My parents were like that mom until one day I developed an eating disorder and then they started begging me to eat but the damage to my mental health was done. It took me 12 years to recover from that. Shame on mom for doing this to her in tv. Mona Lisa you are perfect and beautiful inside and out.
My mom was like this as well. I started drastically cutting my calories at age 12 and exercising as much as possible. I was skinny all through high school. Once I turned 18, something just clicked and now, 10 years later, I’m very overweight. I understand your pain. I’m trying to learn nutrition for myself as an adult and change my ways.
Hearing her say that she doesn’t like anything about herself is heartbreaking... I have a daughter and couldn’t imagine allowing my baby girl to have such low self confidence. Her mama would be a wonderful asset to improving the way she sees herself if only her mother would care more about her daughter than she does herself
I'm happy for your daughter. I've seen this a lot from women in communities/environments that encourage competition in women. Those environments are ones that pretty women fall into. Then guys want babies with them. But if those guys want daughters they better get to know the women first because... With moms like that there can be a double edged sword. She hates it when you look better than her. If your skinny, she will brings you down and only be happy when she fills you with food. So you give in and destroy yourself before you even know why your doing it. Then you're bigger and (even though she's constantly belittling you), she's happier with herself because she looks better than you. That mom is probably so self absorbed, she doesn't even notice how much her daughter really loves her.
God forbid a parent is concerned about their childs weight problem. If your daughter was on heroin would you react like a loving mom and not scold her for being an addict? She was getting out of breath from talking and is obese. But to be worried about your child for the wrong reason/beauty reasons is wrong.
Her child not the child. She’s her child. Saying the child means she’s just some random child and of course they wouldn’t even make sense too because she’s an adolescent not a child unless you are referring to her as one of the mothers children.

I’m happy she was able to lose the weight that she did. Children don't get fat in a vacuum. If a 15yo is being raised by her mother and the 15yo is obese, that is mom's fault. There's no excuse to be obese at such a young age other than parental neglect. If you saw a child who was bone thin and couldn't take more than a few steps without stopping to catch her breath, you send CPS to that home. The same must be done for obese children. Lost over 20 pounds in 3 weeks?? Poor girl I hope she wasn’t starving herself. That’s a. Great accomplishment for her self esteem but I wonder if It was more then just working out every day
The more overweight a person is the easier the fat/weight comes off of them
@@c.c7606 that is inaccurate information, idk who told you that but the more overweight it’s actually harder to keep weight off
I was looking for this comment, that’s 7lbs a week of weight loss... definitely way more than is healthy (or sustainable). The usual recommendation is 1-2lbs a week, maybe a little more for her because she was heavier, but 7lbs a week is insane. I wouldn’t be surprised if she starved herself for this party and gained the weight back afterward
@@c.c7606 false actually. For someone to lose over 20 pounds in 3 weeks is so unhealthy like that is not possible unless she was forcing herself to throw up or starving herself.

Which by the way is a disease and on the same level as obesity, anorexia, and bulimia. @@kayladanielle7105
1. Try to avoid eating before sleeping. That's when metabolism kicks in hard. If you eat before bed you weaken it. The more you fast the better.
2. Try to avoid carbs. Focus on protein, and plant based foods, fat, and fiber. And try to eat less in general. Alcohol and fastfood can make you gain weight nonstop, so they're no. 1 to avoid.
3. Build muscle. Muscle speeds up metabolism. Legs are biggest muscle in body, so do squats.
But first thing to do- is to get a scale. Without measuring, you can ever track or see progress.

The problem here is the mother wants the child to lose weight, not for health reasons but because of beauty concerns. The daughter does needs to lose weight and that's the truth. She was getting out of breath from talking and is obese. But to be worried about your child for the wrong reason/beauty reasons is wrong.

You are killing your child to let her become obese. Chubby and overweight is not such a big deal, but obesity is a killer.
