T hunt cannot be compared to the AI playlist or the shooting range. the point of T hunt is that u get to walk into any map, be able to kill bots at a pretty fast rate all while navigating turning and maneuvering said map. You simply cannot do that in the AI playlist cuz its 5 kills per ROUND and in the shooting range yeah, its pretty fast but ur just strafing really.
There’s a mode for running around maps shooting enemies added too
That doesn't even go over the fact that you only get access to 5 of the year one attack operators. what is the point of practicing if i can't practice with what i normally use in matches?
@@npcpotpie It's in beta
@@npcpotpie yeah that too
As a person who hasn’t played/watched Siege since Iana was released is the game worth coming back to?
Honestly I prefer t-hunt sm more, there’s more enemies and it’s an actual warmup
Use the map training Warmup Drill. You can shoot enemies while learning the maps.
@@SamaelVRnot the same at all can’t play every map like house
@SamaelVR its not the same. Atleast the AI in t hunt actually moves.
@@anonymous-37 At least you get to choose the map, and it's still in beta so that will be added I would imagine
@@SamaelVR You'll learn maps significantly slower with the new system they have. You can toggle on perma pings, and even then, you can essentially just sprint madly through the entire map until a yellow ping pops up indicating you are in the correct room. There is nothing that incentives the player to really learn the map like T-hunt did. With T-hunt, there were enemies in potentially EVERY room, so you had to consider entry, and even when just going in hot, you still scanned the room for longer than 1-3 seconds to look for enemies. T-hunt gave you a reason to go room to room. The map training does not and doesn't even give you many places to go. I tried doing just one on a map I already knew (clubhouse) and it never once took me to basement. I just went to CCTV, Logistics, Master, and both halves of bar, and each time I just sprinted madly (because after the second one, I discovered that a yellow ping pops up the second you enter the correct room). I even tried this on the new map and after 30 minutes of messing around, I still have 0 clue where I'm going on lair. with T-hunt, after 30 minutes, I'd start having a rough idea of where I am.
Fuck shooting range.
Terrorist Hunt is Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six.
I truly lost faith in humanity at this point.
Its a videogame bud
Yeah, I uninstalled because quite literally was the only reason I played siege, the whole game was T Hunt for me, just lost one of my favorite games, and also lost my money, that should be illegal. You take something away that people paid for?

Another ubisoft fuck up. Taking L’s time and time again. To the point I think I’m actually done and finished with their future games. Just look at Skull & Bones, Assassins Creed Mirage, Assassins Creed Valhalla, Assassins Creed Odyssey, Assassins Creed Origins. Ghost Recon Breakpoint. Far Cry 6. Watch Dog Legion. All garbage.
My biggest issue with the removal of Thunt is the fact that the whole identity of Rainbow goes out the door with there being no terrorists in the game. Unless they plan on bringing the current lore to actual gameplay, there’s still going to be 0 gameplay purpose for team Rainbow. I believed with the new direction of the lore away from petty high school drama that Thunt would be expanded on, but it’s the opposite.
It also doesn’t help that Ubi as the dumbasses they are, developed Standard to be available to all levels but casual(newcomers) is restricted to level 10. So the new player experience is a mess.
They want the game to run for 10 more years.
Then again, it'll likely die in 5

