I so loveed the Red Queen, she's basically one of the many manifestations of the Goddess Morrigan (a old celtic/ irish goddess of death and war). She essentially requires a killing spree (war, epidemic, whatever) to be sated, after which she goes back to sleep. Her son's role is essentialy to "manage" her appetite before she destroys everything
I remember doing the dawg guard dlc, I ended up keeping serana instead of returning her and fighting harken in a second playthru. That way I had two companions technically, cicero and serana, since I never gave her back lol
Yes, I'm so glad you made this. I doubt my request in the anime video persuaded you to make this, but I am happy you did. I am also pretty pleased that Kain got the Top Spot. I don't know if he is the strongest game vampire, but he is the strongest from the games I have played. I would love an in depth take on the Vampires from Legacy of Kain series. Especially pre-wraith Raziel.
I remember playing the DLC game Infamous Festival of Blood and I think vampire queen Bloody Mary from this game is very cool and extremely dangerous and I think she's a underrated vampire video game villain 🧛🦇
YESS, I am super happy video game vampires are being talked about, I didn't expect this to actually come to fruition but I am super glad id did. I just hope now for a werewolves in games video. Thanks for this great video.
@@alexanderbruwer9363 definitely, the world of darkness werewolves are probably the strongest werewolves in any game or movie universe, especially if you've played werewolf the apocalypse: earthblood where you get to control the badass beast. I remember absolutely shitting myself in vtmb when the werewolf attacks you and just instantly destroys the main character. Kinda wish they'd make an open world werewolf game with a custom created character and customizable werewolf form.
@@devanpretorius451 I sadly haven't played Werewolf Apocalypse but it sounds epic! And honestly I'd be down to play a badass werewolf in a game, they're sadly under represented in video games. They can even add moon phases to make the game more interesting
@@alexanderbruwer9363 moon phases could work in like the beginning of a game/ the beginning of the lycanthropy style but eventually it would get annoying so having an upgrade or perk that helps you control it would be a good optional choice to relieve the annoyance. I do agree that werewolves are really lacking in terms of playable werewolves. I just want a good game with a good character creation and customization with a good werewolf story that isn't just 2 hours long. Should obviously be really fun to be the werewolf and have the gory violence to go along with it.
I'd also consider Dracula, formerly known as Gabriel Belmont from the Castlevania: Lords of Shadow series as one of the strongest. Lords of Shadow is a reboot of the Castlevania series where they made the main character instead of the main villain. In Lords of Shadow 2, Dracula is in his prime and he has an insane amount of powers. He has hemokinesis where he can manipulate his own blood into weapons such as his signature weapon, the Shadow Whip. Control over over Void and Chaos magic which manifests as the Void Sword and Chaos Claws. Shapeshifting, where he can turn into a red and black mist, a swarm of rats and even a huge dragon. He can also possess other beings but his blood is so powerful and corruptive that it slowly burns away the host Immunity to holy objects, near the end of his battle against the Paladin of God in the second game, the Paladin takes out a crucifix and begins chanting in the hopes the holy power would destroy Dracula. However, this backfires when Dracula grabs the crucifix and begins chanting with the Paladin, just the prove that God's power cannot harm him, the result creates a massive explosion that could be seen from space, everyone was killed but Dracula was completely untouched That and many other abilities like immortality, superhuman strength, speed, agility and reflexes make Gabriel Belmont/Dracula/Dracul/The Dragon one of the most powerful vampires in my opinion.
i agree, i was expecting him to be at the number 1 spot or at least in the top 3. I think he is more powerful than kain, don't come at me it's just a opinion
Cogan, there's one major problem with your channel.... not nearly enough videos xD I've watched all of the videos on your channel and honestly I get excited every time I get a notification about you posting a new video
you should do a video about the Vampire Counts from Warhammer. Neferata, Vlad Von Carstein, Aborash, Red Duke, Ulrika and so on. Very good vampire stories
Good job the only bad video from you I can remember is the anime top 5 strongest vampires it's because you have no experience in finding Feets, vs battles, doing calculations, or power scaleing but other than that your channel is really entertaining keep up the good work maybe you can even get better than this I think it won't be that hard for you but it is easier said than done as most things in life anyway enough rambling from me I appreciate you have a good day.
this was awesome. Please do a video on the Legacy of Kain series its really good. I also saw a vampire movie called day shift and think its pretty good.
