She frantically tried to renew her insurance then and there, but I knew from watching all of these court cases that that would never work, and it didn't. She was on her first date at one of the other restaurants in the plaza. Her date actually was nice enough to stick around with her even though I think that it was a blind first date. From what I could tell, she got in trouble for the lack of insurance and maybe a lack of registration as well. I actually never bothered to press the issue of the damages with her after her insurance company rejected any liability due to her not being covered at the time. The damages to my car were pretty minor and it just wasn't worth pursuing. She actually damaged her own car a lot more than mine with that impact.

My nephew was going to buy my car so he gave me a down payment and I was going to take payments from him each month until he paid it off and then I would give him the title. So I put him on my insurance as a driver and I had full coverage this was through State Farm (They are the best btw). So My nephew took my car and within a few days he was involved in an accident and totaled my car. Because I had put him on my insurance as a driver and had full coverage I was fully compensated for the value of the car within a couple of weeks. Although it costs a little bit more it is wise to add the person/persons that you allow to drive your car and no one else, and have full coverage.

The defendant clearly didn’t understand the question. He explained what she might have said after the fact. He needed to explain why he was being an inattentive driver. Was she in the car distracting him some way? What was the cause of the accident? She gave him permission to drive, they should both be responsible it seems.