There was literally no reason to remove t-hunt while adding the AI mode (and also shoting range). T-hunt is definitely not comparable to shooting range or versus AI, this is not about nostalgia but it's a different kind of practice. I hate Ubisoft
Exactly they could of just left T hunt and added this bull shot if they really wanted to doubt many people would play it tho damn I’m gonna miss T hunt I’ve just came back after not playing for about a year now my practice mode is just GONE
I always play t-hunt before sleep, now I can’t sleep well .
I think they removed t-hunt because too many people still play this game.
I hated that they removed T-Hunt. Shooting range doesn't feel as good because every enemy is just infront of you walking side to side in an open area. Nobody surprises you or comes at you from any which way. With T-Hunt you could learn various maps while practicing your aim and your reaction speed when a Terrorist decides to sneak up on you and surprise you. And you don't need to start up a custom match to try out various tactics, breaches, ect.
On top of that, the new AI mode is just a regular round so you only get to practice your aim on 5 AI before having to wait for the next round to start, rather than train on over 20 AI that takes no time to get started and retry if needed. Not to mention that T-Hunt is a HUGE part of the identity of Rainbow Six.
My only issue with old THunt was that you couldn’t pick the map or the game mode so usually you’d get hostage on clubhouse or something
@@black_rhino241 You could do both actually. In the options you could turn off hostage and all that and just make it to where you are just killing them as an attacker.
And you could also turn on or off any map you didn't want in the map pool, so if you wanted to you could turn off every map but the one you wanted to play and do that one every time.
That's what I did at least. I played on House or whatever new map I felt was confusing every single T-Hunt and only did the eliminate Terrorist objective on attack. That's what helped me learn the maps while practicing my aim.
@@black_rhino241actually you were able to do that and I’ve been doing it a little after launch year.
Yep, the map learning capabilities was one of the biggest points for me. I came back to this game recently, and learning new maps is just hell now. Basically the only way is to play them and get your ass handed to you because you have no knowledge. Fun stuff. Lovely people running this game.
This is so sad. It's sad because ubisoft has essentially just announced that they've given up on what rainbow six used to be. There are a lot of people who bought the game in 2015 because it was marketed as a tactical swat shooter, not the competitive shooter it is today. Sadly it doesn't look like we're getting a new rainbow six game any time soon. So those fans will be getting completely ignored for at least the next decade. Sad.
Somebody needs to make the legally distinct "Waterfall 7: Entry" or some shit like that. And Ubisoft can't be the someone who makes it! 😭😭
well at least those fans can play Ready or Not in the meantime
Exactly
with how they've managed this one over the time, i sure hope we never get another one lmao, i don't want to waste another 3 years of my life just to see the game crash down again
This is the first time that I’ve actually cried over something that I’ve actually been playing and have cared about the most. Rainbow six was a lot of fun back in launch year, and until they switched the main menu setup and started going to multiplayer. I am now considering all options to sell my disc game, and call this a goodbye. I have several videos on one of my other accounts of terrorist hunt matches and note it makes me want to cry.😢
I will no longer be a Ubisoft customer ever again. To hell with them
Tom Clancy would have been horrified at what this game has become
I honestly really liked terrorist hunt as it was the closest thing to a story mode we had in Siege. I also hated when they renamed it to "training grounds" and removed bombers, nitro cell clusters, and thermite charges from it, as those brought an interesting challenge. I really wish they had done more with terrorist hunt.
THunt was the reason my friends and myself purchased it, I don't play multiplayer games, but playing coop with friends is great, THunt has been in all Rainbow games, but not in modern gaming it has to be Competitive gaming. at least Vegas 1 and 2 still works, and there is Extraction, although they aren't doing anything with that anymore.
Story mode?😂
idk what you're smoking but i want some, there's no way you just called a random "getting warmed up" mode a story mode, the literal intro for every operator provided us with more story than t-hunt ever did
@@-mako-6018 notice how I said “closest thing to” a story mode. Not that it was one.
I say this because Siege’s lore is based around the white mask terrorists, the ones in terrorist hunt. I never saw terrorist hunt as a warm up mode or practice mode, i saw it as serious missions where we had to kill terrorists.
They are trying to hard to be family friendly

T hunt isn't for warmup, it is for fun. I play a lot of it
Yeah I don't have a problem with people wanting a warm up mode it makes sense but Thunt was so much fun Especially when it had Bombers, C4 And the terrorists would actually have thermite charges and grenades it was so much fun. This is why I play skull rain and some of the older operations today because the Thunt was so good.
It was definitely a warmup for me. When I haven't played in awhile and using a mouse didn't feel right, I needed to play a handful of T-Hunt matches just to feel somewhat normal again.

