Good evening. I am working on a Esq1 and I have the same issue. The only deference is that i have no sound like you but few times a sound that maybe was the last one that was played when was on working condition. Please any information will be very helpful. Thanks in advance.
Hello! Unfortunately I don't have experience with that difference but you should perhaps email Buchty (check description) about your problem and they might be able to help further. They were super helpful and seem to be the guru for ESQ stuff on this level. With my limited understanding and experience I would think you have the same overall problem but just an extra symptom. They were really helpful when I simply inquired, fantastic service! Might be a drop-in solution for you if you need it. Cheers!
@@Alaniasty Sorry for the late reply on this! Yes, it made sound, probably whatever the initial patch was. But I couldn't change any parameters or change patches or anything, etc.
Not sure, I just followed the instructions and that's where it ended up going. I could have installed the pin header on the opposite side and tried to install it on the front, but I don't there's even room up there between the main board and the front of the chassis. Buchty would have a better answer if you want to shoot him an email. Also check out the install instructions, buchty.net/ensoniq/files/parts/bmd65003-pcb.pdf

Did you have sound despite the screen fault??
Because I don't have a sound, so there're probably two faults in my Ensoniq despite the screen..

Hi, why do you install it on the backside? This wouldn't make sense if i want to use an alternative HD44780 display, right?
