It's upsetting to see. And why did she let her daughters weight get to that point in the first place? Wasn't she worried about her health? She could have made an effort to clean up their diets and be active together. But it seema like she didn't care until it came to the point where she needs to be "shown off to the community". She doesn't even care about her healthy and happiness, it's just about how she looks. So awful.

Mom is a monster forcing her daughter to be a carbon copy of herself - she even gave her the same frigging name! If you love your children, you love them unconditionally and let them develop their own style and personality.

    • @hazelsunderstood6784

      I'm happy for your daughter.
I've seen this a lot from women in communities/environments that encourage competition in women. Those environments are ones that pretty women fall into. Then guys want babies with them. But if those guys want daughters they better get to know the women first because...
With moms like that there can be a double edged sword.
She hates it when you look better than her. If your skinny, she will brings you down and only be happy when she fills you with food.
So you give in and destroy yourself before you even know why your doing it.
Then you're bigger and (even though she's constantly belittling you), she's happier with herself because she looks better than you.
That mom is probably so self absorbed, she doesn't even notice how much her daughter really loves her.

You could see it better when she tried on the dresses. And the trainer is awesome. I bet it feels better to be with someone who isn’t skinny skinny fitness model type.

Children don't get fat in a vacuum. If a 15yo is being raised by her mother and the 15yo is obese, that is mom's fault. There's no excuse to be obese at such a young age other than parental neglect. If you saw a child who was bone thin and couldn't take more than a few steps without stopping to catch her breath, you send CPS to that home. The same must be done for obese children. You are killing your child to let her become obese. Chubby and overweight is not such a big deal, but obesity is a killer.

She isn’t a child dumbo she’s an adolescent not 6. Though food habits start at child age literally since birth overall. By adolescents it’s pretty much too late unless she was having some allowance and was heading to the fast food places a ton of times in a short time span which is unlikely.