I'd have screamed bloody murder if Kain wasn't on the list. Glad to see he's the number one in your eyes. And technically... he's utterly immortal. Removed from the wheel of life and death entirely. Not even the Soulreaver sword could kill him. He has no heart any longer. He lives as he is meant to. That alone would make him badass. Cleansed in spirit and soul by the future wrath-blade form of Raziel, and bearing the Sword-Prison of a purified Raziel... welp... yeah. Any other video game vampire doesn't match up, really.
I got this notification 41 seconds after you posted it. Insta click. Also Legacy of Kain is my favorite Vampire gaming series, so this makes me so happy.
Definitely an awesome video to come across. However, it's a shame Gabriel Belmont from Lords of Shadow 2 wasn't even mentioned. 100% agree on Kain taking the number 1 spot, though. P.S. Dracula from Castlevania is "technically" who I'm referencing with Gabriel Belmont... but you never really get to play as him.
I'd love to see an in depth/timeline video for the Legacy of Kain series. Also, many have mentioned it in the comments, Gabriel Belmont from Castlevania: Lords of Shadow series would be an awesome timeline video. Looking forward to more werewolf stuff, too! 🐺
COGAN! COGAAAAN! Would love to see you cover V Wars, the Netflix show. I thought it was a really interesting take on vampirism that's never been done before (to my knowledge). I recommend giving it a watch to anyone who hasn't.
Any chance we could get a video about different zombie virus strains? There are so many unique ones like the Trixon zombies from Return of the Living Dead and they are all different enough that it could be cool to see you break down the strengths and weaknesses of each strain.
A little late for suggestions perhaps but I’d very much like to see you dive into Nosgoth’s (Legacy of Kain) vampire lineage. The depiction of these unholy creatures in those games are some of the most fascinating in terms of lore and they are extremely powerful beings with various abilities.
Hey Cogan, great video as usual. I'm guessing most people that would be interested in video game vampires are probably younger, but as an Old Head myself (I'm 47 lol) I appreciate you at least giving an honorable mention to the vampires of the Castlevania series. Castlevania is the OG vampire game so I think they deserve it. Yes, there have been Atari games with monsters that MIGHT be considered vampires, but they're not even worth mentioning. Anyway, I have played a lot of Castlevania games, but I haven't completely played through any since the days of the N64. That being said, I don't know how powerful they made the vampires in the games past the N64 days, therefore I can't comment if I think they're powerful enough to make your list. I trust you're right though since you have nailed your videos so far. I just appreciate you mentioned them and thought I'd let you know. Keep up the great work!

I'm just so happy that a lot of people in the comments are giving some love to my boi Gabriel Belmont aka Dracula, the character deserves his own video imo, not only he's so op, he has one of the most tragic origin stories I've seen.
Finaly a normal YT video. i went thru "content creator" who said he is scared of homelander and is having nighmares, tiktok "funny memes" which were just a bunch on nonsense. i feel great watching a simple video that just rank vampires in games.
A thing about the Blood Queen. I've heard that she gets stronger or weaker depending on how you play. If you always kill your victims to get stronger throughout the game, she will also be more powerful. But you can also go a non-lethal route through the game and that way she will be much less powerful. I've heard this from reviews since I have not played the game yet.
