fair tip to you, the rule might not go in your favor if you don't look things up occasionally. terraria is a game that is, at the bare minimum, nearly impossible to beat without knowing things beforehand. it's one of those games you need the wiki for. hats off to you for wanting to go in blind, but that can only get you so far in this game, unfortunately.
I totally expected the meteor to be found high above ground... When he finally found it, I nearly woke my neighbors, screaming "What are the odds of that?".
@@L0rdBelial I have 3000 hours in this game and this has only ever happened to me ONCE. xD Oddly though I've had the meteorite land on sky islands twice. When it hits a sky lake, it's physically painful because you're getting a LAUGHABLY small amount out of it. The other sky island incident was because I removed the chest from a sky house, which allowed the meteor to land there. Which I didn't find out until WAY after I wanted it.
@@projectafterworld2557 I have 1000 hours, it happened at least 4 times in a corruption hole and once in a 2 blocks wide hole I was digging to get a specific loot. 3 times on a sky island and the rest of the time at random spots like on top of a tall tree. But I've almost never had a meteorite spawning in a normal location lmao (Except the meteorite for astral infection, it always spawned in a relatively flat are but that's modded terraria so it doesn't really count)
Same... I've been recently playing my first time on Master after not having played Terraria for several years and was trying to get an Obsidian Rose. Even build a farm with an imp statue I found. (I know, reduced drop rates and such, but I figured it would go faster than fighting the occasional imp down in hell.) I was closing in on 1500 statue imps summoned before the first dropped. Afterwards they appeared to drop like candy... I've sold so many of them. And in the same playthrough, some time later, the first or second Chaos Elemental I defeated dropped its most cherished loot = RoD. My jaw almost hit the table when it dropped. So yeah, it's quite funny at times how one's luck seems to oscillate. :D
I always have trouble with this item, but in my getfixedboi map... It was my first accessory drop (Accidentally summoned Wall of Flesh and had to fight really tanky Imp with a Wood sword 💀💀💀)
Okay. The Goblin Tinkerer randomly falling from the ceiling of the DUNGEON has to be the weirdest progression and LUCK a completely new player could ever get.
"just use the tools you have in game" EXACTLY THANK YOU, I talked to the guide a lot when I was a new player and even nowadays I ask him about recipes a lot. Most people just don't like reading I guess idk
@@feryth to be fair thats a bit newer, anyone playing before 1.4 had to look up drop rates on the wiki. the guide before 1.2 or 1.3 wasn't very good either so a lot of older terraria players will just say use the wiki
eh idk a wiki is alot more informative and specific than a guide to me especially in my first calamity run. the ingame beastiary feels weird for me to use because it’s obviously a bit newer
People aren't used to the guide being useful. I use the Wiki to see what gear and accessories I should strive to get next. It's really hard to know how to get a specific item when it only drops from a specific enemy.
Once you get your classic mode run done, you should try doing expert mode. It changes the game quite a bit. Bosses get better AI-s and buffs, but they drop new expert mode exclusive items. For me it feels like a more definitive way to play the game.
If you are new in terraria i think this mode is also nice now that i see, i just throw my brother and myself on expert mode and he just suffer a lot with the ai of the bosses and the damage 😂 plus he was going with summon class
I tried it long ago, I didn't like that it felt like I had to rush progression (like, I had to go to hell to get hellstone as soon as I got the pick, when I used to do so after the dungeon at the very least)
@@ceresgc I mean everything depends on case by case, but I would still say expert mode should be the default for most first time play-throughs. Of coarse there are many people who just aren’t at the skill level to start at expert mode, and fair enough to them, I have some friends who are like this.
Honestly it's really refreshing seeing someone play current terraria for the first time and be so excited. Most people who have channels dedicated for Terraria have been playing for so long that nothing is new to them, they usually play insane mods or do absurd challenge. Last time I was this intrigued was almost probably around 10 years ago when Tobuscus played Terraria but Terraria was so barebones back then. This is probably one of the ONLY first time playthroughs that is completely unspoiled but also recent enough that Terraria has so much content to be excited about.
