Sokolov is the best pianist in my opinion . Now everybody wants to play something new and distort the music . Sokolov so much respects the composer and is into his music . And at the same moment he plays in his individual way without changing anything in the style and scores .

Precioso Preludio , Rachmaninof es uno de mis compositores favoritos .El maestro Sokolov lo ejecuta de maravilla .Este Preludio , se parece mucho , en la parte Intermedia a su 2° Concierto para piano y Orquesta , es realmente hermoso .Lo toque hace muchos años en el Conservatorio Nacional de México , me conmueve escucharlo , porque ahora por la Artritis , ya no lo puedo tocar tan bien , como este gran maestro .👏👏👏🎹🎼🎶♥️😳

Grigory sokolov should make records piano concertos like mozart piano concerto 24 the most vital performance.Brahms piano concerto 2 sokolov only man to compare with richter in brahms 2. CHOPIN PIANO CONCERTO 2 is the best concerto performance of all time by sokolov. ALSO SAINT SAENS 2 RECORD BY SOKOLOV
As usual, who can get so much color out of a piano. Nobody! Though the piece is titled alla marcia. I wish he hadn't have broken up the rhythm of the march by speeding up certain sections. Other than that... *tips hat*

Sokolov makes one feel like they are hearing the music for the first time.
Heard many times many pianists but this is perfect for me. Beautiful slow middle section that is so typical of Rachmaninov. Thank you for this.

All pianists on earth play this piece but Sokolov's interpretation is unsurmountable even as compared with Gilels's.