Yes the queen here had 39 lvl but if you kill everyone and have max 50 lvl she will also have lvl 50 (in this game only lvls matter as you can use powers that your opponent is highly resistant in but if you have 20 lvl above them you still kill them in one hit. Enemies in this game are max 40 probably less so she is as strong as the game lets you become [you would be 80+ if your lvl would advance beyond 50. If you eat everyone that is.]). So it is most certain that she could be far stronger than you and it all depends on how much you wake her up as blood stirs her from her sleep more and more of her power gets into her avatar. Pity there is no lvls beyond 50 as max vs max is kinda easy. Lets say that you can go to lvl 100 (they could adjust souls so it would be possible eating everyone) but she can go to 150lvl so she would still be far stronger than you. As is the fight is kinda underwhelming. Also fallen districts could be harder (well more enemies as on lvl 50 nothing is hard. But being a blood god and killing whole groups with few hits was fun, pity you cannot do a proper bloodbath.). Also btw i hate that there is only the romance with that vampire vegan girl. Like common i always feed properly so a girl like that would not be on my radar thats for sure (sadly the other hot vampire lady is your sis so......).
In my opinion, Kain, from Legacy of Kain, not only beats but humiliates most if not all Vampires from games, TV, and movies. By the end of Legacy of Kain: Defiance, he can even wound the Elder God, possible even kill it.
I love the moderation style! 🤩 ``Oh, and scientific trivia: Vampires would weigh less than humans, as they have much less water left in their undead bodies, even, when filled with sucked blood!´´
Heres one i bet most people wont know. Lazarus from Darkwatch. The guy raised all the dead from their graves in the mid west in less then one minute, and started the end of the world in just a few nights right after being broken out of a vault. All because some outlaw thought it would be a good idea to blow open a vault with a skull on front of it. Good job Jericho
especially considering Kain couldn't defeat malek, and called Vorador to do the Job. And vorador basically soloing the most powerful Magicians without difficulty.
Kain also has unlimited access to the Chronoplast, a time streaming device. This allows him to always know the outcome of every situation allowing him to manipulate the fate of everything around him until it plays out in his favour. This makes him basically a God.
I lost it when I saw the full moonat 16:50, cause i knew exactly wich game it is. I remember that scene so vividly, siting there with my broken ankle and starting the game....Best times of my life
bro, how can you not put Raziel on this list ? He is as strong as Kain, eats souls, has the spirit form of the Soul River and can travel between the two worlds. He is like a anomaly between the two worlds in the games.
Should check out nations of darkness is a new enough game. The vampires in the games are always way stronger and crazy powerful. Really good to see the differences between the games, films and TV shows
Be it the Gabriel Belmont version or OG, I think the Dracula from Castlevania should be on this list. Even as an honorable mention, but he is way stronger than most of these
There were a ton of absolutely amazing IPs that got left behind with the evolution of the Playstation. But I will always be baffled by how little was done with the Legacy of Kain IP. It was one of the first Playstation games I've ever seen that had straight up Shakespearean level storytelling. And at the heart of it, one of the most complicated yet fascinating vampires. Very few games make you feel like a character has truly arisen to the call to defy God, fate, and time. But Kain was a character that made you feel like he could one day defy the laws of the universe. And even better, you got to see that rise from a fledgling all the way up to his post-Soul Reaver state. Still such a shame that this IP was never developed further.
The LoK IP has been bought by Embracer last year, and they even released a survey asking people what type of game they'd further like to see from Legacy of Kain. So I think (and hope) there is something for it in the future
I'm confused... You know about D but he wasn't number one? I feel like he's definitely the most powerful of them all but only got a passing mention during Blood Raynes description. He does have a video game also (albeit not a good one lol). Great video nonetheless. Thank you.

Ahhhh, you finally spoke of Kain from LoK, thanks mate.
Nice video.
YESS, I am super happy video game vampires are being talked about, I didn't expect this to actually come to fruition but I am super glad id did. I just hope now for a werewolves in games video. Thanks for this great video.
The werewolves from VTM Bloodlines are deserving of a mention there as even most vampires fear them
@@alexanderbruwer9363 definitely, the world of darkness werewolves are probably the strongest werewolves in any game or movie universe, especially if you've played werewolf the apocalypse: earthblood where you get to control the badass beast.
Please make Legacy Of Kain Lore videos you deserve it after this video!
I freaked out when I saw kain such a crazy story yet so amazing needs to be remastered
Just want to let you know that your channel is my absolute favorite on UA-cam. You're really great at this and I immediately watch when you show up.