hey how do you play older versions of the game?@@sitbackreact5523
Thunt is 1) a different mode all together and 2) is the identity of siege, the actual terrorism action.
I think the Ai playlist is fine I just don’t get removing T-Hunt cause the Ai is the “improved alternative” it isn’t like they’ve made any updates to T-Hunt in numerous seasons, they could’ve just left it. (Personally I’m not a fan of shooting range, the targets just move back and forth at different speeds and doesn’t really warm anything up for you)
That argument is BS too because the Tutorials still exist which used the “old ai” and there’s no issues there
Removing T Hunt is sacrilegious to Rainbow Six, as someone who was playing Rainbow Six Vegas 1 & 2 at their heights, this sucks and even when it was in siege it wasn’t the same.
overall AI will be good for the game but they should not have gotten rid of t hunt as their play styles are completely different t hunt got you straight into the action and let you explore maps as you learned them along with giving a general idea of where people could be while AI lets you experience a no pressure quick match and lets you practice playing against defensive strats
I’m gonna miss T-hunt. Target drills feel silly, but the AI mode is probably very beneficial to new players. I think ill start using the shooting range to warmup now
HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO LEARN LAIR WITHOUT TERRORIST HUNT??? THE NEW MODE IS ONLY OREGON AND SHOOTING RANGE IS ITS OWN MAP WTF
When I was having a shitty gaming session, or just wanted to chill on a Sunday evening, I could fire up T-Hund, alone or with a friend, and have a great time, do cool swatentry, or some other stupid thinks, like: i placed claymores all over the place, and we had so much fun of that. It's just so sad that he removed T-hunt.
Honestly i think they should’ve added new t-hunt missions with every season to give some characters back story
Shooting ground doesn't do jack diddly for many. Reason being, you can only get a feel for your aim while moving when you have to shoot moving targets. But also, for my friends and I, sometimes fighting the AI is just a nice way to relax after being cucked by players for hours.
I will also note that this has been a massive trend for Ubisoft to continuously remove features from their games as time progresses for absolutely no reason. In siege it is extremely apparent when you go back in time to the beta or the 1st season of siege when everything was different, people had much more, there was more gadgets, more randomness, more ways to play and other general features that have since been removed for no reason. They could have kept T-hunt while adding these other features to give players more to do... their solution? Remove all of that and try to replace it.
Its not about "learning" its about having mindless fun against stupid and massively numbered AI. Something we dont have now since we only have "shooting range" or the other thing. Least with T hunt, those of us who enjoyed it and didn't want to put up with the stupid, annoying, and downright unenjoyable multiplayer of the game could simply go to that... now its officially forced onto everyone who owns the game.
If you're an OG siege player, not a competitive only loser, then you'd understand the outrage. Since siege has and should have always been about the terrorists and how it was a swat based shooter. Now, its a glorified version of itself that no longer is even trying to hide the fact that all the old games, all the old lore, everything... was pointless, nonexistent, or anything left made irrelevant. This is nothing but a massive downgrade, because Varsity, NOT EVERYTHING IS ABOUT MULTIPLAYER!
when valk impacted herself i concluded my thoughts on this gamemode 😂
The amount of Thunt bots that have breach charged themselves says the contrary
I played it earlier today with randoms on advanced. Aced the first two rounds pretty much solo. If IM acing the hardest AI bots, then Ubisoft has messed the AI up badly
@@varsityreviews707it depends on what you’re planning on doing with what site and what op because it’s near impossible to drone site early because the mute ai knows the best spots to place them