Honestly the biggest reason why "New players use the wiki" is because new players are always told you can't play the game without the wiki. Basically the Guide got a big rework and update in version 1.2 and since most players have been playing for long before that that already know most of the game, and use the wiki for what they don't know. They never need to use the guide so they don't, and assume he's useless without checking.
Yeah, I started in 1.2 when the guide was very cryptic and not very useful so I always saw him as useless but looking at his prompts now, he's really good for new players. Also being able to see what a material can be used for is basically what we used the wiki for back in the day so he covers most of what you need to know
I had someone tell me that the game was impossible to play without the wiki. He said that he had played the game for about a year, and that the game was very wiki heavy. Like, did he never even attempt to use the guide?
Honestly, i thought he was absolutely useless but then i started to see the value of the guide. I just never leave him at spawn because he doesnt sell anything.
I thought the same way. I believe he was just a guide for beginners but one day I checked the crafting options (thinking it was just a work bench) but you get "recipes" for any item. Mind you I was 50 hours in lmao.
one time in a world, a meteorite was summoned, my friends and I couldn't find it for the longest time, and turns out the meteorite was at the beach in a 2 block wide tunnel 600 blocks down. A 2 BLOCK WIDE TUNNEL 😭😭
6:00 feels like a mild player onboarding issue; liquid flows don't give a lot of indication that they're purely decorative and won't cause damage, and especially with lava the way they disguise the actual liquid source can cause problems.
its honestly super cool watching someone play terraria for the first time, reminds me alot of myself 7 years ago on my kindle fire playing terraria for the first time.
I didn’t realize it until now, but finding the Golfer attempting to golf in the underground Desert is tremendously funny. As if he got stuck in a sand trap, and dug his way down there with thousands of repeated failed swings of his clubs.
Fun fact: Its not a good idea to read comments saying fun fact in videos of games you havent finished yet. This could have spoiled the entire game Replys have spoilers Another warning, Replys do INDEED 100% HAVE SPOILERS
1:14 you didn't miss out on much. the fairies just run away as fast as they can, so they don't go anywhere. What you're supposed to do is catch them with a bug net and release them into the caves and they will find good loot for you
Hope you keep making these videos, as a former "Terraria must be just like Minecraft but in 2D" myself, I love convincing others to play it and seeing their reactions
I love the confidence it will take you far in this game hope no one spoils, and listen dont feel too bad about cheesing the bosses you are on the first playthrough and not technically cheesing them you just got the proper tools
A few advises(don(t worry, no spoil) : I saw you struggle to fight bosses near your spawn, remember that the Nurse can heal you. You can use this to face tank bosses. You could have killed the King Slime by spamming it. You can climb up with platforms or ropes, don't forget that you can easily craft 2 wood platforms with one wood. You do not need to hold the radar (or any similar items) in your accessory slots to have its effect. About your comment about not needing an arena, bosses will become harder and harder, you are supposed to do some preparation, even cheese them. Don't forget that you can show items to Zack to see what you can craft with them. The Magic Conch teleports you to the opposite side of the map, so use it twice to get to the other side. When you build a house, you don't need to build it in the biome they want, they will just increase their price. 48:35 the shark statues, get it :) And if you think your luck was bad for the meteor, I couldn't get one that fast and I managed to get a blood moon only after 30H irl. Do fishing quests, you can have only one quest per day, so you can't just farm them, so each day, do a quest, it's well worth it and you can get very important items with it. Also, how did you manage to get a Zapinator, this is so rare. Obsidian rose on first Imp, what ???? And cascade too -_-. And this luck while fishing -_-.