He can also possess other beings but his blood is so powerful and corruptive that it slowly burns away the host
Immunity to holy objects, near the end of his battle against the Paladin of God in the second game, the Paladin takes out a crucifix and begins chanting in the hopes the holy power would destroy Dracula. However, this backfires when Dracula grabs the crucifix and begins chanting with the Paladin, just the prove that God's power cannot harm him, the result creates a massive explosion that could be seen from space, everyone was killed but Dracula was completely untouched
That and many other abilities like immortality, superhuman strength, speed, agility and reflexes make Gabriel Belmont/Dracula/Dracul/The Dragon one of the most powerful vampires in my opinion.
I would of loved to have him, but yeah too many variations and he's more rooted in other media to be a good comparison or at least equal.
i agree, i was expecting him to be at the number 1 spot or at least in the top 3. I think he is more powerful than kain, don't come at me it's just a opinion
Cogan, there's one major problem with your channel.... not nearly enough videos xD I've watched all of the videos on your channel and honestly I get excited every time I get a notification about you posting a new video
You should do a Vampire Slayers list from movie/tv/games. Would Raziel be the strongest slayer?
you should do a video about the Vampire Counts from Warhammer.
Neferata, Vlad Von Carstein, Aborash, Red Duke, Ulrika and so on. Very good vampire stories
I’m so happy you put Kain on the list he gets forgotten i hope they get a HD remake
I would love to see a whole Video on The Unseen Elder.
This video is epic i love it one of my favourites now.
Respect and keep up the epic work.
Playboy! Lol another great video thanks Cogan! The audiobooks are great!
I'd love to see an in depth/timeline video for the Legacy of Kain series. Also, many have mentioned it in the comments, Gabriel Belmont from Castlevania: Lords of Shadow series would be an awesome timeline video. Looking forward to more werewolf stuff, too! 🐺
Undoubtedly, Kain is indeed the most powerful video game vampire. He was always considered heartless.
COGAN!
One of the few games I had for my NES in the late 80s was Castlevania. Really enjoyed the Netflix series. Hoping they do more with it.
@@ZathrasParadox My family didn't have a lot growing up so we didn't have many NES games either. Now that I think of it, my brother (God rest his soul) saved his grass cutting money for a long time because my parents couldn't afford to buy an NES system. He cut my grandparent's lawn for $5 and anyone else he could find. You don't see many 13 year olds doing that these days, and even if they did, they would probably want a crazy amount of money to do it. I loved the first 3 Castlevania games (well, "love" might be a stretch for Castlevania 2 lol) and I actually have the classic Castlevania games remade for Nintendo Switch. Good times. Thanks for replying.
Thought for sure that the Unseen Elder would be in first place.
glad you included vampyr lore, i adored that game, the narrative and character interactions were beautifully done. Burying your sister a 2nd time, my heart felt that.
My heart felt that you had to kill the hottest vampire in the game (and that she was your sis too).
It could be just because i'm a fan boy for LoK, but agree with his spot at number 1. I would like to see your insight on the Legacy of Kain series more in depth.
I see that you talk about supernatural beings from movies, tv shows, werewolves sometimes, and vampires a lot.
Thanks.
6:16 lol I don’t remember fighting a daedric prince in Skyrim
I’m glad you put blood ominous number one I played that game so much even though I’m visually impaired I could probably still play it to this day and remember everything about it I even have the walk-through book with the map in the back so thank you for putting Kain as number one it also had a very creepy music soundtrack as well which if you look UA-cam still has that 17:28
Loved the video and looking forward to your version of video game werewolves as well! Also I think you should look at the vampires and undead from the game 'DARK' would be cool to see what you can find out about the games lore :)
Love that you made Kain number one. I was upset he wouldn't make the list, as I see the legacy of kain games as a you either know it or you don't series. It's one of my favourite game series of all time.
So glad you put vampyr in this cat such a great dark and gloomy game
Came here hoping to see Kain on the list and you didn't disappoint giving him the top spot that he disserves.
I'm just so happy that a lot of people in the comments are giving some love to my boi Gabriel Belmont aka Dracula, the character deserves his own video imo, not only he's so op, he has one of the most tragic origin stories I've seen.