Standard is the only online mode that allows brand new accounts. You have to be lvl 5 for Arcade and lvl 10 for Quick Match. Seems weird to me to allow a brand new player into what is essentially ex-Unranked but *not* Arcade or Quick Match (especially QM).
Yeah I just brought the game and this was confusing for me at first. Felt like I got plunged into super try hard matches first time playing those maps. Of course, I was just bad/learning the game but still.
T-hunt was super comfy and fun for learning new maps. Its hard to focus on exploring and remembering the layout of the map when you have site prep and an enemy team to worry about, while just going into a custom game with no enemies is boring and unproductive.
Having terrorists in the room helps remember their layout when it comes to spots you can hide behind and gives you actual feedback when you die, since the next t-hunt you'll know to watch out for that room which helps you instantly sear it into your mind.
EDIT: typo
t hunt will be in our hearts for eternity
Used to split screen t hunt in Vegas out was a staple core memory for me
I miss you T Hunt you’re the reason why I have a 1.4 KD and a balanced mental state :)
My problem is it doesn’t replace it with anything near equivalent. AI clumps in one site and you play first to 3, making it take way longer than one t-hunt and using way less of the map. The map drills in theory should replace t-hunt but the dummies don’t move and they’re only in one spot at a time. Not to mention there’s barely any maps in these new practice modes.
So the alternative is AI that sometimes don't even let you drone because they just all wander outside or instantly know where you are based on one kill on the opposite side of the map? Never thought I'd see the day people actually defend terrorist hunt, like that was some flawless mode.
@@SamaelVR you re just bad if you die against thunt ai

I kinda liked just going on T-hunt at like 2 AM just listening to music and shooting. I don't think this mode brings much of anything to the game that another mode doesn't do better.
T Hunt was fun, also love the bomber vest, game feels to competitive sometimes so some t Hunt was fun to relax now i dont feel like siege anymore tbh
Rainbow six without thunt is like cod with no zombies. I used to pass the controller around taking turns on thunt and had so much fun with friends.
I know not a single person that uses shooting range to warm up. I agree that thunt should stay until verse ai is more advanced. Another problem is that you can only use five attackers when ubi knows damn well everyone uses diff ops (ok not EVERYONE but you get the point)
They should of just got rid of that instead if anything
One thing is I hate playing with random on ai because warming up in shooting range is so annoying
The terrorists may be gone from Siege but they will forever live on as Reunion.

