Alison Sealy-Smith has joined the MCU and her as the Goddess of Thunder and mother figure to the team is just beautiful. The picture with the Guardians of the Multiverse you see Thor is not worthy as he is party Thor leading to Storm becoming Goddess of Thunder and getting the armor.
I love the respect they’ve given Storm lately! She’s not just an omega level mutant, she’s a goddess in some deities. This is a perfect depiction of her!
It does seem pretty clear that what Doomsday and Secret Wars will be is first a battle between "Avengers" teams - including probably Captain Carter's multiversal squad with Khorri and Birdie - and then them teaming up to face off against Doom and his alliance, which i think may not be as clearly villainous as we expect. I could seen Doom's team consisting of people like Strange, White Vision, Thanos, Superior Iron Man, and whatever other characters are more motivated by linear logic and ruthless pragmatism than the more emotion-led team probably led by Sam Wilson. Its not quite the story I'd want, but it feels like that's the easiest way to pull all these strings together in the next couple of years.

3:38 and you know what coy that’s what I’ve been saying about what if, not only is it trying to see what it’s audience can connect to but it’s also a way of marvel saying “this is the weird and wacky stuff we want to do that live action will not let us” people often judge this show about what could’ve been and never about what it is and that’s MY problem with how the show’s is received, they dislike or hate it because it’s not what they wanted, never about what we got, so it makes them hate watch to oblivion and honestly that’s literally most of the post endgame mcu discourse, it’s not up to me to say if writing has gotten better or worse because I personally don’t focus on that, but most criticism levied against the mcu is about what people think they want and not getting as if the mcu hasn’t been built up without our interests in mind, the mcu has been built on risks and what if is just another risk I’ve enjoyed
Maybe you could review and recommend old comics that are relevant to current events? Like do some Exile comics, explain both the 80s and the Hickman Secret Wars, New Avengers etc.
To me What If was always marketed as an anthology series like The Twilight Zone sp the fact that we got any continuity at all in the end is a bonus to me rather than a requirement I wish I got earlier 🤷🏽♂️ coherence wasn't necessary but consistency was there for me. The two previous seasons sprinkled in a bit of continuity but didn't go all in until the last episode so i kind of expected it but didnt require it. Ironically I find The Eternals boring in the comics AND the movies, just bland characters with no relatability, so that was my least engaging episode but every episode was at least an 8 out of ten for me, most 9s. I was invested in Darcy and Howard's story so seeing Birdie grown up kicking butt and being an intelligent asset to the team made me super happy. And we got STORM! I am 100% content and in love with this episode 😅 🙏🏾💜
Storm goddess of thunder is something we seriously need to see happen in the Live action MCU. She always has been stuck in far back row support character limbo in all the movies she appeared, and I would love to see her actually have some importance for once.
I wish they would reconsider this being the last season. At least until the multiverse is destroyed at the end of Secret Wars. It was cool seeing Storm along other characters who have been in the MCU.
Rumor : it’s been said the Kevin Fiege actually vetoed a lot of the stories for season 3 and the handicapped the writers to just make this out of left field episodes
I’ve been enjoying these summaries, and your honest opinions on each episode. This being the ending of the What If?! series and Exiles being name dropped makes me wonder if that will be what the show evolves into especially now that we have X-Men on the roster. Exiles was one of my favourite X-Men comic spin-offs and I’d love to see it realised in animated form. Seeing Nocturne, good Sabertooth and Mimic in the MCU would be amazing! One can dream 😅 Anyways, keep up the good work, looking forward to the finale tomorrow 👍🏾
I thought they were also gonna bring in RiriVision. Giving her the infinity stones would have a similar power and a guaranteed ally compared to infinity ultra. I like this ultron's rationale for helping, but still think ririvisi9n would have been more exciting and made this season moe cohesive.
i have enjoyed this season but, yes, it is not as good as season 2. Captain Carter has become one of my favorite MCU characters and I would LOVE to see her team up with Loki. Also I really want to see Kahhori's character continue in some form and I want Hasbro to release a Marvel Legends figure ASAP.

I'll be honest hated this episode and think its possibly the worst what if episode. Nothing was explained. Where did storm come from and how does she know the guardians of the multiverse? How would they be informed that the watcher is missing? How did birdie, storm and carter meet? Since when did captain carter suddenly get a ship and the ability to keep an eye on the multiverse? Where did they get their kang looking ship? Nothing but questions without a single answer. This entire season shows how lazy they got.They wouldn't even explain the nexus events or what caused the branching timeline.
I'd wait to make that call. You could be totally right, and I think these are some valid points, but this is more of a part 1 than any other episode with the "To be continued" at the end. An episode of television can retroactivly change ones opinion on a previous episode or completly recontectualize it. Light spoilers for Agatha All Along The last episode reveals that Agatha has knowledge on the Witch's Road that completly changes every scene of her convincing others to join her. Spoilers over That second part also comes out a day later. Maybe all of the questions you asked will get answered and it just couldn't all fit into twenty somthing minutes, or maybe you're right and we are left with all of them still lingering. We'll just have to wait and see.

After season 2 The Watcher further works with Peggy to guard the multiverse and since then has been on a journey and recruitment drive and some over the years have died. Storm's introduction and the tools at hand give that character a sense of passing time. This episode also shows you how they were informed about the missing Watcher.
Not gonna lie…. episode 1-6 were absolutely amazing… but this one… i don’t like it. They Made the same mistake with ultron that they made in the MCU, they tried to make him humanlike. And what happened to ma boi T‘Challa😢

If this Ultron did regret his decisions couldn’t he just use the infinity stones to undo what he did?
That's a good question. Thanos said before that the stones could create a universe, but maybe he was wrong?