Woot you know about Kain. Awesome series of games.
Terrific! Now do a review on Pelevin's "Empire V". Or "Карамора", "Вампиры Средней Полосы".
Always brings a smile to my face when I see you post a new video!
5:18 This is true for all vampires in The Elder Scrolls series
Very good video, my man! That's a true diamond!
The starting music for kain gave me such a nostalgia rush I miss those games.
Finaly a normal YT video. i went thru "content creator" who said he is scared of homelander and is having nighmares, tiktok "funny memes" which were just a bunch on nonsense. i feel great watching a simple video that just rank vampires in games.
Next, the strongest vampires in comics. I am really enjoying this series. Can't wait to see more on Werewolf.
Hey! Great video, could you do one like this for werewolves? They are my personal favourite cryptids and I never fail to enjoy your videos on them. :)
Pretty sure Serana and her mother were actually sexually assaulted by Molag, that's why they are called daughters of coldharbour.
Unfortunately that seems to be the case, Serana clearly gets uncomfortable whenever she explains how things went down
A thing about the Blood Queen.
I am pleased to see that this channel has grown that much.
your videos are always entertaining, thank you for making them
Happy for kain the vampyr to be here but F for Gabriel Belmont, guy literally destroyed a army and a paladin alongside Satan
Sweet. Now we just need 5 strong TTRPG vampires
I was hoping Kain would at least get an honorable mention. Happy to see him claim his rightful place
Most people would’ve went Valvatorez or Dracula from castlevania but OG Kain. Excellent choice!
Nice👍🏽👍🏽 how about the top five werewolves from video games
Heres one i bet most people wont know. Lazarus from Darkwatch. The guy raised all the dead from their graves in the mid west in less then one minute, and started the end of the world in just a few nights right after being broken out of a vault. All because some outlaw thought it would be a good idea to blow open a vault with a skull on front of it. Good job Jericho
Im here only to see Kain, for me him and Alucard are the vampires' chads🗿🗿
Edit: please do a video about lok 🙏🙏
Big respect for mentioning Kain from LOK/Blood Omen! I believe that Vorador was powerful as well although less explored. Cheers.
especially considering Kain couldn't defeat malek, and called Vorador to do the Job. And vorador basically soloing the most powerful Magicians without difficulty.
Wow! About halfway through, I wondered if Kain would be on this list. He's here in the number-one spot😅
I just recommended Vampyr on another video and now I'm laughing hysterically as this came out before that video🤣🤣🤣🤣
The unseen elder is terrifyingly dangerous they way he tosses Geralt a extremely powerful Witcher like he is nothing and stops Regis with a word.
Really good to see the differences between the games, films and TV shows
Came here looking for Kain.. wasn't disappointed.
Hey I know you did strongest vampire and werwolf in movies but can you do powerful witches in movies plz
Be it the Gabriel Belmont version or OG, I think the Dracula from Castlevania should be on this list. Even as an honorable mention, but he is way stronger than most of these
Please cover Vampyre, I'd love to hear someone cover it
Love your stuff!
So I think (and hope) there is something for it in the future
i think that dracula from lords of shadows 2 should have been number one
Yeah, Kain in the first spot, I agree. He is so OP...
The taxi driver from Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines would have a fitting slot on the list.
A whole video could be made about Dracula and Alucard from Castlevania. They are more powerful than given credit for in this video.
I'm confused... You know about D but he wasn't number one? I feel like he's definitely the most powerful of them all but only got a passing mention during Blood Raynes description. He does have a video game also (albeit not a good one lol). Great video nonetheless. Thank you.
Dracula from castlevania should be nr1.still...respect for puttin Kain so high.
Vampire world we're great books thank you for telling us about them!!
Love blood Omen via kain legacy glad to see that as a honorable spot
The red queen gives me la magra vibes. Maybe you can do a video on Blade vampires like Deacon Frost, Drake & his demon form or Jared Nomak!!
Definitely do video game werewolves
Kain's greatest power.....his unrivaled voice acting.
