What happened in Saudi Arabia was actually a Two on One Handicap match and Shawn Michaels was just there as a special enforcer. You can’t tell me otherwise.
Shawn Michaels as an entertainer is what everyone in the business should strive to be. IDC about his out of the rings problems. When it was showtime he brought it every match.
True enough... he did bring it every match... Unless said match took place in the mid to late 90's, and it didn't involve either Bret Hart, the Intercontinental Championship, or the Heavywieght Championship. THEN he brought it every match.
kingjay239 damn right, we did get a tease when Michaels was commissioner if I remember🤔 he got fired as commissioner and showed up with DX as back up (it’ll be on here probably)
Alex Kanyima sometimes, people have to make sacrifices and that’s one I wouldn’t have minded lol. Jk. I, glad he got sober, but I wish he could have gotten sober and still stayed
Aside from the one night only 'reunions between 07 - 08, I felt by 09 DX had run its course and the original pairing of Shawn Michaels and Triple H had gone as far as it could go especially as the company had fully embraced the PG format. Their August 2009 - March 2010 run failed to recapture the magic of the reunion from 2006 which made it so epic but I still enjoyed their feuds with Legacy and Jerishow which produced some great matches. I was happy to see Shawn Michaels and Triple H finally win the tag team titles which was a great moment. I'm glad HBK got to have the perfect send off for his retirement and have two final epic Wrestlemania matches with Undertaker as his final opponent, you couldn't ask for a higher note to go out on until he returned for the brothers of destruction vs DX match at the crown jewel show in Saudi Arabia but I don't really count that...
@THE LAST MUJAHID the writing was clearly on the wall for DX when Hornswoggle was added to the mix and I got the sense that HBK at times looked absolutely bored with the whole thing and looked like he wanted to quietly wrap things up. Their 06 reunion was much better and a lot more exciting, 2009-2010 just felt like they were going through the motions.
While I'm not the biggest fan of the 2009 DX, I can't knock it completely because I actually saw them at a house show in Dublin that year against Legacy. It was a good match and a good night overall.
Unpopular opinion but 2009 DX was great. They produced some great matches and had a lot of fun moments. Yes it’s not like the 90s DX but we don’t need to compare them since it’s a different time period.
Okay, just the intro to this video alone, with "You Don't Know" by Eminem, 50 Cent, Ca$his, and Lloyd Banks, I can already tell this is gonna be awesome. I'm already sold on your channel as it is, but this time, you outdid yourself, WB. Bravo 🍻
Fact: HBK had the best going out retirement match. He left on his own terms, atoning for the sins of the first retirement and leaving a legacy that NO one can question.
@MrJarvishead in the WWE you can retire and still come back from match now and again it's still considered your retirement match. Don't ask me why it's like this but it's how it is any other sport it's not but this is sports entertainment his retirement match was against taker just like Ric Flair's retirement match in my opinion was against HBK even though he went to TNA afterwards
@MrJarvishead In your opinion, which is what you left out. HBK retired at WM26, Shawn has said it many times and so has WWE. Other wrestlers have come back and done one off matches, that's doesn't magically make them not retired though.
Not Rude yea he was an original member and founder but it was so brief that's why he's never mentioned DX is what it is HBK HHH Chyna X pac Road Dogg and Gunn they been DX for 20yrs
I was pretty much done with wrestling after the Invasion and the Brand Split. Just wasn't the same anymore. These videos help me pick out what's worth watching after that point. I missed the whole second half of Shawn Michaels career.
It's funny because I grew up with the OG DX, and HBK is/was my favorite wrestler not named Terry Bollea (I'm an 80s kid, sue me), but I didn't know they had so many reunions. I'm kind of glad that the last time I saw them live was in the form they were in, but it was cool to see how they ended things formally.
The start of the Survivor Series match in 2009 actually shocked me and for that period for anything to shock anyone it had to be good. The crowd actually didn't know how to react at all at first. John Cena's reaction was the same as everyone else's.
To this day, I enjoyed DX and still the best faction in WWE history. They always make me laugh and I never can get enough of HHH & HBK. A must watch indeed
Great job as always Wrestling Bios. Watching the DX retrospective makes me wonder what will pass for a nostalgia act 20 years from now in WWE? There is no faction that comes close to DX (possibly the New Day) and there is no star as big as the Rock or Austin as WWE is all about the company and each performer is a part of the WWE brand rather than an individual.