One of the bots for this Ai Playlist NEEDS to be Cav, I feel. I do think for this playlist to work, they need a decent amount of different operators the bots can play as, if it's the same 5 operators every time, might new players struggle to learn how to play against different things?
Maybe T-Hunt might not have been the best training ground, but it seemed like a fun side mode.
Also, if T-Hunt is gone, are Team Rainbow even a Counter terrorist unit anymore, or they are some weird Olympic sports team?
As a new player to Siege I was excited to play T-Hunt and Art-7 with my friends before I found out it was all removed days before I got it, since being new to the game and jumping into match making after the game being around for so many years resulted in... extreme losing streaks to say the least. Sure we could play the AI vs Mode ( which we did for a bit ) but if you played those modes you'd see experienced players jump in for a few rounds to do dailies and then instantly leave once that was completed, giving you very little time to actually learn anything as a player and leaving you down a team mate or three that did most of the work for you in the first few rounds.
T-Hunt and the one story based Op sounded like a fun challenge that didn't have any pressure on us to win or lose on since we could just keep playing it to try and get better, just a bunch of enemies to run against and learn to clear out before jumping into a more controlled and skilled lobby with actual players, but I never got to experience that for myself. Instead I got to experience what felt like a 20 game losing streak where no matter if I did the best or the worst on a team, we would lose no matter what.
The shooting range and AI verses modes do not seem like they give the same feel T-Hunt game play does by the looks of it and it's just kinda sad that the few modes in the game that had anything to do with the story were completely removed for seemingly no reason, even if a majority of current players stopped playing it that doesn't mean you should remove a experience that new players could have had. You don't see other games taking out modes because it isn't the most popular game mode, and when it does happen it's usually met with bad reception for it.
Hi, I’m “new” here and me and my friend just bought it to have fun against Ai as our level doesnt match quick game or other online players. I’m on PS5 and the AI versus is “Beta” at the moment and only one map and a few operators available.
Is that mean they still working on it and will be full in the future?🙄
@@MrKozmat There might be more in the future, but how long that takes or what maps I have no idea.
This just made me think that Ubi should've made the Ts in THunt be able to sprint, position themselves more randomly than their fixed positions, ADS whenever they're walking or camping, and also not have that weird slow corner turning thing they do.
“If you need to warm up your aim there’s the shooting range” easiest do not recommend ever
I had the same thing with lvl 1~5 players these days. I'm pretty sure it's because THEY REMOVED THE NEWCOMER MODE and there is lvl restriction on casual(10) and not on standard. Newbies under lvl 10 have nothing to play but standard on multiplayer. This patch is irrational.
When I tried this. The AI was trash but got better towards the end. But then again I was trolling and trying to knife them because how bad they were.
What I would like to see is a defense option.
Dude that first 5 seconds of the video took me back. Old house sledge acog. Just a better time. Game felt more “real” idk why
for some reason i keep getting put into lobbies with champs in standard, im low plat but its still annoying when im just tryna chill and its not fair on my friends who aren't as good who keep having to face champs which just ruins the game for them
2.0 operation health. From what I have accumulated for information, this is the problem.
I played this game a lot for the first few years it was out, last time was in 2019. I decided to start playing it again, only to see there is no terrorist hunt anymore, which was my favorite mode. Very disappointing to say the least.
One of the problems I have is that they put this into the game but didn’t change the missions in Ubisoft connect. So I’m stuck with a 20 rifle kills in training grounds mission.
getting back into siege has been an interesting experience for me but watching your videos helps me get the motivation to keep playing it!
i think T-hunt should come back because it is a way to warm up and to do dumb stuff on the hardest mode.
i haven’t played this game in years but damn i’m pretty sad this is gone. i would always play this with my friends to have fun and grind renown for alpha pack openings and to get new ops. t hunt has been a big part of siege and to see it gone after it being in the game for so long makes me sad
My biggest problem with T hunt being removed is one the severe lag, two you only get to pick btwn 5 operators which is stupid cause I like to use operators I don’t usually play with to kind of try new things with them depending on the map
Fuck Ubisoft. T-Hunt was so damn fun to play solo and with friends.
First they remove bombers/barbed wire/proximity nitro cells, then they remove T-Hunt???
They cant fathom to make a fucking toggle switch? How hard is that? Instead they ERASE everything a large portion of players loved. Not worth my time now
I definitely think that the AI mode is going to be great in the future, especially when they allow for the bots to have different ops and site setups, but I'm mostly mad about the fact that they restrict YOU to 6 ops. It's kind of ridiculous.

What I figured out is that when you start the game you can play standard but you need to be level 10 to play quick match which is odd to me since it should at least be the other way around
13:00 new players start with standard right away because thats the only playlist they have access to

Gonna miss T Hunt but I really hope the devs continue to expand on the AI playlist. If they're going to release a map available for play, code for all sites.
Your argument is so so close to valid
Gym/Bed is coded in. It’s complete random chance that decides what site the AI chooses (for me it’s mostly been gym/bed for some reason with CCTV/Cash next, then Basement/Church in last place. Bar is still N/A, I’m pretty sure that one’s not coded in

