Yes, my question exactly, Jess Updegrove! Is it better to put the frame on AFTER it's been painted?? In my opinion, I would put the frame on the canvas and THEN paint it so I can put the canvas on an easel and it would be much easier to paint (rather than having to paint the canvas as it's laying flat on the table) What does Paint Plot recommend?
Lisa Coley I got a reply! I had emailed them as well. The lady said “Most “real artists” prefer to stretch the canvas before they paint. I personally prefer to stretch the canvas after I’ve finished it because I don’t have very steady hands. I want to rest my hand on the canvas while working on it so I put it flat on a table. In other words, it’s completely up to you.”
I have bought a chalk board and plan on pinning the canvas to it. Then canvas isn't stretched when I am painting. Plus, I have a flat solid surface behind the canvas to stand it up on an easel.

@@FyreSakura12 thank you so much for sharing this.
Whats the size of the board and the painting as well? Thanks
Can you glue the frame together and glue the canvas on to the frame so you have a better stronger finish? (My first time doing a pbn)
Do we put it in the frame after the painting is done or before we paint? Does it matter?
I hope they answer our question, lol :)

By the way you have put the canvas on incorrectly on the frame ..the raised lip goes against the canvas not the way you put it it
this canvas isn't stretched... it's just attached to the frame. lame...