Already said, but did you really drop a DX "You Don't Know" remix at the beginning? Woah, that is seriously some cool s*** I can't believe how rad that sounded. WB killer
One thing I respect about Austin is he retired and stayed retired. He knew his time was up (sadly too soon) and didn't have these poor in ring performances.
I mean, you would retire too if you came to the point where your back could only hold you up for a match every month. It wasn’t worth it for the rattlesnake to end up in a wheelchair but instead on an ATV
I never bitch about the dx returns because can you imagine being in the arena when it happens. Like it must a great memory for anyone live, and wrestling is still a live sport imo
D-X had what I guess you could call an unofficial reunion earlier this year. It wasn’t an in-ring segment, but Hunter, Shawn and Road Dogg (who’s also in NXT heading up the creative team) announced the TakeOver: In Your House PPV in a pretty amusing skit. They also made a brief appearance during the show itself that harkened back to the infamous AOL live chat Michaels did back in 1995, there’s an extended version of the skit on WWE’s UA-cam channel.
Lol the remix at the beginning of the video was pretty cool. Never thought I'd hear 50 Cent & Eminem on a remix to the DX theme lol. Nice one. But yeah, this version of DX I've always hated. I'm just like everyone else where I felt this version of DX was too lame. 90's DX will always be the best imo lol. Anyway, another great video again :)
I wasn't watching at the time, but was there a belief that HBK could end the streak or was it generally known that it was going to be his retirment match? Great vid as always WB
In the first match I think there was an actual belief he would be the one to do it or at least people genuinely were sure. By the time the second one came around I think most people knew that it was only going one way and that his retirement was the most obvious outcome.
Actually there was a crazy rumor circulated that HBK might beat Taker, and it would lead to Taker vs HBK III in Hell in a Cell (again) Career vs Career. I thought it was bogus, even tho I can't deny I was secretly hoping for it,especially now in hindsight seeing how the eventual Streak-Breaking match itself went down, and how I would have loved to see HBK wrestle for another year.
Little Gipper the only thing that kept them from being second rate is they had the Kliqs idea man; Waltman. His ideas really define both the nwo and DX.
@@Thor-Orion the kid was really so much more than any of us thought at that time. Like I was a fan of sixx, but when he appeared on raw with hhh, I was like "wow, wcw will regret not keeping him".
Little Gipper i knew he must have mattered when he was always with Hall and Nash. I was really young watching then, but the three of them together were majorly over as tweeners.
People now talk about the DX reunion as the worst thing ever, but we had some great feuds with DX vs Legacy, DX vs Jerishow, and even a good mini feud with John Morrison and the Miz with hilarious skits. They were funnier than anything we get nowadays, in my opinion.
Oh god, this is the point where they completely jumped the shark with the inter-dimensional portal under the ring into 'Little People's Court'. Yeah...for me that astoundingly stupid skit totally undermined and devalued that DX run in its entirety.
The submission counts anywhere in the building was decent. There was another one at the 2010 Hell In A Cell, between Daniel Bryan, John Morrison and The Miz, for the United States Championship.
I don’t even watch wrestling anymore, but I love these trips down memory lane.
Wouldn't have expected to see my most watched easter egg channel on my most watched wrestling channel, that's cool
Same
Yeah same can’t watch it anymore it’s too cringey I just watch stuff I used to enjoy, it’s dying unfortunately no more house hold names
Same!
never thought mr Eggcellent watched wrestling. you learn something new everyday
i think every fan can agree that everything that happens at Saudi is NOT Canon.
HBK return never happend.
😂😂😂😂😂
Im down with that(no pun intended)
Is better to forget about it lol
What HBK return?
What happened in Saudi Arabia was actually a Two on One Handicap match and Shawn Michaels was just there as a special enforcer. You can’t tell me otherwise.
50 Cent x DX is the musical combo I didn’t know I needed
Shawn Michaels as an entertainer is what everyone in the business should strive to be. IDC about his out of the rings problems. When it was showtime he brought it every match.
True enough... he did bring it every match...
Unless said match took place in the mid to late 90's, and it didn't involve either Bret Hart, the Intercontinental Championship, or the Heavywieght Championship.
THEN he brought it every match.