I'm gonna add a little bit (still without spoilers) -if you ever want to play on harder difficulty, face tanking a boss is a really bad idea, even with the nurse. -about the arenas, it's not really needed for his actual difficulty, but he will struggle later on (but on normal difficulty it's still possible to finish the game even if the final boss would be really tricky) -about the meteor, it ALWAYS spawn in the weirdest places, i once got one that spawned in a 2 wide hole i made, it's always on a sky island or in a hole lmao -if in a description of an item it's written "material" it means it's a part of a craft, always check what it can do (little hint for something cool: check what the hell stone sword is used for) -if you hear a siren sing and a silhouette named "????" do not hit it ! (this part is a joke, it's from a mod) -accessories can be reforged too, the best reforge is warding for defense (i don't remember for damages but it's +4% if i remember correctly, i almost never used it) -you can hide the look of an accessory by pressing the little white and black dot on the top right of the slot (it's supposed to be an eye)
@@alathreon8315 tbh, it just depends on how you like to play I have 1000 hours on terraria, always used defense reforge on my accessories and it saved me multiple times Both are good anyway
The Anahita reference was hilarious, I remember killing it in pre-hardmode just to be destroyed by a post-plantera boss and proceed to sink over 5 hours into killing it thinking it was the boss before wall of flesh. I eventually killed it but it was harder than anything else I did that run (geltic blade made it a lot easier).
@@alathreon8315Defense is actually better. The more you have the more broken the stat is. Even by keeping your build the same but switching your reforges to warding you can tank an extra hit or two in the highest dificulties. And even more so going for a dedicated tank build.
This playthough really makes me appreciate all the stuff that's been added to the game since I started playing in 1.1. The early game used to be much more linear with a clear(er) order of when you are supposed to progress, but now relatively powerful items can be found pretty much anywhere in the early game. Early bosses like Skeletron have also gotten super powercrept with new mobility and weapon options.
I hope you will complete the game 100% there’s so much more awaiting you: bosses, ores, furniture, crafting stations, NPCs, accessories, weapons and more
Good to see another video from you about terraria! Your absolute wonder and curiosity got me hooked from the first episode and you're super entertaining to watch! Can't wait for you to finish this amazing game!
Terraria's become such a popular game that I feel like I almost never get to watch someone experience it for the first time. These videos of your streams are so much fun, and I love the editing! Do keep it up, I'm glad your channel's been blowing up!
Tip: The guide can drop some pretty good stuff if you drop him(or his voodo doll) in lava in hell that will increase regen, hp, speed, and defense, and they cant burn
Damn man I thought you quit cause of the spoilers, thank God you keep the terraria series going, hope you reach until the end of terraria cause we will keep watch your video's, they are fun to watch.
I’m very glad you’re continuing this on UA-cam! It’s been over 5 years since I watched any Terraria content but your last video rekindled my interest. Subscribed here and on your Twitch channel:)
The eye of cthulhu and some other bosses and events can naturally spawn when certain conditions are met. For the eye the conditions are that one player must have at least 200 max HP and the eye hasn’t been defeated yet. Using the bait item, in this case suspicious looking eye, summons it every time.
I understand ignoring the arena comments because you want to play your own way, but trust me: pretty much any boss after the Eye will REQUIRE an arena. Terraria gets difficult!
