The thing to remember in times which are less than ideal is that it is not joy that makes you grateful, it is gratitude that makes you joyful. Well done for being so stoic and dealing with the situation, knowing billions in the world are much worse off. There’s nothing worse than someone living the dream, whingeing.

Definitely cool how many times Nick says he is grateful for being there, vs complaining about quarantine measures.

great episode ..i thought by day 9 Nick would be under the sink inspecting the plumbing and rating the credenza joinery on a scale of 1 to 10

Yes, Nick's historical behavior pattern is why they searched their luggage for tools before they were shown to their room! ;-P (never underestimate what he can accomplish with a nail file, duct tape, and a 9v battery)

The best part of this video is at 11:00 where Nick quotes Jon Bon Jovi and looks up at Terysa for her reaction. We should all be so lucky to still love our spouse and care about his/her opinions as much as these two do after so long together. Thank you for sharing your lives with us.

Thank you Nick and Terysa for a new quest. I'm American but have tried and very much like Tim Tams. If we can ever get back to Europe, I now need to try Penquins and pass my humble judgement.

As an American who’s been in Aus this whole pandemic I really appreciate your ability to be okay with the quarantine and understand why it’s needed - no one thinks it’s easy but your ability to put your own individual desires below the health of an entire country is commendable (not everyone seems able to do that). Also after watching nahoas experience I can safely say Australian quarantine looks way better than Thai quarantine- way less single use plastic and you get beer too!

I did it returning to England from South Africa a couple of weeks ago. Just have to accept it and not let it wind you up. In England we were allowed to go outside so I went 3 times a day in to the car park, managed to do 90km walking around in ⭕️

I know you ordered the 1370, but looking forward to your travels on the 1260 and your thoughts of it. Hope you're having a great time cruising the East coast. If you're still restricted by COVID and looking for something to do, you should try sailing the West Coast... some amazing spots such as Ningaloo Reef and the Kimberleys to explore.

Refreshingly different! I have been doing the same "quarantine dance" for almost the entire year (I live in a covid hotspot with a state government that firmly believes if you are susceptible to the virus, you should just not leave your home). I hope that your two week quarantine experience helps to let you know exactly how much your adventure sharing has helped to keep my sanity! I can't tell you how much your attitude towards the quarantine and your sharing of the daily routine helps me to feel "not so alone" in my daily routine for the past year! I had my second Phizer vaccine last week, my tormented year is almost over! I just can't thank you enough for sharing your times out in the world! It means so much!!!

Being stuck in quarantine must not be any fun, but I'm glad you shared this with us. It kind of puts a different perspective on a lot of things. Maybe kind of a reality check. We're never going to get rid of COVID, I wish the world governments would wise up and let people go back to living a normal life so that we can get on with it. People are going to die, but hell, they die from the flu, drunk driving, cancer, heart disease, etc. Let's live life.
At least the two of you have the opportunity to go sailing in beautiful Oz, somewhere I'd like to visit one day. I look forward to seeing your adventures on the 1260.
