I've been using a Satin Tower for my draft kit. Contains 10x each basic sleeved; 30 more sleeves for draft deck; dice; LGS life pad (same/smaller size as card so fits); couple relevant tokens; 2 dividers.
these types of videos are my favorite content from you. Im a fan of accessorizing with stuff on the market, but finding unofficial/diy accessories for mtg has been something i've enjoyed and its great to see someone who is like minded. A "rate my setup" video series would be sick! i would totally partake
I just started doing in late 2019 and early 2020 because I got tired of forgetting to return the cards to the store at the end of the draft. (I'm so bad at that...)
Super clever concept for a video! I really enjoyed this! I'm a Superhive guy, but I am always looking for ways to slim down the footprint. I think my favorite setup you displayed in this video is the twin flip n tray! Very smart to have the land station and sleeves on the bottom and deck on top! That's the dream right there!
Thank you so much! Since I posted this video I found the Dungeon 550+ from Gamegenic and that actually gets you pretty close. If you put the deck boxes on their sides you can fit a playmat on top and still be able to close the lid. You lose a little room inside doing it this way, but it holds just about the same as the Smarthive does, plus a playmat. Really glad you like the video!
Great video ^^ I personnaly use a boundle box for my draft kit. I can easily put 15-20 of each lands, a bunch of sleeves for the draft deck, plus a cheap deck box or sleeve cardboard box for the dices, if I don't want to being them separately. It takes a small place on the table, and since some of those bundle are gorgeous, it also add a nice visual touch to the battle ground ^^
That Twin Flip n' Tray option is brilliant. I've been using a fat pack box containing my cube's land station and spare sleeves for that cube. It works really well, but when combined with a notepad and a dicebag... it can get unwieldy. Thanks for the suggestion!
The Stanley 10 Compartment Organizer is perfect for draft kit AND the rest of your MTG EDC. You can dedicate one compartment to your draft kit and hold your playmat, all in the one container.
If I know the format pretty well/have drafted a number of times I like to bring along the tokens for that set. Infinitokens or blank flip card inserts work too.
Great video Nate! As someone new to MTG (I just have 2 precon decks) these have been very helpful for setting up a great game night experience. Excited to see what you come out with next!
Great video, I’m using a backpack for all my draft stuff but putting everything for a draft into 1 box is really smart! Just a thing to consider: if you’re able to play mono you would need at least 16 lands of that color :D
I'm glad you liked it! I had considered doing 16 for each, but then I realized mono colored decks in drafts aren't super common (except in the limited formats where it is encouraged like Eldraine, which again isn't very common when that happens). If you do decide to go mono, the LGS land station can get you to the number you need. But that is a good point. Thank you for mentioning it!
You could also use the Quiver Time Black blot carrying case. They comes with and without the extra deck boxes inside. I personally like something that small and compact that I can pick up and go that’s includes everything. Unfortunately theirs no elastic strap/belt to carry your playmat.
Yup! It holds a lot. I don't think it will work for a prerelease though, because the sideboard will be a bit bigger. (You could cut down on the lands a bit, maybe down to 10 or even 8 per type and they might fit then.) But I've used it for drafts a few times and it worked for me well.
They are from the official Magic or WPN UA-cam channels. Content creators are allowed to use content created by Wizards under the Fan Content Policy. Basically as long as I don't pass it off as my own, and I don't stick it behind paywall, it's safe to use. I am planning on recording some of my own LGS video soon so I don't have to rely on Wizards as much.

Thank you so much! And that is a great idea! I'll definitely add it to my list and I'll let you know when I plan do it!
I never thought to sleeve basics before hand, that saves a few minutes that I normally spend panicking

Thank you so much! That is a fantastic idea using the bundle box!
Having your own lands is a big bonus when playing draft.
Seriously it is! Another commenter pointed out it's especially helpful for newer drafters so you can spend more time deck building.

That's a great idea!
This is a super nifty idea! Might have to start going back to draft just to try this out.
Streets of New Capenna looks like it's going to be a nutty draft, so it's perfect timing!

That's a really good idea! I've started putting some Infinitokens in my draft kits now because they are so useful.

i wouldnt consider the dungeon for frequent trips over the time, but the superhive is an excellent choice.

GameGenic's Watchtower and Stronghold would also be good draft kits.

Great analysis as always! Love it, keep it coming!
Thank you!
As a beginner who needs time… it is important to have lands already sleeved so I can get more time to build my deck…
This is an excellent point I did not even consider! Thank you for mentioning it!
So the satin tower will also hold your land station with 12 of each land and then still enough room for deck and side board

Another great quality video!

Woot
I only have one question. Where do you keep the snacks?
If one is willing to sacrifice some dice and counter space, one can always find room for snacks.😆
Are these people in the videos from stock footage or people you know at your LGS?

@@beyondthedeckbox oh okay, that's pretty neat.
Noticed that you put "A" FDS when it should be "AN" FDS. Just thought it'd be helpful
Well there goes my afternoon editing video titles...
Seriously though, thanks for the heads up!
@@beyondthedeckbox happy to help. Love the videos!
AND WHERE IS THE PLACE FOR THE SNACKBOX???
If you're willing to sacrifice some card space or go with a very flat snack, most of these options can accommodate snacks. It just take imagination!
