I gotta say .. this is great. Great Band ... but ... it's kinda of a weird feeling when you're used to John Patitucci, Dave Weckl's feel it's just gone & everything feels soooo different.

Yeah Weckl is incredibly smooth, fluid and all finesse. I find Novak more aggressive, sharp and powerful similar to Tony Williams! Both world class drummers in there own right. Just different flavours in the chick corea band

Miller and Novak are more soulful than Gambale and Weckl. In the bass department I think Patitucci's tighness is nicer, dunno why. What comes to sax, it would have been interesting to hear what a more characterful player could have added. Marienthal is OK, but slightly too smooth-jazz-ish, clean laboratory style. I'd prefer a bit wilder and crazier stuff.