I'm not sure exactly how I found your channel, but the editing and commentary is really nice. Actually led me back to playing more terraria myself. Definitely enjoying your content and hoping for more of it. Good vibes :D
Heres some non spoilers tips You can sell your items to any merchant To that "Lost Girl on your radar was actually that Nymph in disguise You dont axtually get anything from going into the dungeon before fighting skeletron, just an unbeatable boss that one shots you immediately 😂
- Craft the Teapot from Clay and Bones (dropped from Dungeon enemies). It's the crafting station for Teacups, which are crafted from 1 bottled water at a Teapot. When consumed, a Teacup grants 5 minutes of the Well Fed buff, which grants +2 defense, +2% critical hit chance, +5% melee speed, +5% damage, +0.5 minion knockback, +20% movement speed, and +5% mining speed. Given how each Bottled Water is to obtain, this is essentially free buffs. - The Dark Lance has lower range but more overall damage output than the Sunfury. It also has the ability to inflict the Shadowflame debuff onto enemies, which deals 15 damage per second. - Craft the Molten Pickaxe and Molten Hamaxe from the Hellstone Bars. - Spare Life Crystals can be crafted into Heart Lanterns, which increase your life regeneration when placed nearby similarly to Campfires. - Recall Potions actually work faster than the Ice Mirror, so I suggest you keep both of them in your inventory. - Craft the Void Bag from jungle spores, shadow scales, and bones at a Demon Altar. It's essentially a portable Ender Chest that automatically picks up items when your inventory is full. - Purchase the Safe from the Merchant. It's like a chest that can be picked up and placed down even when it contains items, and each Safe will contain the same items no matter where they're placed in the world. - You should expand your NPC housing. - Purchase Ale from that Tavernkeep dude. It reduces defense by 4, but grants +2% critical strike chance on melee attacks, +10% melee attack speed, +10% melee damage, and +5 Fishing Power. - Hooking up some statues to Wiring purchased from the Mechanic and activate them with Levers or Timers and something may happen.
@@Symbyll Yea, sadly terraria is one of those games where its almost impossible to NOT get spoilers, heck when i first played my friend spoiled it for me
Oh great, another first-time experience player video, love to see these! Btw Im half a video now, but there are some spoirless facts: You can build houses for almost all the npc's literally at your home on the surface, it will just affect their prices. No need to build a home in the underground. Your dungeon cannot be sealed-off, its just covered in a breakable blocks, you just need to find them. The easy way is to use the smart cursor mechanic.
I'll be honest it's so refreshing seeing a fully blind playthru because I kinda got my first playthru spoiled by friends, I still had plenty of fun dont get me wrong but with how far terraria has come its really nice seeing it from fresh eyes :)
I just wanted to say that I absolutely love the chapter transition edits you do! They're so cool and they make so much sense every time. Much love from a terraria veteran and editing enthusiast :)
Honestly love these kinds of videos, its fun to be reminded how it started out. From a silly group of friends bumbling around a world a bit, to me now beating calamity (a mod for terraria) without immunity frames on its hardest difficulty. I cant wait to see more of these videos, and who knows maybe afterwards you could play with some mods, they seem a lot more complex than they really are. (that's the positive and negative of terraria modding compared to minecraft modding, in minecraft its a true sandbox so people go buck wild, where as terraria sticks more to its already existing progression.)
8:04 Terraria is full of references to older video games. The Bloody Tear is a Castlevania 2: Simon's Quest reference. It's an old NES game from like 1988. The name of the main overworld theme during the day was 'Bloody Tears' and when night would fall in the game there would always be a text box that would pop up that said 'What a horrible night to have a curse', which is the flavor text on this item.
Got stuck on a super late-game boss, and had to look some things up. Of course, after that, UA-cam starts showing me everything Terraria, which lead me to your playthrough. Welcome to Terraria! This game is addicting as heck and just keeps getting better.
44:26 Apparently there are movie references in this game as well. The Gladius is a Gladiator reference. Gladiator, if you have not seen it, is an awesome 2000 movie starring Russell Crowe, who played a Roman general turned gladiator, Maximus Decimus Meridius. The gladius is a roman short sword used a lot in the film, not surprisingly. At one point, after simply mercing a bunch of opponents the first time he gets in the arena (due to his as of that point unknown background), Maximus shouts to the crowd "Are you not entertained?!" and "Is this not why you have come?!", hence the flavor text on that gladius you found.
