Bora Bora was a bucket list item from before I even realized I had a dive bucket list. I loved the drone shots; they give a great perspective on the island and lagoon. We can't wait for the next installment!

Would like to know if you think Bora Bora is better than the Maldives 🇲🇻. BTW it looks amazing 🤩 👌👌

This has been a tricky one. As we experienced both in different ways. We did Maldives from a liveaboard, which allowed you to go to the more remote and extreme drift dives.
For French Polynesia, we did it as an island hopping trip from Tahiti to Bora Bora and then onto Rangiroa and Fakarava islands.
For land based activities, French Polynesia was better. For variety of diving, we would say Maldives on liveaboard.
However, the shark diving in Rangiroa and Fakarava are insane and best in the world.

Awesome video guys! I didn’t have Bora Bora on the dive list… until now! Any chance you could do a video or give us insights on where to stay when traveling there? I hear it can be VERY pricey…. to say the least. It would be good to know the options since paying well over $1000.00 per night is certainly NOT one of them.

Yeah, the prices can be very insane there. We stayed in a small family owned resort called Maitai Polynesia Bora Bora. It was all arranged by Holly's parents through a company called eTahiti Travel. They arranged everything, including the island hopping.
We did see the Four Season and St Regis resorts, which were $18k-$26k a night, which is just insane. But we are the same. We can't afford those crazy prices.

In Bora Bora the dive sites range from 5-25m depending on the site.

Don’t mind the sharks underwater, but on the surface I am a bit like a stranded seal. No way I was hanging around up there with the sharks below me!
