Great tips and tricks (especially with the car) man!! These are great tips for anyone watching not just for Gizmo but for any character, especially the second half of this video! 💙
I recognize your nickname. I think we fought together or against this week. Nice tips! Thanks. I came here because your video is on the Multiversus website. Nice job man.
By a large margin the most fun character in the game. Both in the beta, and now. Love our little menace. I'll be posting all kinds of MVS stuff, including guides, news, tourney Replays, and more, don't worry!
I like Snowball Effect, The Speed boost perk, and the melee damage up perk, but in certain matchups you can swap in the projectile shield or armor break perks.
Wow! So I can perform dash-attacks by pressing forward twice and then attacking? I previously thought I could only execute it by pressing forward for a while and then attacking. Thanks!
Mike your too good. You got gizmo gutted 😭😭. But in all honesty I hate that PFG nerfs every character that does well in tournaments. Instead they should buff the weaker characters. Im my opinion when nerfing good characters you should just nerf what that character is bad at already!
Honestly we kinda deserved the nerfs, though I wish they'd chosen something other than the Arrows to nerf. They had such a good "reward for skilled play" mechanic with the reload on hit.
Most of the info is still correct but the car explodes faster, you don't get arrows back on hits, and some of the hitboxes and whifflag are a bit less absurd. Keep that in mind and everything else is still legit. There may be big changes to game overall coming with the mid-season patch next week though based on Twitter hints from the devs, so an updated guide may be needed sooner rather than later. We'll see! 😁
There are SO MANY ways to ladder with Gizmo. I can make a whole video on them. And I just might. For now, go into the Training room and try using arrows, side air, up special, and up air to make your own, it's satisfying and pretty easy to make up as you go once you understand how each move works knockback-wise.
@rasenmaher622 His ladders aren't true in most cases. Unless you're on a particularly large character who got hit at the perfect angle you can usually escape with correct DI as long as the Gizmo doesn't read you right. A lot of them are parryable as well which leads to us Gizmos having to bait a dodge before safely continuing a combo.
I generally use Snowball Fight, Speed Force Assist, and the Melee attack buff one. The running projectile shield is okay against certain matches and "That's Flammable, Doc" is also a decent choice. I'm simply not confident yet these are the "correct" choices so I didn't include them in the guide.
This is actually the best tutorial on a character I have seen so far, very in depth talking about the characters main tools and showing neat tricks

Also what perks are best for gizmo?
I like Snowball Effect, The Speed boost perk, and the melee damage up perk, but in certain matchups you can swap in the projectile shield or armor break perks.
Nice Video 🔥

Honestly it was a full week or two of playing after launch before I learned about this myself, so don't feel too bad!
@@MikeTavish I'm not alone haha. Thanks =)
What is the name of the software that simulates your gamepad?
I use Gamepadviewer. It's a website that you use in coordination alongside streaming software like OBS.
@@MikeTavish wow, nice. Thank you very much.
does gizmo have a unicycle ? i keep seeing it when i play him but dont know what i pressed
N...no unicycle, sorry. 👀

Mike if you had to pick a charecter to main in Smash bros ultimate who would it be
I have mained Ness since Smash 64. 😁
Ness is very solid I’ve been Jigglypuff and olimar since 64 following as well
With the changes to this game would you say the guide still holds up?

Why use the arrow buttons for movement?
I use the D-pad because it's just what I'm personally comfortable with. I suggest you do the same for sure.
How to do the ladders ?

is this a true combo?

just use l1 for ur arrows so u dont have to stop moving
Not sure what you mean here but I generally never stop moving while I'm using arrows. Clarification?
@@MikeTavish i thought u use square because when u use square u gotta stop but when u use r1 u can move and shoot
@tickk. I use square, I don't need to stop moving though.
Theres some stuff that using the neutral attack keybind helps with, like instant turn around arrow. Its like a B reverse in smash
@oklimbo I'll spend some time in the lab testing if I can do anything exciting with neutral attack. Thanks guys.
i dont have gizmo why am i watching this
Stack that Fighter Currency.