My matchmaking has been so broken even before Ranked 2.0. A lot of times (not all the time), my teammates are just so bad, I feel like I am the skill ceiling of my team, meanwhile my enemies are the same level as I do and beyond. If I try, I still lose and if I dont, I still lose.
Coupled with the TDM meta, I have started to give up this game, I only play like 1/10 of what I used to.
i enjoy playing t hunt as a pve gamemode not a "warmup" , its a good place to have fun with friends and try out different way to clear it as fast as we can without getting shot
"I swear to god, they are going to go spawnpeek" 😂😂😂
I like the new ai system, but I don’t understand why remove t hunt. Why can’t Ubisoft just keep t hunt and add ai game mode so everyone’s happy
Managing two AI, plus they're reducing the size of the application by 20gb. Let's be honest, t hunt was barely functional as it was, it's a year 1 relic that doesn't really fit in what Siege is supposed to be with now
Siege is just overall tough to stay consistent in with so many different variables always being the reason of death
no joke but real mens used to farm money with TH now its impossible......
Bought it recently and decided yesterday to boot it up the first time and played a couple matches of that mode with randoms. And oof idk what even happened i had like ppl just rush in while i was still outside and suddenly we won huh
They need a AI Matt who just has random hacks
lol they have enough aim bot to feel like im going against 5 cheaters
Not sure how anyone can think removing terrorist hunt is the right thing for Ubisoft to do. Can completely understand if they don’t want to keep providing support for it but in that case surely it’s better to just leave it there as is, unchanged since the game launched?! In reality, they spent time, money and effort removing it and for a lot of people it was all they played. Game for me and a friend is good for the bin now.
I had a team mate a few weeks ago in RANKED that didn't know who gridlock was and I was playing her. So we as a team would be pushing site and he is shooting my spikes thinking its a defender tool. For 3 rounds in a row of telling them that it's a friendly gadget please don't shoot it. Pretty sure he bought the account because there were multiple gadgets that they had no idea what they were and he jumps straight into ranked
If the Smoke surprises with the shottie you're dead
Bruh the Valk impacting herself at point blank range like that was prime Ubi lmaooo
without t hunt I won't even play siege now. That's all we did
This mode is fun. I enjoy it but it feels odd. On how they kinda act like a new/regular player. Also they can somehow defuse the lunchbox through a wall
The reasons a bunch of people who are new play standard is cause sometimes it won’t let new players play quick match and they are forced to play standard until they reach a high enough level
There's a group of people i seen that go around getting people kicked from the game cause they team kill themselves using someones gadget getting the other player kicked
Crazy how this turned out to be hacker replay.
They released some patch notes, they're not suppose to impact or c4 the wall to make last minute rotates, kinda like what that Valk did, aside from that, think this'll help than throwing new players into the trenches and learn the game that way.
Honestly, it was outdated. Terrorists bugged sometimes and it was barely a practice. Hopefully they can expand on the AI training
Problem with the new mode is implementing an attack ai is harder than the defence and you cant even use all the ops you want. On top of all that it means you cant practice guns on the ops you want. One of the main reasons people liked thunt was because you go in and just practice popping ai heads but her you strategise and have to hold angles and all that most people dont do that for warmups they only want fast , quick aim oriented training with none of this extra stuff involved
Also instead of this “warmup” you might aswell just queue for quick match
Yes but it was fun to just shit on ai. Sometimes I just wanted to do that
U can do that on Beginner AI, and I'm sure the'y'll add more ops later. But yea I loved thunt they should've fixed it tho cus it was buggy@@griddycheese

0:07 this is why I stopped playing siege. I didnt play T-hunt for a warmup I played it because it was fun. I feel like the whole community is so focused on being "good" they forgot how to have fun. Same goes for most shooters but I used to love siege so this kinda sucks
kinda late but since there was usually 23 enemies per t-hunt, coulda made and expert mode where every enemy is an operator, even in hostage mode, would love to be rushed by an ai blitz or pushed down by an oryx
T hunt was fun because it felt like an actual mission you had an actual enemy to fight i used to think defenders were the bad guys till i learned the whole game is operators training together i would like to see events that have us do missions like the ones we see in the cinematics
My problem with this is the map learning, I dont want to play against realistic bots, I want a huge amount of target practice bots to shoot while roaming the map... They tried to compensate by adding "Map learning tool" or whatever, but forgot to add maps...
The ai mode is fun, but sometimes when I turn on advanced the ai turn on straight up wall hacks 😭
Oh wow that’s crazy
Stopped watching and playing siege years ago but still subbed... Good points made all around but imo Thunt was a must for quick aim drills
I feel like they gotta add more operators
They could have improved upon terrorist hunt, but no, they gutted it then removed it completely. Like what the hell?
As someone that speedran terrorist hunt theres literally no replacement for this. The speedrunning community was small but now its completely gone.
