Hey Bob, thanks for making this video. I think its REALLY important for people to learn how this equipment works its got REAL value to learn more basic ways of doing a task WITHOUT electricity or some computer helping you. Im an ironworker and ive learned firging & blacksmith work as well. Not to mention the old blowtorches really appeal to the firebug in me.🤭 Im even setting up an olden day blowpipe torch for jewelry....Thanks again, have a great day. 🙂✌️
You are so right. We lived the last 6000 years with out the aid of computers. Cave mans TV was the fire. That is why I believe we enjoy the Boo-Tube so much. Making jewelry with an old blow torch is like getting in touch with your assisters. Enjoy it.
@badbadbob1 Yeah, there's still nothing as nice as a quiet room anice cup of coffee (with a shot of Bailey's) and an open fireplace to just look at...👌
When visiting Grandpas house, he had a plumber working on the sink drain. They were leading in the drain line or something like that . His bibs he wore would have caught fire if I had not told him the torch was aimed at his leg. I was 6 years old and a very curious kid. lol
i still use those torchs i love useing them thanks for making vid about them
That is great. Millions were made and the torch built our way of life today.
Cool display piece. I got one, too. Though I have not lit it for years! Nice work on this one.
I have 4 of them. Only one works without working on it.
@ I might have two, but haven’t seen the other in a long time. I’m pretty sure I only have one soldering iron, though.

Thank you Bob! I remember seeing these when I was a kid, I’m 73 now!

My old Otto Bernz works fine. I had to look all over for graphited valve packing to fix a valve leak, but it works like new.
I did pick up some Graphite and was able to pack lose bits in. It is not leaking (Yet.) lol Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
I've always wanted one of these! Thanks for sharing.
They are out there. Thanks for stopping by.