Imagine had Michaels not gotten hurt and we’d gotten full strength DX in the attitude era🔥
Rob Picken ugh, it would have been amazing tbh
kingjay239 damn right, we did get a tease when Michaels was commissioner if I remember🤔 he got fired as commissioner and showed up with DX as back up (it’ll be on here probably)
Alex Kanyima sometimes, people have to make sacrifices and that’s one I wouldn’t have minded lol. Jk. I, glad he got sober, but I wish he could have gotten sober and still stayed
Alex Kanyima not necessarily, his wife smartened him up
Rob Picken yea, that’s true. But man, there were so many amazing opportunities us fans could have had.
Aside from the one night only 'reunions between 07 - 08, I felt by 09 DX had run its course and the original pairing of Shawn Michaels and Triple H had gone as far as it could go especially as the company had fully embraced the PG format.

Just clicked on this now, that DX/Em+50 remix is SERIOUS! 🔥🔥🔥
You a legend for that intro
DX was one of the best things about WWE in 2006. That’s not saying much, but it is what it is.
You seriously need to release your own mashups, your remixes in the intro are incredible.
You know how I feel about themes and that opening theme was HOT!!! 🔥🔥🔥
Wrestling bios you legit have the best remixes during your intros! Keep up the good work
I wish we got to see The Outsiders vs DX, would've been nice to see a Kliq War
Okay, just the intro to this video alone, with "You Don't Know" by Eminem, 50 Cent, Ca$his, and Lloyd Banks, I can already tell this is gonna be awesome. I'm already sold on your channel as it is, but this time, you outdid yourself, WB. Bravo 🍻
Ca$his is underrated and to me had the best verse
@@DWill357 I'll say that he didn't have the weakest verse, but hell yeah hes underrated. County Hound EP is still my favorite album of his.
Fact: HBK had the best going out retirement match. He left on his own terms, atoning for the sins of the first retirement and leaving a legacy that NO one can question.
I don’t think anyone can say it better then that
@MrJarvishead No his retirement match was WM 26 vs Taker. Saudi Arabia was him coming out of retirement for 1 night only.
@MrJarvishead in the WWE you can retire and still come back from match now and again it's still considered your retirement match. @MrJarvishead In your opinion, which is what you left out. HBK retired at WM26, Shawn has said it many times and so has WWE. Other wrestlers have come back and done one off matches, that's doesn't magically make them not retired though.
DX is Michaels, HHH, Chyna and Rude. Great times.
Rude’s role in the stable is so under appreciated these days
Not Rude yea he was an original member and founder but it was so brief that's why he's never mentioned DX is what it is HBK HHH Chyna X pac Road Dogg and Gunn they been DX for 20yrs
To be fair after Rude bailed out he was replaced by Harvey Whippleman ( spoofing as Rude ) and was kicked from the group
Manek Iridius After getting surgery to fix her mug, I was like, “my pants are very, very tight now”
no dx is hhh new age outlawz and pac.
can never fault your vids or the subject off said vids man !! ill enjoy this with a beer thanks bro!
I love your videos , says a long time follower. thank you for all the work you put in.
I was pretty much done with wrestling after the Invasion and the Brand Split. Just wasn't the same anymore. These videos help me pick out what's worth watching after that point. I missed the whole second half of Shawn Michaels career.
Well, I never knew I needed a DX Eminem 50 Cent remix in my life. I’m good with it 👍🏼
It's funny because I grew up with the OG DX, and HBK is/was my favorite wrestler not named Terry Bollea (I'm an 80s kid, sue me), but I didn't know they had so many reunions. I had already stop watching wrestling by then but I remember people going nuts about that. My guys that still watched wrestling were shocked
The Cena/DX match was very well done. The super kick to HHH and Cenas face was the selling point.
I always enjoy how thorough you are in these videos, thank you for your insight!
I’ve always got time to watch DX make a return, even when they are in their 90’s if they last that long.
To this day, I enjoyed DX and still the best faction in WWE history. They always make me laugh and I never can get enough of HHH & HBK. A must watch indeed
Daaaam WB (Wrestling Bios) your making my cup overfloweth

John Morrison Vs The Miz vs Daniel Bryan in 2010 was also an excellent Submissions count anywhere Match
Shawn should have won the title in that wrestlemania :(
That intro was cleannn ngl
Always love the intro remixes
You should do a story of Shawn, Undertaker, and Triple H at Wrestlemania. Fantastic story and matches there.
I'll say it. Last time DX was any good was 1998.
Damn I feel old now oh damn I am 😂 attitude ERA the best ever...X Generation ‼️
I never bitch about the dx returns because can you imagine being in the arena when it happens. Like it must a great memory for anyone live, and wrestling is still a live sport imo
Love that intro
They had some good matches with jerishow and legacy
@gerizzyYMcrew how were they ripoffs? I thought both teams were great.