I’m glad to see a small creator not using their stream to just glide through every game. I hope you continue to enjoy games as you play them and find things out on your own. This game is amazing and one of my favorite to play. I’ve been playing it for a long time and can’t remember my first play through. Awesome to watch someone play it for the first time. Keep it up 👍🏻
Yay! Also (hope you don’t consider this backseat gaming) as I go through the vid ima add some helpful tips. Also I know you got told how to use it, but your not using in enough. There are very, very few scenarios where smart cursor isn’t just better, it auto places walls but won’t place through a block(making building housing really easy) and always use it when mining. Anyhow, Lemme start out with one right away Tip 1: if your weapon is craftable, (and not super expensive) try and craft it multiple times until you get a good reforge. Light is best on pickaxes cause they mine faster, legendary on most melee weapons cause of everything, mythical on magic, unreal on ranger, and mythical on summoner(but legendary on the whips) if something can’t get this, godly is also always good.(and in some cases, this is the best reforge a weapon can have) Tip 2: you might have down this at some point in the video, but look underground for Hermes boots. They make you go faster. There are different variations in some biomes. 6:01 oh also you getting scared by visual lava is god tier that every player can relate to Also, try and use all of the armor from the same set. Sometimes it’s just extra defense, but sometimes it’s… well…. I’m not going to spoil… but pretty powerful Tip 4: Also, always have your money in your money trough/piggy bank. As you know, you can’t drop money in it, but yoo oh u can buy stuff with money that is still inside it, no need to take the money out. You can also store other stuff if ur inventory’s full when exploring
I watched your other video yesterday and was so entertained but so disappointed to see you hadn’t uploaded more but I’m very happy to see you’re still on it. I hope you continue
I was going like: Let's play some games for what is left of this evening, just quickly check YT before. - Oh? A continuation of that really entertaining first Terraria video? Guess I'm not playing tonight. And it was worth it! Thanks for your content!
nice vid. honestly if that one guy only has gotten 4 gold crates he doesnt fish ive gotten atleast 800 .but fr though you have the second best fishing pole the only one thats better is a pole you get from either 30 or 50 fishing quest from the angler. if you like fishing, then doing the quests are recommend. you can get stuff to upgrade youre fishing. also fish during rain it doubles your fishing power. also make a cooking pot to cook the fish to get food. food gives a temporary buff to like damage, regen, mining speed, and defence. honestly your playing on a easier mode so you dont need it butbit might be useful if your struggling. but if you ever get stuck, an iron skin potion goes a long way. it gives 8 defense. crafting is 1 iron or lead ore, 1 bottle of water, and 1 daybloom) dayblooms are found on the surface at day just break flowers also you can plant them in pots to farm them, and to get a water bottle, turn sand into glass, then into bottles, then stand in water and craft water bottles. also you need to place a bottle on a work bench to craft potions. also make a molten pickaxe youll need it for later. i wont spoil it but just know its a REQUIREMENT well technically its not because fishing exists but youll eventually get my point. as an explaination for the dungeon you need to kill skeletron to enter the dingeon. if you go to the under ground layer in the dungeon you will get jump scared by something that one shots even endgame characters but if you kill it it will drop a pet if you want the pet you can make a new world and enter it with your character and fight him that way ntw i found itnso funny they were trying to naitnyou in (Iwould have aswell) i cant help myself but to be helpful, i am confident to say i know atleast 95% about every thing in the base game, i cant know everything about modded terraria which you should play after you play a harder difficulty if you maintain interest in the game for that long. btw i enjoyed this i never got this because i started when the game didnt have all the features it has now so its entertaining to see someone struggle i dont think i spoiled stuff because its all just stuff you missed along the way. optoional: make houses in each biome to get a pylon network to make travlingvreally easy
I love this game so much. I even got into building in it. I'm leaving this at the start of my watch after finishing part one, so I know you've probably gotten through at least a decent chunk of the game, but there's so much to enjoy. I'm so excited for your first experience to be shared with us. Thank you sir. Edit after the show: oh he has seen nothing yet
