

He'd whine about that, too. Let's be honest here. Jeremy's ideal film has no characters, no setting, no dialogue, no conflict, no PLOT, and no resolution. It's just a blank screen.
Your sixth Pixar video in the EWWCS saga, and I can tell you had some fun here and there while making this, especially when you drew a thick line through Riley's dad's mouth at 6:53 😂 I imagined his head flapping when I saw it!
I can kind of agree with the logos sin, since too many logos makes me go “start the movie”. But Disney logos? Those are always a must. It’s not an animated Disney movie without that castle.
I honestly hate how he sins the logos for just existing, like you said if they were overly long logo sequences that stretch out the runtime it makes sense to sin that, but he sins all logos no matter if they are there for 2 seconds or 2 minutes.
@@shinyagumon7015 , I only hate logos if the film or tv series has the logos lasting from 10 to 30 minutes, but since I've never seen any movies or tv series with extremely long logos screen I don't hate logos at all like Jermery does.
The “These are the only emotions” sin pisses me off a lot for some reason. I bet if there had been more emotions he would have complained about not being able to keep track of all characters. Heck, that’s probably gonna be a sin in the Inside Out 2 video.
Jermery also hates flashbacks too, so I don't know really what he wants his games, films, and tv shows to have if people can't chat with each other like superhero films, and there isn't flashbacks to convey the convey the characters motivations.
I know many ppl hate broccoli. I personally have no problem with it, in fact I love it. I think Jeremy fails to take into account that other people have different preferences.
the beginning disclaimer is so funny, each color represents the emotions he actually has on that part of the disclaimer. anger at the disclaimer cuz it’s goofy that he has to make it anxiety from the “I love cinema sins” (he doesn’t he’s lying) happiness for the “I am only” cuz it’s talking about himself disgust at the “poking fun at” cuz it’s how he feels when ‘poking fun’ (he’s not poking fun he’s disgusted) sadness at “some of”, cuz he’s probably gonna be making these for a long ass time and fear at “their mistakes” cuz he’s scared at what future mistakes they will make

Even if you want to argue that CinemaSins is all in good fun, I don't see the fun of sins like the one at 2:35. There's no joke being made, they're just over-analysing a really funny sight gag. They're not adding anything to an existing punchline.
I mean wasn’t Riley like 3 or 4 years old when she had her imaginary friend? That could contribute to the ridiculousness of it. But yep still not as ridiculous as that fake ass laugh.
Whilst I'd use Jon Stewart's joke about "Deep Dish Pizza" being a casserole (Wtf Chicago?) Jeremy's entire ignorance on emotions "One positive, 4 negative" which if you're younger I can understand that logic but ARRGHHHH Cinema Wins' video on Inside Out is fantastic as it explains really well how here we see the film represent depression not as sadness as some erroneously think, but as absence of emotions.
Just wanted to point out that 7:26 Riley is actually Gen Z. The first Gen Z was born in 1997 and I once made a theory that Riley is 11 years old and turns 12. The year is mostly between 2012 to 2014. I also met with a Pixar executive that told me that Riley was born around 2002. So she’s not a millennial she’s too young.
One thing I'd like to point out that I think was a fantastic detail in the movie (and is one I see that people misinterpret entirely too often.) is the emotions that Riley's parents are led by. It's a representation of how our emotion's roles become more complex over time, as we do with age. As a result, Riley's mom isn't led by Sadness, but Empathy, and Riley's father isn't led by Anger, but by Protectiveness. (Or masculinity if you wanna go down that route as I think that Riley's dad is a positive example of such.) I'm tired of people trying to posit that Riley's mom is depressed and Riley's dad is abusive because they clearly aren't. It's even more braindead to see these takes when you see Riley's sadness take on the role of empathy IN THIS MOVIE.
12:21 To me, this reads as Jeremy asking why Riley would have forgotten the memory as if it was sent there like the other faded memories and not because it's a core memory that was in the bag when Joy fell down. It hasn't faded yet, so it isn't officially forgotten. Am I assuming Jeremy was too dumb to remember things that were outright stated and made obvious in the movie? Yes. The alternative is the usual gimmick of him just misrepresenting a scene to pad the run time
Jeremy out here acting like if every single emotion ever doesn’t have a little head critter to go with it, it means the emotion can’t exist. When the whole movie’s about them learning that emotions can work in tandem to create new thoughts and feelings (shown by the multicolored memory balls at the end). Plus him being like “how is she doing anything if your emotions aren’t driving” as if he’s never just felt kinda neutral before
Birdman that Korean pizza comment hurt. As someone who just went there for a month I thought that Korean pizza was garbage. I tried 3 diff places and all were amazing. The craziest flavor I had was bulgolgi, chicken, corn, red and green peppers, honey mustard and bbq. I ate all of that in one sitting. Absolutely amazing and you have to try it when you go
If my ability to recall things serves me correctly, the "triple dent gum" memory is a yellow memory, meaning it is a HAPPY memory. So yes, I do believe while she's humming that tune she is happy, as it would make sense for the happy memories to make you, well.. happy. How does Jeremy not even THINK of that?
Never watched Inside out, never planned to either tbh (was 17 when it dropped) but now I quickly watched it before watching your video and reeeaallly liked it. Gonna watch Inside Out 2 rn
Something you didn't mention is that Riley isn't even a millennial. She'd be gen Z. In other words, she'd find that Skittle on a plate meme absolutely hilarious... if you added motion blur and text (preferably in impact font, but that's not a requirement) reading "plate with a skittle on it" with no capitalisation or puctuation.
3:42 I also think it's a bit reductive to view the film as "One positive emotion and four negative ones". The message of the film is that there is no such thing as a bad emotion they are all good but they can go too far. Joy makes you happy which you need to have a good life but if you focus too much on being happy it can lead to you masking your true feelings which is exactly what happened with Riley in this film. Sadness doesn't feel great but it CAN allow you to express your feelings and feelings are not good when they are bottled up inside and not properly addressed. Fear is well, fear and no one likes to be afraid but it can help to keep you vigilant and help you stay safe. Disgust feels well, disgusting but it can help you to avoid potentially unhealthy things. Anger is destructive but if properly managed it can act as an alarm to when you are being mistreated and it allows you to express your frustration which is not good when it is bottled inside. TLDR: Saying there is one positive emotions and four negative ones is litterally the opposite of what the film is trying to say.
I'm a Canuck, and I'm really glad I watched this video in the privacy of my own home because when you said, "Jeremy sins Canadians" about the hockey thing, I hadn't expected that and I burst out laughing. That was a good one!