@gerizzyYMcrew what gimmick? 2 top heels becoming a team? If that's the case then Triple H and Stone Cold did it before rated-rko.
That's a real Fued @Rated R Superstar and by the way not even original to come up with your own Nick name so you had to steal edge's 😂😂😂
Well you can't blame them, watering down the hell in the cell. The Undertaker vs mankind was way to high. No one can top that
I remember in 2006 I was happy to see the band get back together.
Oh boy, D-X '09...
@THE LAST MUJAHID they were lame though. Old men trying to be young
You sure know how to hit that "make me feel old" button.
Are you ready? Break it down!
Sweet Chin Music on a child is peak DX.
I loved dx. At one time it was my favorite faction. The attitude era was amazing
16:54 Kevin Nash couldn't make the trip because he tore a quad standing at the ticket counter.
The most dangerous member of DX was definitely Hornswoggle fr
That's a nice mix with the 50 cent vocal
god bless the DX army!!!
Im baccccckkk!

DX and "You Don't Know" by Eminem, 50 Cent and friends? I approve of this.
My era
Excellent as always
You bout to enter UA-cam legendary status just off these song intro remixes
Ok but that remix at the beginning was fire
Lol the remix at the beginning of the video was pretty cool. Never thought I'd hear 50 Cent & Eminem on a remix to the DX theme lol. Nice one.

Who would've pictured the career of Shawn Michaels back in 1990 when he was in the rockers .....
Thank you for this
DX IMO was a product of the 1990s. All other incarnations (especially ones with Hornswoggle) were meh.
Agreed. The '06 version was decent but nothing compares to '97 and '98....
I remember this Legacy vs Dx match, I have never seen Shawn begging like this, this was the most vulnerable Shawn i have seen..
shawn michaels dx attire at that time was his best dx attire imo
This was the most embarrassing moment in DX history. Two middle aged guys coming out and making playground jokes. It was so cringe.
DX is always going to be a second rate nWo!

I always thought if DX vs nWo at WM31 had ONLY played out 15-20 years earlier it may have been most epic match in WM history
There was one other submissions count anywhere match at hell in a cell 2010. It was a triple threat between Daniel Bryan vs Miz vs John Morrison
Submission Falls Count Anywhere at Hell in a Cell 2010.
D-Generation Kurt was something at Raw XXX xD I know the video is not young enough to cover that. But it was cool.
Your reaction to the amount people in the game is classic
Now H is head of creative and shawn is management of nxt and Rock is executive of parent company for wwe 👀
Is there a full shawm Micheals collection coming soon, id love to hear your 97' Shawn takes, compared to your 02" Sahwn takes
can you do Shawn Michael vs Vince feud before WM22
Loved DX in 2009/2010
Great way to end the week.
One of my favorites matches is Cody and Dustin trying win there jobs backs with Dusty in their corner.
What does that have to do with DX? That was Cody & Dustin w/Dusty vs THE SHIELD (Reigns & Rollins) w/Ambrose. HHH & HBK weren't even in the match...
adding 50 cent to the theme was a nice touch
7:16 are those the games little gamers?
I saw this too
Shawn Michaels had a good performance in 2018. The match wasn't rated that good because HHH got hurt. It wasn't just an age thing.
THANK YOU 🙏
I can't remember a single thing from SS2009 but that match was surprisingly very very good.
Fond memories of JeriShow and even ShoMiz
hey I love your vids
I wish DX had gone out with a *BANG!* , instead of the whimper with which they ultimately did go out...
Still up to this day
Oh god, this is the point where they completely jumped the shark with the inter-dimensional portal under the ring into 'Little People's Court'.
Yeah...for me that astoundingly stupid skit totally undermined and devalued that DX run in its entirety.
HBK is the GOAT
The submission counts anywhere in the building was decent. There was another one at the 2010 Hell In A Cell, between Daniel Bryan, John Morrison and The Miz, for the United States Championship.
Something i have learnt is if you unlock all the power up for a caw in battleground challenge ypu get battle bucks its like 100 or 1000 a time
We don't talk about Crown Jewel
The chef skit was cheesy, but i still love it....
That intro tho 🔥 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Don’t forget Rick rude with a member of DX
DX's Legacy will always be forever
The intro theme songs are cool .you should do custom theme songs