I love the part where you freak out about the stream of lava that actually is just a visual effect in the game that doesn't hurt you. I've totally done the same thing, going out of my way to avoid it XD
The Barkeep guy you found is part of a crossover with Dungeon Defenders II. I've never played that game before, but it's its own thing. A whole aside, and you'd need to dedicate part of your world to it. I'd recommend giving it a shot, you can get some neat things from it, but a lot of players never mess with it. Also, kudos to you beating Skeletron before attempting to enter the dungeon (that can turn out badly). There's a few items and things in the game which are part of crossovers, but none as in-depth as the Dungeon Defenders thing. There's a couple cosmetic pets, for example, from other properties. We're actually waiting for another "final" update to add Dead Cells items. :) Underground housing is nice, but hard to do right. It's more than placing a couple blocks for the box; a lot of background tiles are considered "tainted" and can spawn enemies, so they are not "safe" for "valid housing". You can replace them with valid tiles though. I can tell you why you didn't burn up to that lava you were sure you were touching. A long time ago, they added "half blocks" to the game (something that you can make using your hammer on practically any tile). If there's any liquid on the other side of the half tile, it will create a water-fall effect that is strictly cosmetic. This works with Water, Lava and Honey. I've been playing the game on and off since its release, so it's interesting to me to see how much the game has changed, and how people progress the game itself. You're definitely doing things I don't usually see people do. I have some set routes/routines for myself when playing - like checking for Sky Islands as soon as I have my first gravity potion. I'm also the one prepping a lot of items and making sure there's proper housing when playing with friends XD. The Jungle is dangerous early on, but the place I like to hang out the most as well. The Snow & Ice Biomes didn't exits when I first started, so I often forget to explore them thoroughly like I do my jungles. Also fun fact: Traps didn't exist when I first started playing and Skeletron was the "final" boss.
Since you've now discovered fishing, here's some advice (No spoilers of course) 1. Build little huts in your fishing areas to protect you from outside mobs 2. You can get decent items from the Angler if you do his quests, though I don't know if you would need them 3. Use potions whenever it suits you. Mostly for fights, but there is potions to help you fish too 4. Most importantly, build multiple fishing areas. since biome crates can give you chest items, Its a good way to farm a chest item without looking all over the world for a chest. 5. Make sure to fish later on in the game. people will tell you when, but crate loot will upgrade. So its a safe strategy to fish for new crates when that time comes
43:40 If you look VERY closely at the floor right before you explode here, you can see a raised pressure plate right on the block you touch before you go BOOM!. There are traps that are activated by these pressure plates all over. Poison darts, falling boulders, explosions, etc. So, if you've been damaged or killed by any of them, that is why.

I love Terraria dud.
Same... I've been recently playing my first time on Master after not having played Terraria for several years and was trying to get an Obsidian Rose. Even build a farm with an imp statue I found.
Jump straight to Infernum 🔥

Speaking of Tobuscus, he just recently started a brand new Terraria playthrough on his TobyGames channel.
49:07 Terraria devs got you.
Can't wait for him to run into the other 2
Honestly the biggest reason why "New players use the wiki" is because new players are always told you can't play the game without the wiki.
@@austinrhymer757 it depends when he played it. In older updates, the guide was kinda useless so the wiki was almost necessary

6:00 feels like a mild player onboarding issue; liquid flows don't give a lot of indication that they're purely decorative and won't cause damage, and especially with lava the way they disguise the actual liquid source can cause problems.

I didn’t realize it until now, but finding the Golfer attempting to golf in the underground Desert is tremendously funny. As if he got stuck in a sand trap, and dug his way down there with thousands of repeated failed swings of his clubs.

Call the shark pup Dogfish. Hes a fish and he is a pup
6:04 i love watching him struggle to not touch the lava stream that is actively not hurting him in any way shape or form
Really loving these videos! Glad I found this channel, it's always great to see a Minecraft player changing their tune about this game. (:
At 6:10 if you did not know, that is basically "cosmetic" lava, and as such doesn't hurt you.
The same thing applies to other liquids like water.
