George McPhee, the man who drafted these two and most of the important pieces of this Championship roster between 2005-2014, just won GM Of The Year for building the Knights. He couldn't win a Cup in Washington because he SUCKED a trading and luring free agents AND HE STILL COULDN'T EVEN WIN A CUP WITH A TEAM HE BUILT THROUGH A RIGGED EXPANSION DRAFT AND HIS KNIGHTS WERE BEATEN IN 5 BY THE CAPS!!!! IT'S PERFECT.
McPhee losing the Cup with Vegas is karma/payback for the Filip Forsberg trade, the absolute worst trade in NHL history. The Caps would have won the Cup sooner if they kept Forsberg. Just imagine what the Caps would have been like with Forsberg on the same line as Ovechkin & Backstrom OR Oshie and Kuznetsov.
OMG! Die hard Kings fan here. Though being from Bay Area Sharks fan too :) Gotta love Ovi! I think I had more fun watcthing the Capitals win The Stanley Cup than when the Kings won! Ovi for President! Get him on Saturday Night Live. He is a comic genius. So happy for you guys! Well deserved. Go CAPS GO!
He still looks good, after the way everyone outside of his team treated him with the Stanley cup losses it's not surprising all the stress and pressure put on him and the horrible things reporters said about him took it's toll
