@@BuckinBillyRaySmith I've been trying to get up with you about an ax handle packaging you did. There were several handles wrapped in bubble wrap and you called one of them a French handle, I think. It had a nice curve to it. I have an ax that belonged to my Grandpa that I'd like to put a new handle on I think that handle would be killer. Can you please tell me where I can get a handle like that? Thanks

Hey Buckin', enjoyed yer road trip to Billy LaCounts. Welcome to all the new people who have come here from somewhere. Introduce yourselves as we'd like to say hi. Be safe and keep moving everyone.
Those are my trees, and I'll tell ya, it's super nice wood. These three were in back, the two out front were a bit rotten in the bottom, but even those are producing some nice lumber for a friend's deck. Not yet sure what we'll do with it. A few slabs for the artsy folks in the area. But it's a lot of wood.

Awesome that you were able to go do this job. Those cedars are beauties, not a spec of heart rot and fast growing. I’d make a small fortune with those logs on my mill cutting furniture wood.
Keep it up my friend! Love you! Thank you for for always being so positive and lifting myself as well as other up on our feet! You work wonders! Keep it up! Stay kind soldiers of kindness! See y’all on the next one

Buckin I love your videos, they remind me to never forget the things you love to do. I love all your videos keep on making them stay in good faith. Can’t wait to see you next video.
I grew up in a family gyppo logging business in Northern Calif and Southern Oregon and spent a lot of time out on logging jobs. I'm 64 now and left the woods a long long time ago but in my early days I bumped a lot of knots, set a lot of chokers and did a fair bit of limbing and bucking behind both my dad, my brother and other fallers dropping timber. During my early years I was around a lot of different fallers and watched a lot of the artistry in play, falling timber. For those who don't know, dropping big trees in tight quarters with precision is an absolute art, knowing how to swing or use a dutchman to pivot big wood as it moves. I've seen my dad make those big punkin trees dance, dropping them to avoid rock piles, power lines or to set up skidding operations to be more productive. At times falling can be hugely dangerous, especially in old growth stands or after big fires - barber chairs and widow makers and other perils are common. Even then though, it's really magic, the things old time fallers can do, and the fellow filming here is certainly a master. You can tell he has dropped a lot of timber and really knows his stuff. This is a pleasure to watch, recalling those days long ago with my father's logging operations. Thanks for taking the time and trouble to provide these videos - this brings back a lot of memories for me :)
So you guys did make it to WesSpur. The beautiful views the boat ride. It all takes me back in time to when I was about 19 years old. The only word I have is Nostalgia. Thank you