I love the confidence it will take you far in this game hope no one spoils, and listen dont feel too bad about cheesing the bosses you are on the first playthrough and not technically cheesing them you just got the proper tools
A few advises(don(t worry, no spoil) :
I saw you struggle to fight bosses near your spawn, remember that the Nurse can heal you.
48:35 the shark statues, get it :)
And if you think your luck was bad for the meteor, I couldn't get one that fast and I managed to get a blood moon only after 30H irl.
I'm gonna add a little bit (still without spoilers)
-if you ever want to play on harder difficulty, face tanking a boss is a really bad idea, even with the nurse.
-about the arenas, it's not really needed for his actual difficulty, but he will struggle later on (but on normal difficulty it's still possible to finish the game even if the final boss would be really tricky)
-about the meteor, it ALWAYS spawn in the weirdest places, i once got one that spawned in a 2 wide hole i made, it's always on a sky island or in a hole lmao
-if in a description of an item it's written "material" it means it's a part of a craft, always check what it can do (little hint for something cool: check what the hell stone sword is used for)
-if you hear a siren sing and a silhouette named "????" do not hit it ! (this part is a joke, it's from a mod)
-accessories can be reforged too, the best reforge is warding for defense (i don't remember for damages but it's +4% if i remember correctly, i almost never used it)
-you can hide the look of an accessory by pressing the little white and black dot on the top right of the slot (it's supposed to be an eye)
@@iridiafox5761 i wouldn't advise to regarde for defense, especially in normal, damages is way better.
@@alathreon8315 tbh, it just depends on how you like to play
I have 1000 hours on terraria, always used defense reforge on my accessories and it saved me multiple times
Both are good anyway
Ah, yes, the eclipse. A perfectly harmless event.
This guy is pretty cool.
Wow, I enjoyed all 52 minutes of this! Love the editing and the pace of the video, great job! Looking forward to the next episode!

Love the way you inverted the chapter title along with the grav pot!
The eye of cthulhu and some other bosses and events can naturally spawn when certain conditions are met. For the eye the conditions are that one player must have at least 200 max HP and the eye hasn’t been defeated yet. Using the bait item, in this case suspicious looking eye, summons it every time.
I’ve been waiting for this, watching someone new play terraria is one of the best things
I understand ignoring the arena comments because you want to play your own way, but trust me: pretty much any boss after the Eye will REQUIRE an arena. Terraria gets difficult!

Heres some non spoilers tips
You can sell your items to any merchant
To that "Lost Girl on your radar was actually that Nymph in disguise
You dont axtually get anything from going into the dungeon before fighting skeletron, just an unbeatable boss that one shots you immediately 😂

Oh great, another first-time experience player video, love to see these!
Btw Im half a video now, but there are some spoirless facts:
You can build houses for almost all the npc's literally at your home on the surface, it will just affect their prices.

As someone who uses the guide to see crafting recipes all the time, I’m glad you’re finally using him.
I just wanted to say that I absolutely love the chapter transition edits you do! They're so cool and they make so much sense every time. Much love from a terraria veteran and editing enthusiast :)
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoy the edits
8:36 Gorgeous 😂 I love messing with the vanity in this game
Got stuck on a super late-game boss, and had to look some things up. Of course, after that, UA-cam starts showing me everything Terraria, which lead me to your playthrough. Welcome to Terraria! This game is addicting as heck and just keeps getting better.
You've had a crazy run so far. Multiple free boss spawns, free tentacle spike, free bat bat, and free shadow scale mail in very early game is crazy
At one point, after simply mercing a bunch of opponents the first time he gets in the arena (due to his as of that point unknown background), Maximus shouts to the crowd "Are you not entertained?!" and "Is this not why you have come?!", hence the flavor text on that gladius you found.
dude this reminds me so much of my first ever playthrough of terraria; i honestly wish i could experience it all over again without knowing anything.

This is tuening into a very enjoyable series, glad to see someone get this far into the game without quitting yet
man watching you find out about lighting boots and being so hyped about them is peak new terraria player, this game is so good.