@@eileensnow6153 , there's three different types of adrenaline 1. The flight response which the one I have where run immediately away from the large animals like a bear 🐻 🐻 or boar 🐗 🐗. 2. The fight response where most Europeans fight off the wild animals, and 3. Freezing in place like deers, so the fact that Jermery fails to understand that is completely ridiculous on his part.
Exactly, when you have something bearing down on your your fight or flight instinct is stuck in flight to get the heck away from the something.
@@eileensnow6153 That is the exact reason I HATE those "How to defeat/escape (thing) in (movie)" because it's always some complex, detailed plan that you definitely wouldn't be able to do if you were actually in that scenario.
2:16 "No other emotions [...] like logic." Jeremy. Logic isn't an emotion. It's quite the opposite of an emotion.

I'm not surprised Jeremy is unfamiliar with how logic works.
Well how could he possibly know what logic is, he’s never used it in his life

The fact that "Everything Wrong With" shortens to "Eww" is too funny to me XD
Fun fact: The selling of popcorn took off because the original way they made popcorn was able to mask the smell of drugs being sold in the dark theatres.

@@CrackedPropaneYeah like all drugs were made stronger then they were in the past.

I legit named my teddy bear “peek-a-boo” when I was three I think this says something
Channels like his and movie studios basing their whole movie mindsets on their "reviews" have ruined many movies over the past 6 years

9:55 like the creativity of using the coloured letters of ur subtitles to spell out "This is a metaphor." Very subtle
For anyone wondering, the colored lettters in 9:47 spell: 'This is a metaphor'
What I love about the emotions as a whole, is that these aren’t the only 5 emotions Riley can feel, they are able to kinda combine in a way to do other emotions (at least, a headcanon)
Joy and anger could make competitive for example
11:08 "You dream about acquiring intelligence?" Lmaoo 😂 Police, I'd like to report a murder 🤣😭
I love how even the sound effects at the beginning are calm from the gorgeous theme of inside out
God the piano music always makes me tear up everytime i rewatch this movie
The fact that I giggled at the mental image of a Skittle on a plate scares me.
Hi, gen Z here, if someone unironically calls a hot dog a "glizzy" in my presence, they will no longer have the ability to call a hot dog anything by the time I've finished with them.
Thank you! I was trying to find another gen z who had no clue about people saying “glizzy” lol
Ain’t glizzy a slang term for a man‘s meat whip?
10:16 I honestly never got the joy and sadness being in the abstract room thing. I thought it was just a cool way of showing parts of Riley’s mind
9:29. I have seen this film multiple times and I just now realised the colours of the flower on bing bongs jacket are the colours of each emotion, nice detail animators o7
Jeremy is mad that the movie wasn't literal brain cells sending electric signals to each other.

