Haha, it’s the third belt (kept guying the super cheap ones that didn’t hold up) so it really only got about a 3 weeks of use 🤪

Seeing Nikk standing ... well, tears in my eyes. Having done the wreck and recovery trip myself, KEEP GOING, NIKK !!!
It was great to see Nikk standing & giving an update on how he's coming along & report on the status of his plane as far as he knows .
WB Trent! Honestly though, in life, I think "target fixation" is necessary occasionally in order to accomplish the final push to big goals. We all love the vids, but in the big scheme they are inconsequential compared to your real life with your lovely wife. So it's fine to put aside hobbies and entertainment temporarily, climb that mountain, and then settle back into the old routine. Or even a new one :)

Hi Trent, I’m part of a group of about 7 planes and 14 pilots planning an April coast to coast trip from St Augustine to San Francisco. Giorgio Azzalin will be leading us in his red Waco YMF-5. About 1/2 of the pilots are coming from Italy and the rest are FLORIDA guys. This is the 4th and final trip and we’re going all out. Stops planned for Reno and Las Vegas. In 2017 we went as far west as Wendover Field UT and overnighted in Spanish Forks. Saw Drago while it was under construction and met the Mike and Mark Patey. It was a great stop.

Roger that. Tried to explain this to my dad- who was a fighter pilot. I said..."Dad, on a bike, it means instead of looking at the fix, your "out".....you're fixated on the problem, literally intercepting it. HITTING what you need to be avoiding."
Agree riding and flying, "eye on the prize" is a great way to put it.
Gusty landings, just keep looking towards the end of the runway, and you'll be right.
JamesAllmond I used to be a road racing instructor and saw that way too often. It’s nuts to watch one guy get scared and run off the track, but then a whole line of bikes follows him into a big pile. Happens way to often, even with experienced riders. I’ve had people slam into me several times when I stopped to check on a downed rider. It’s awful the stupidity that seems prevalent today.

Welcome back, I do enjoy your videos. Second, and most important, you will never run out of things "to do" for your home and property. I've been here, at what I jokingly call "the bunker", for 14 years and am only just now about to get my garage built. The Bunker had a garage built in one end of it, but that was turned into a den/library long ago by the original owner. My wife refused to let it become a garage again, so the story goes.
Your place is shaping up nicely, looking forward to the full tour.

I am looking forward to seeing your finished home. The most important part of landscaping that I remember is the grading.

For your kitchen may i recommend an induction cooker. I purchased a NuWave Flex and a Simply Ming (NuWave). I have a beautiful gas range which I not longer use. JCPenney was closing out the induction cookers and sold me the Flex for 7 cents. Vollrath Mirage Pro is the unit to get as it has professional power delivery just like a gas range with far greater efficiency. This is a professional tool made to be used every day, all day with chefs control. If a magnet sticks to your cookware bottom you are induction ready. Cheaper units do not have the power resolution that the Vollrath G4 has making exact power delivery possible. My NuWave tend to apply too much heat until you learn the unit. My Vollrath will arrive Friday so I can give you an accurate report. HSN has the Ming for $69, Hotel Restaurant Supply has the Vollrath for $495. This is a professional tool.

I found Trent and others through Mike Patey's "building Draco" videos. All of you are pretty amazing and inspiring. I can't hang a straight shelf myself, but I have always enjoyed excellence, whether watching bull riding, to other sports, to you all building airplanes, to some highlights of watching Trent and his wife build a house in the middle of the desert. However....it was Nikk's accident and everyone coming together to help him rebuild himself, his life, and a new plane which saw me sobbing. In a time, at least for me, of unprecedented levels of stress, fear and darkness, you all have reminded me of the community, kindness and compassion which humanity is capable of. Thank you for sharing this with me, and the rest of the world.

Duuude - that's fantastic progress on the house! So stoked to see Nikk in a Kitfox again and hear his new plane is almost ready to collect. Can't wait to see what you guys are brewing to vlog his build. And super excited to be following in his footsteps in 2021 with TWO Kitfox builds in Herefordshire in the UK - the first(?) new Kitfoxes in the UK in about 10 years. #BLAMETRENTPALMER - you betcha! ;)

Thanks so much for the comprehensive updates. We missed you guys but enough with the apologies! What you have taken on is insane. It never occurred to me that you had to button up the house before the weather set in. Congrats on all you have accomplished. Anyone who has attempted a project like this will probably agree that you can calculate absolutely every factor for time and cost. When you are done it takes twice as long and costs twice as much. I can’t imagine doing this with an uncertain deadline due to weather that could destroy your budget and set you back several months. It has been a while since your last post but I’ll always be here. Love you guys!

Glad your back, I've watched all the Flying Cowboy Channels I could find and binge watched Nic Holmes Kitfox videos from South Africa as well.
I don't know how many Airplane and Ultralight videos I've watched with just a single view, no music, broken audio and engine droning. You have set the standard for aviation videos as far as I'm concerned.
I've had the same dream of building a rural home for the last 20 years. I'm finally retired at 53 years old and will be renovating my house in order to put it on the Market after the Elections in 2020.
The tools and belt on models have more wear. Cute.

Shadow Opp.'s RC I have done both and in my opinion remodeling is two times harder. First tear out, cleanup and the install. And you know what happens when you tear out. You find the hidden problems. Let’s not talk about the plumbing either on a remod. Ughhhhhhh! Fuck! Sorry for the language but you just brought back the nightmare!!!!!!!😤😤😂😂😆

Got me out and flying I always loved airplanes and flew RC for ever but always wanted to in the air, so I did it, just took me till I was a little older (life happens and was in the Army).
