@@darkside2054 My thoughts as well. The animation speed is not defined by the hardware, unless the hardware is lacking. Besides, Harmony like Blackberry OS is a real-time operating system (RTOS) for real-time computing applications that processes data and events that have critically defined time constraints. An RTOS is distinct from a time-sharing operating system, such as Unix. That is why on BB-OS animations and games were always fluid and did not stutter on modest hardware. The response time of animations on high-end phones is a matter of design, not system speed. Even in the old days, it was possible to create instant on screen changes. In fact, I read of a guy who became a millionaire by creating a solution to slow it down, because instant change can confuse people. It can make you uncertain whether you performed an action, and make you click/push a button twice. In real life, things have to overcome resistance or have inertia through mass, so we are used to a delay. In the past, systems often had the possibility to personalize the speed of animations, but nowadays, designers have become pretty dictatorial in controlling a uniform user experience as more users are noobs. So basically this comparison really means nothing at all. Even if the differences were caused by restraints, one might wonder, how important they are to the user experience. For instance, a Rolls-Royce, is not the fastest car, does not have the fastest acceleration, does not have the best driving qualities. When one asked the company about specs, their answer was always the same: Sufficient. China is a big enough market for Harmony to grow, and will spread to Asian and other markets as well. It has the advantage of coming late to the game when the market has more or less matured, It does not carry a lot of legacies, and can incorporate on a deeper level what is loaded later on top of earlier systems. Being the most popular system like Android and Windows is a disadvantage as well. On One UI, I rather noticed that sometimes animations like the ones for that Control/Navigation Panel or whatever you wanna call it, are smoother and better if you rather pull with a certain speed, in a certain way. Tho I can agree, even if you do it like that, One UI 5.1 was smoother than One UI 6.

That's not Samsung fault. The problem is Android OS itself. Android will never as smooth as iOS animation level. If user wants to have so fluid animation on Android OS, Google needs to rebuild from scratch. The app will crash because of different framework. The case is different with Huawei.
Not sure if this is fair, because the One UI is still in beta. A lot things can change after the stable release. Ice Universe toxcitity is spreading like cancer.

@@gockartzz8272 its a beta what do you expect?
Even i, who's a Samsung fan know huawei phone in the test was way better
The animation I want to see is when you open an application for example from notification and you return to home.
I would love to see a comparison between harmony os and the purest android which is from pixel phone.
Nice video. Please use manual focus in future videos, as the focus pumping is very distracting.
Yo which country are you in and how much did you pay for the Huawei nova 11 pro
It works good in China. But It's pity that Google Services are not available on Huawei.Hope more independent app developer can develop more Harmony OS.hap applications.
Can I update nova 5t to harmony os? 2024?
Animation Speeds on One UI : Developer options/ Animation speed 1.5 is great
How have you installed Facebook on harmony os?
Is it easy and normal to use harmonyos outside of China's?

Well, i tried myself to slow the animation speed on my S23U and its very smooth on x10, so much animation...
As soon as i set up my google account, i go the settings, click 7 times, open dev settings and stop all animations whatsoever. I do this with every new phone i get, i dont get why people are "enjoying" this animations or in huawei and ios case, those are transitions. Samsungs work like them if you put animation speed on x2.
I love tech and i try a new phone very few months. I always go back to Samsung. One UI is just overall the best, especially with goodlock apps.
As a former samsung user, I change the phone brand because of one ui which is not my taste
Is possible instal Google play on Harmony os?
Why are you comparing a User interface with a Operating System or did you wanna say One UI vs EMUI?
The harmony os feels better and looks better
On One UI, I rather noticed that sometimes animations like the ones for that Control/Navigation Panel or whatever you wanna call it, are smoother and better if you rather pull with a certain speed, in a certain way. Tho I can agree, even if you do it like that, One UI 5.1 was smoother than One UI 6.
Are you able to install 3rd party launchers on HarmonyOS 4.0
S 23 ultra ❤❤❤🎉
I noticed the Samsung phone had wavy patterns pulsing down the screen and the Huawei was steady better screen .Perhaps the refresh is poorer on the samsung?
I guess that's either PWM or DC dimming or both.
Samsung doesn't do DC dimming
And I think if harmony os continue Huawei would be the best phone ever cause of the smoothness and will inspire other UI,s to be smooth
What I like is your honesty on both phones,
Huawei would have a given a tough competition to apple and could easily surpass samsung. Sadly, this is not possible. The smootheness is on another level
One UI is like a machine, HOS is like a cute pet
why samsung display are flickering
I suspect because they did not implement DC dimming to battle with PWM
the huawei is older....but not only this, also with a rom that might not be optimized good enough. cus i have a redmi note 12 that lags hella when i installed hyper os with india region. huawei is getting to be the new iphone with their own operating system harmony os next and own kirin processor. own browser, app gallery ext
Hopefully Beta users can push for smoothest and beautiful animation 😍
Being waiting for this comparison...no one's done it❤
So what I'm see is you get that aod animation if you choose the stock wallpapers. I want to see the animation when its not the default animations.
If Apple cannot continue to innovate, it is certain that it will be surpassed by Huawei's technology.
Samsung really needs to step up their animations. Im so impressed with the smoothness and responsiveness of the harmony OS
That's not Samsung fault. The problem is Android OS itself. Android will never as smooth as iOS animation level.
If user wants to have so fluid animation on Android OS, Google needs to rebuild from scratch. The app will crash because of different framework.
The case is different with Huawei.
The harmony os feels and look indeed smoother than the one ui
Not sure if this is fair, because the One UI is still in beta. A lot things can change after the stable release. Ice Universe toxcitity is spreading like cancer.
In terms of animation, Samsung is harder and Huawei is softer. Personally, the only difference between them is this. As a Samsung fan, I liked the screen fluidity of Huawei more, but of course, Samsung can do this. I wish there were special animations, everyone could apply the animation style they want.
people need to get their hands on the mate 60. the satellite calling and ui would just make a man bus
One ui 6 is still absolute in progress.. stable is stable.. but it see when it comes
How to even get Harmony OS on P30 Pro ...
Harmony OS has shown how Samsung still lacks in animation.
How is it that Samsung finds it hard to get animations right. 🤦♂️
I may switch to iOS after all
Good OS but sadly no google support. I can't justify buying an expensive phone but to compromise one of the biggest point on a phone, Google, for an android
