Been smallmouth fishing 4 50yrs. U did nothing wrong. U gotta keep pressure on them. I would like 2 tell u that I saw something. But I didn't see a thing. Bad luck fishing. Drove a long way 2 run into a streak of bad luck. After a good first day. Keep grinding.

Love those little Keitech jigs. Like you said though it does have a small hook and you have to be careful with them. I use my 7' medium hvy casting rod with 12 lbs fluorocarbon and fixed my lost fish problem. It's my all around rod I use for my shallow cranks, jerkbaits, and spinnerbaits.

I am thinking that next year maybe better. Think about it. Finish 8 next year you make the Elites! Mathmatically it works out better. Smaller field fishing all 9 tournaments, even if it increases it won't be as big as the numbers you are fishing for 3 places with in just the 3 stop regional tournaments set up. I think we are going to see Mr. Hallman on the Elites real soon!

Great videos Bradley. Why did you fish the jig on spinning rod instead of a casting rod and say 15lb floro.?

Well Chris that’s a great question that’s really a long answer. I may make a video about just that. Hindsight I would go with the big rod I think 🤔 used it the week after and it’s better at some things for sure

What I learned from lake Oneida, was how to use a pillow when traveling by vehicle. In order to use a tablet computer. It improves posture a little. Normally those of us using screens in that way. Do this think of bending neck, to look down at a phone or a tablet screen to work. Which is horrendous for neck posture. The larger tablet screen propped up with a large pillow. Is the way that younger people must be trained to work. Or my guess is, they figure these things out amongst themselves. Being digital natives now.

@@BradleyHallmanFishing I've noticed that in construction even. The thing of technology has increased there. I've done a good bit in it over the years (although, I've noticed in the past decade in particular that my knowledge has become outdated, and I dragged my heels in keeping up). That was a mistake. I happened to listen to some random chat between guys. On a podcast this afternoon. They were trying to argue with each other. If their electricity for air conditioning in Texas. Was going to cost them more consumption of electricity units. Or the charge of an electrical vehicle to drive around for that day, would cost more. So these 'computers' and platforms in software technology. Come into construction a lot now. In terms of trying to do that type of analysis. In order to design the systems that are installed in new buildings. It suits people with a mathematical sense or talent.

It's like Alan Kay, one of the early engineers at Apple computers explained. He would rather take a mathematician and train them to be a computer programmer. Than take a computer programmer and try to train them in mathematics. I would just stick to very generic stuff (mathematics is basically a form of logic, and in general doing 'fishing for a living' is a lot to do with calculation of odds). Just ask Matt Pangrac about that. It's the one branch of mathematics that he does, which he says applies to his fishing. I think he learned it in marketing or some subject like that. Mathematics and computers. Are one in the same thing. And as I explained, when it comes to construction now even. A lot of these projects have to be understood by people who work on them. On that level.

Man. With an early number on day 2 I thought you would have been in good shape. Glad you discussed possibly going to the baitcaster. What was the reason for the spinning setup? Was it due to how you were presenting the bait or how you were positioned to fight the fish once it was on? Enjoy the journey.

**NOT ABOUT FISHING** Bradley, as a fellow follower of all things college football, I actually feel like Oklahoma actually WON with Venables. Riley, will certainly win the Pac 12 like every year, but..Venables can actually win the SEC, and Lincoln was scared of it. (I'm a HUGE Florida Gators Fan for no reason because I'm from Texas)

@@BenC-77 The defense recruiters the guys we have now are scary good. Be nice to see that side of the ball back in Norman. Been to many years without it. We are honestly looking forward to Sec schedule as well just for the fact of the games as far as a season ticket holder. Much better games on Saturday win or lose. I’m a homer I know but I think you will see the same Oklahoma football for the next 25 years that everyone has seen for the last 50. They going to play ball obviously could have some down years but should be strong for years to come.

All you can do on those lakes you have less experience on is learn from it, do the best you can and hold your position.
Then when you hit more confidence lakes you need to do better than average on them..