I knew you would get that one, of all people haha
Welcome to another episode of „Oh my god Jeremy it‘s supposed to be a metaphor“!
I can kind of agree with the logos sin, since too many logos makes me go “start the movie”. But Disney logos? Those are always a must. It’s not an animated Disney movie without that castle.
And it's not a Marvel movie without those comics
And it's not a Pixar film without the lamp
I honestly hate how he sins the logos for just existing, like you said if they were overly long logo sequences that stretch out the runtime it makes sense to sin that, but he sins all logos no matter if they are there for 2 seconds or 2 minutes.
@@shinyagumon7015 , I only hate logos if the film or tv series has the logos lasting from 10 to 30 minutes, but since I've never seen any movies or tv series with extremely long logos screen I don't hate logos at all like Jermery does.
Most logos are boring but the Disney castle is the goat
Does Jeremy not know how fast the brain works? Of course Anger's newspaper would have no dessert. It was written by Riley's brain.
Hey. My IQ can't be counted on a Ninja Turtles hand! It can be counted on a cephalopods.
And Jeremy’s can be counted on a centipedes legs! We just might not use _all_ the legs
Then that creates the dilemma of whether you count each individual sucker as a finger
Me: sees the Birdman will sin a CinemaSins video on a movie about EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE
Also me: *gets popcorn ready* This'll be great
The “These are the only emotions” sin pisses me off a lot for some reason.
He sinned the emotions one because he only has one.
I know many ppl hate broccoli. I personally have no problem with it, in fact I love it. I think Jeremy fails to take into account that other people have different preferences.
"1 positive emotion and 4 negative emotions"
Did Jeremy fucking WATCH the movie?
Of course not. He sinned it.
Watched? Yes...okay, well maybe. At the very least he had it on in the background while he played on his phone. Understood? Clearly not.
No
4:44 I actually LIKE broccoli, but I HATE the idea of it on pizza… that’s just one of those mixes that should not exist.
the beginning disclaimer is so funny, each color represents the emotions he actually has on that part of the disclaimer.
anger at the disclaimer cuz it’s goofy that he has to make it
anxiety from the “I love cinema sins” (he doesn’t he’s lying)
happiness for the “I am only” cuz it’s talking about himself
disgust at the “poking fun at” cuz it’s how he feels when ‘poking fun’ (he’s not poking fun he’s disgusted)
sadness at “some of”, cuz he’s probably gonna be making these for a long ass time
and fear at “their mistakes” cuz he’s scared at what future mistakes they will make
Love the energy and thought process put behind this. But the conclusions you came to are unfortunately wrong. Great hypothesis though.

Jeremy's entire ignorance on emotions "One positive, 4 negative" which if you're younger I can understand that logic but ARRGHHHH
Cinema Wins' video on Inside Out is fantastic as it explains really well how here we see the film represent depression not as sadness as some erroneously think, but as absence of emotions.
The shot at critical drinker was so so appreciated. Thank you for the videos
The fact i laughed when he brought up the skittle on the plate. my humor is in shambles
I’m feeling pretty honest, and a lil friendship.

I won't lie. Joy was having a thrill ride with this video! And Disgust was outright READY!
Absolutely amazing and you have to try it when you go
Did they sprinkle sugar on it? I heard they do that to some of their pizzas
From what I know/understand, children go through childhood amnesia, hence why we do not remember anything from our childhood when we were like 5.
That hot dog clip is always funny 😂
8:09
"In the future, entertainment will be randomly generated!"
Ooooh that final statement tho 😂
Very curious if you do plan on making vids regarding their content as well.
4:54 Have you seen BRAZILIAN Pizza? They... put FRIED BANANAS and BUBBLE GUM on that shit.
Wasn't she born in 2005, assuming the events of the movie took place at the time the movie came out?
That's like... not even close to milennial.
Will you give Jeremy a sin off for this being the only video where his laugh is genuine?
As a Chicagoan who loves his deep dish, Jeremy can suck it!
First time I’ve actually been around for a new video!
3:42
I also think it's a bit reductive to view the film as "One positive emotion and four negative ones". The message of the film is that there is no such thing as a bad emotion they are all good but they can go too far.
Joy makes you happy which you need to have a good life but if you focus too much on being happy it can lead to you masking your true feelings which is exactly what happened with Riley in this film.
Sadness doesn't feel great but it CAN allow you to express your feelings and feelings are
not good when they are bottled up inside and not properly addressed.
The fact that I looked up at the street light when you mentioned being back in before street lights come on 😩
I'm a Canuck, and I'm really glad I watched this video in the privacy of my own home because when you said, "Jeremy sins Canadians" about the hockey thing, I hadn't expected that and I burst out laughing. That was a good one!
11:22 cuz Jeremy suppresses his happy thoughts and feelings ever since he started padding the sin count
Wait, people think saying 'hot dog' is gay but 'glizzy' isn't????
I thought glizzy started as slang for a gun??
@@stormwright8300 No, blicky is slang for gun (please let me know if this comes of as rude)