Anyhow, Lemme start out with one right away
Tip 1: if your weapon is craftable, (and not super expensive) try and craft it multiple times until you get a good reforge. Light is best on pickaxes cause they mine faster, legendary on most melee weapons cause of everything, mythical on magic, unreal on ranger, and mythical on summoner(but legendary on the whips) if something can’t get this, godly is also always good.(and in some cases, this is the best reforge a weapon can have)
Tip 2: you might have down this at some point in the video, but look underground for Hermes boots. They make you go faster. There are different variations in some biomes.
6:01 oh also you getting scared by visual lava is god tier that every player can relate to
Also, try and use all of the armor from the same set. Sometimes it’s just extra defense, but sometimes it’s… well…. I’m not going to spoil… but pretty powerful
Tip 4: Also, always have your money in your money trough/piggy bank. As you know, you can’t drop money in it, but yoo oh u can buy stuff with money that is still inside it, no need to take the money out. You can also store other stuff if ur inventory’s full when exploring
Oh my god seeing the Goblin fall into your lap and you just ignoring it hurt my soul... It hurt it so bad lol.
I can't wait to see your unspoiled journey with terraria, imagine if you do the modded playthrough once you completed vanilla, Subbed!

nice vid. honestly if that one guy only has gotten 4 gold crates he doesnt fish ive gotten atleast 800 .but fr though you have the second best fishing pole the only one thats better is a pole you get from either 30 or 50 fishing quest from the angler. if you like fishing, then doing the quests are recommend. you can get stuff to upgrade youre fishing. also fish during rain it doubles your fishing power. also make a cooking pot to cook the fish to get food. food gives a temporary buff to like damage, regen, mining speed, and defence. honestly your playing on a easier mode so you dont need it butbit might be useful if your struggling. but if you ever get stuck, an iron skin potion goes a long way. it gives 8 defense. crafting is 1 iron or lead ore, 1 bottle of water, and 1 daybloom) dayblooms are found on the surface at day just break flowers also you can plant them in pots to farm them, and to get a water bottle, turn sand into glass, then into bottles, then stand in water and craft water bottles. also you need to place a bottle on a work bench to craft potions.
also make a molten pickaxe youll need it for later. i wont spoil it but just know its a REQUIREMENT well technically its not because fishing exists but youll eventually get my point.
as an explaination for the dungeon you need to kill skeletron to enter the dingeon. if you go to the under ground layer in the dungeon you will get jump scared by something that one shots even endgame characters but if you kill it it will drop a pet
if you want the pet you can make a new world and enter it with your character and fight him that way
ntw i found itnso funny they were trying to naitnyou in (Iwould have aswell)
i cant help myself but to be helpful, i am confident to say i know atleast 95% about every thing in the base game, i cant know everything about modded terraria which you should play after you play a harder difficulty if you maintain interest in the game for that long.
btw i enjoyed this i never got this because i started when the game didnt have all the features it has now so its entertaining to see someone struggle
i dont think i spoiled stuff because its all just stuff you missed along the way.

Been waiting for this episode! You're doing great work mate, keep it up
I love the part where you freak out about the stream of lava that actually is just a visual effect in the game that doesn't hurt you.
Underground housing is nice, but hard to do right.
Since you've now discovered fishing, here's some advice (No spoilers of course)
1. Build little huts in your fishing areas to protect you from outside mobs
2. You can get decent items from the Angler if you do his quests, though I don't know if you would need them
3. Use potions whenever it suits you. Mostly for fights, but there is potions to help you fish too
Skeletron looks absolutely cursed on this thumbnail
43:40 If you look VERY closely at the floor right before you explode here, you can see a raised pressure plate right on the block you touch before you go BOOM!. There are traps that are activated by these pressure plates all over. Poison darts, falling boulders, explosions, etc. So, if you've been damaged or killed by any of them, that is why.
