This is actually the first time I've bet a mini-boss on the first try watching one of your guides. Only tried to beat him once before, I feel like I may actually make it to the end of this game :) I think I'm finally understanding this game thanks to you Fuzzy :)
I waited till I had the lilac umbrella to face him, I also had projected force and didn't realise how effective that would be until I used it by accident. Let some floating orbs hit the umbrella till it starts smoking, then release and attack him and it does a fair bit of posture and vitality damage. It can be a little difficult to land occasionally, similar to timing a regular sword attack but I actually didn't use any divine confetti and beat him pretty quickly.
Hello there. Wow!!! This is not a fight. Its exactly what game bosses do to you (to me, being more especific) at the beginning of the game. LoL. Wonderful video. Spectacular work. Tks again, Fuzzy.
I think I'm too early in the game I don't most of the stuff you recommend and the ninjutsu is locked for me, gonna give it a go later, thanks so very much for these guides they really help, I love this game so much as I like to call it Tenchusouls.
Sounds like you found him before going through the castle and defeating Genichiro. You should do that first. The way you're gong now was really designed with the thought that the player would have beaten Genichiro by then. The reason for that is the monks in the castle drop divine confetti (you can't do this fight without it) and also the anti-air deathblow is almost 99% designed for this encounter, which is also obtained while completing the castle. You'll need divine confetti the way you're going later, and you'll end up having to go back to the monks in the castle to get it (it's the best place for it), so yeah, I suggest you turn back and do the castle first. Good luck!
Thanks again for the guide :) Yay, nailed him too and from the second attempt so :) First attempt I was really struggling to get the air takedown as he was always so far away and surrounded by those flying heads, but the second attempt had it done from the start and then just slicing my way through him with floating passage :) I actually find it more useful that double ichi in your video as 1) I don't have ichi yet as I prioritise living force now instead of yet another fighting skill :) 2) it really cuts all the heads around while I'm slicing this fella :) Had to resurrect once though - he caught me once with my pacifying agent and confetti worn out with a beam yikes :)
Nice! They buffed floating passage a little and it's a tad bit better than when I made this video. Not much but it's still a fun combat art in the right situation. Good to hear it cuts through the floating heads!
@@fuzzybearbarian Oh it's interesting, I didn't know they re-balanced anything. Yeah, the floating passage is very potent, I'm not sure about those you obtain even later in the game, but for now it's the best and very versatile: you can suppress your opponent with many hits making them go defensive, but the best part is that whenever you have a window for 1-2 normal slice - you can do 4-5 floating passage hits instead each dealing the same amount, besides you have full control and if you see his movement - the time required to finish the current move and go blocking - is minimal, so you can always stop in the middle of the passage and go blocking\deflecting :) Love it
Some enemies will destroy when you use it though - it's situational. But, not sure if you notices, but it also does chip damage even if the enemy blocks, so when you use it you will always take some health off the enemy, no matter what. But the best combat art bar none is Empowered Mortal Draw. You get that after Mortal Draw, which is second best. Once I had Mortal Draw I never took it off except to make a demo video of something else, and once I got Empowered Mortal Draw it pretty much stayed on permanently.
Perfection!!! I farmed 200 divine confetti because my a## was being handed tome on the regular. One trip down after watching your vid and that bastard was MINE!!! Thank you. Now to subscribe and kill the rest.
this purple kamehameham throwing bastard didnt jumped on his secound face(5 attempts, i had 6 damn divine confetti. now i have to farm confetti with a drop rate of 0,00001/5%...oh boy
Go to the Antechamber at Ashina Castle and farm the first blue monk guy, then rest at the idol and do it over and over. Before you go, head to the Demon Bell and get Sinister Burden on. Then if you can add a mibu possession balloon to the mix you'll get a divine confetti every minute or two. I usually get 10+ every 30 minutes doing that.
@@fuzzybearbarian Thats exactly how I farmed confetti as well. It drops very regularly from that guy. I heard a bunch of people complaining about confetti on reddit and when I saw that blue robed dude at antechamber drop one I spent around 20 minutes farming him non stop knowing i'd need them at some point and got around 30 confetti in no time. Now im here finally gonna fight the warrior and glad I farmed the confetti in case it dont go well. Well here I go, time to fight this very aesthetically appeasing looking fella.
I used another one of Bear's techniques. USB game save :) What I Mean is I give it two tries (I end up using about 6 pacifying agents, and 6 confetties. If I don't get it done, I revert to the usb game save and reload. But I havent' beaten him yet. i'm fighting him now. I'm on try # 8 I think. I need to relax and stay calm.
Man this guy is giving me headache,i managed to beat lady butterfly from the first try, armored warrior and the ashina elite from the first try too thanks to you, but this guy seems to be inpredictable a war of attrition indeed, the time he takes to teleport is so slow which made me run out of confetti plus for random reasons he refuses to jump in the air he's most likely know i've got the air deathblow !!lol
You can come back to him when you get the Lilac Umbrella which makes him a lot easier. Also you can farm confetti off the monks in Ashina Castle too if that helps.
Hey fuzzy do you know of any other way of getting anti air death blow? i accidentally killed the merchant that sold it and the prosthetic and while i was able to get one, i wasnt able to get the anti air death blow.
after 16 tries I have to go do something else. on the 2nd phase, I get his posture level to within a hit or two of being full and he warps, making my confetti/pac agents deplete and me yell out "he focking warped again" LOL. this guy looks so easy to on everyone's tutorial videos. maybe its time I go try genchiro again.
This guy drops the ceremonial tanto which you really want, but definitely take out Genichiro first. Do you have the air deathblow? Killing him in the air at the start makes the second phase much easier. Also, I can't remember if I show it in the video, but you can single swipe all over the place and destroy much of the white things that hassle you, though I always found I was better off running. Definitely don't use combat arts on him though, their too slow. Mid air deathblow is the only thing to use other than standard swipes.
Yes, I have the air deathblow. He hardly jumps for me, and if he does, he flys away when I run to him lol I got him today by builing up his posture. not the way I wanted to do it, but it worked. I rather do it your video way(s)
I accidentally killed the blackhead badger . I got the umbrella from the offering box but can't seem to get the anti air finisher. anyone knows when I can get it ? and also is it possible to beat this guy without ?
Lol if you want the easiest fight with this joker use the purple umbrella and projected force after the top is smoking. This strat literally made this boss about as easy as the mist noble
You are correct, however the first time you encounter him it's impossible to have the umbrella, hence a strat for beating him without it is important since his Ceremonial Tanto will help you greatly from that point forward. But yep, if he's just too hard, wait until you get the umbrella for sure.
Y'all should have just used the sheild that works against these headless and shichmen. Just let it get hit and have the skill that lets you send back damage with the sheild and wack him with jt
Players won't have the shield by the time they encounter the Shichimen Warrior for the first time. But if he proves too hard initially, or if a player runs out of the items they need to keep trying, then yeah, going back with the shield will help a lot. That said, if you intend to go back to beat him later I personally would recommend using the whistle prosthetic rather than the shield since it staggers him and makes him a cinch. You have to be more aggressive with the whistle than with the shield, but it helps make short work of him. You can see me use the whistle on the palace Shichimen Warrior in this video: ua-cam.com/video/om7GJ-un0_M/v-deo.html
I finally beat him on my 3rd try today. What a focking bitch he is that he teleports away when I nearly have his posture level full. I used up 5 Pac agents & 5 divine confettis. let me know if that's acceptable for consumption and I wont worry about reloading my game save. on to Headless.....
Not sure why you can't buy it. But if you killed the merchant, then wait until you progress the story more then go check the box near Hanbei. It will be put in that for you for free.
UPDATE: Tested and it is definitely not patched. Haven't tried since patch 1.03, but I don't see why they'd patch this, it's not a cheese or anything. The game actually prompts you to mid-air deathblow him too, so it's meant to be a part of the fight. Still, if it works on the first one and no others as of today I wouldn't care. I'd much rather beat them with the shield anyway than run around in a circle all day long. You guessed it, I don't really like this mini-boss, I find him tedious.
Hey, what exactly doesn't work? I'll go back and test but I can't be bothered unless I know specifically what isn't working anymore. UPDATE: Tested and it's not patched.
No sense to patch this as it's not a bug, It's competly legit, and guess what, you can totally miss the Antiair blow if the merchand dies after Ashina Castle invasion like in my game... so managed to kill him on the ground :P
He's easy once you get used to what to do, but before that he's hell. I think they intended you to come back to him tbh, after you get the umbrella that deflects all of his attacks.
I had the same feeling beating him and Headless - probably also because of the need for divine confetti. I don't think there should be any enemy that forces you to have to have a ready stock of items to do it.
This is actually the first time I've bet a mini-boss on the first try watching one of your guides. Only tried to beat him once before, I feel like I may actually make it to the end of this game :) I think I'm finally understanding this game thanks to you Fuzzy :)
