I love how much he looks at both Hila and Ethan when he talks. I feel like a lot of guests tend to focus on Ethan since she’s so much quieter. Great interview!
Thats why I love Theo. He doesn't just sit back, and get interviewed. He always forms a connection with the folks interviewing him, and asks questions about them. You can tell he actually gives a shit about what they're saying.
After years and years of watching him talk on podcasts, I think I can say for an absolute fact Theo is a genuinely good guy down to his core. I'm sure he's done some shit he's not proud of in his past as a result of his addiction. I'm in the same boat and my experience with addiction literally changed forever how I interact with people. I actively make a concerted effort to always treat everyone I come across the best I possibly can to make up for feelings of guilt for not being a person I was proud of earlier in my life during active addiction. Theo's podcast literally got me through a particular rough three-month stretch where I thought about suicide daily. He didn't change my life circumstances but for the time I was listening to him, I was able to escape the prison my mind was caught up in and I eventually got through that nightmare of a time.
@@deepweb.mp3 hmm that’s an interesting take! I always recognized and appreciated how empathetic, considerate and attentive Theo is. Never thought about it connecting or having to do with his addiction. But it makes sense.. There’s something about seeing that darkness I think. I'm personally more proud of him for opening up about feeling like shit and not trying to hide it from the world. Honestly that probably got him to where he is now way faster than if he was hidden and ashamed about it.
Hila is the perfect cohost because she asks the best questions, but really never interupts, but also acts as an audience member to keep the conversations going.
Honestly for a long time I didn’t like her on the podcasts but recently she’s really stepped up into her role, becoming less shy and talking more and now I really enjoy her presence on the show.
I think its because he’s so empathetic. Also subconsciously he always rises people up, ethan will say something like “im not interesting” and theo will slowly debunk that bad thought and indirectly say “no you’re awesome” in a genuine way.
I noticed that as well! She is so quiet and nervous on the shows with guests. You could tell this is Hila wanting to bust out laughing her ass off but fighting it back as much as possible.

Really is good advice tho. “What do you do when you meet people?” introduce yourself and shake hands. I feel like all this common knowledge advice gets forgotten because we think of it as cliché and oversimplified, but it’s really good. Like if you’re nervous or shy, it can be really helpful to think of meeting people as a process (just an example, but anyway, just thought that was interesting)
Loooooved this podcast man! They had such good vibes.. They got so deep about Ethan's dad at the beginning, I wasn't expecting it, kinda strange knowing all that after his parents have been on H3 a few times

I just love how the energy bounces in this podcast. Like Theo thinks they are hilarious and Ethan and Hila think he is hilarious so the laughter just expands and builds with the jokes so naturally like a group of close friends or something

You can tell Ethan is doing better. He’s a lot more calm, and takes things in more. Its night and day. Good for him for admitting he needs help, and getting it done (whether that’s meds or therapy). Seems much healthier. One of his best podcast performances. Def his best hosting so far. Edit: I updated my original post, as some felt it was too harsh the way I worded it. For the record, it was not meant to be that way. I actually think it’s great that Ethan openly talks about being on psych meds and seeing a therapist. My comment was meant to be a positive.
Why is this uneeded? Ethan had a while episode talking about how bad things had got for him and how much it took to finally take that step. This guy is giving him props and being positive and sees how well he is doing. Like what? Shhhh, Don't talk about the meds? Smh
I don't have my dad or mom in my life. I was abused, but I turned out to be the most empathetic person you'd ever meet. I'd put others before me in a heartbeat. The past doesn't define you, what you take from it and act does.
Awai i have found that when people are abused generally they either become VERY empathetic, or have no empathy at all. happy to hear u came out on top💜
All in all, I believe you have a choice how to act in life. Becoming a pedophile doesn't automatically become ingrained in an individual's dna. That goes beyond "nature vs. nurture." People have choices. People have a conscience. You can come out of things with mental issues, but it's your choice how to act as a whole. I agree that my past influenced my empathetic personality, but it doesn't choose how I behave morally, physically and cognitively. Micheal Jackson is a pedophile. His past didn't MAKE him into a pedophile. He had the conscience to see that what he was doing was wrong. (Hiding it and coaching his victims) There is a fine line between how you're affected by trauma and how you act as a human being. People who use their traumas as an excuse to do bad things are just plain Manipulating.
@@FrigFrogGaming In part. That's the case for some people, but for others they are born a certain way and literally never had a chance to be otherwise. Some of us are born into bad situations but we still get to see some good in the world and other people and because of that could develop to be a loving good person, but others are literally always surrounded by bad and by the time they are old enough where they get a chance to see and interpret the world on their own they are so wired in a bad way that it's very unlikely they could change while others are literally born as a psychopath or have some other mental "disorder" that they literally have no chance of changing. It's kind of like height we are predisposed to grow to a certain height and we can grow to be somewhat taller or shorter depending on our diet, stress, sleep, etc but other will be migets no matter what. That's the reality of life, we make ourselves believe we have total control of what we do, how we act and how we'll be because it makes us feel better but in actuality a lot of our life is completely out of our control.
Maybe you put others ahead of you because you grew up without people showing you love and have no selfworth. So what you call empathy could actually just be you not being able to care about yourself and valuing others more than yourself. The past is who we are. The past literally defines us. But like rosa parks said "if it wasn't for the struggle then I wouldn't be me"

Noone cares about this at all, but Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz also independently discovered calculus at the same time as Isaac Newton. Newton tried to accuse Leibniz of plagiarism but his approach to discovering the subject was so different from Newton's that he didn't really have a case. Today in modern calculus classes, Leibniz's notation is used over Newtons' especially in engineering and physics due to it's better representation of differentials and integrals.

Look up his Joe Rogan episodes they’re amazing! Also see his podcast and his Netflix special No Offense. You won’t regret it!
Check out his podcast. It’s gold
Check out him on bobby Lee's podcast. Comedy gold.
I died when Theo couldn’t remember Einstein’s first name
Dude I'll think Larry Einstein forever now. 🤣😂
Lawrence
Jeff!
Thats classic Theo and its so obvious yet never gets old lol
"how do you accept a compliment?"
"thank you"
Learn so much on this podcast.
I thought maybe I’m gay, but I was just really lonely 😭🤣
He's not alone bruh
I feel it... 🙁
Thsiscool maybe your gay
@@fat4603 you're*
When did he say that?
Loooooved this podcast man! They had such good vibes..
They got so deep about Ethan's dad at the beginning, I wasn't expecting it, kinda strange knowing all that after his parents have been on H3 a few times
yeah fr
yeah, I love Gary man
The part about remembering things you did as a kid that make you cringe really helped me. I never thought of it that way. Thank you all ♡
Do you know around what time they discussed? I do that all the time
Daniel at 7:56 mins plus 12:45 divided by 6 than subtract two ok 👌🏼

It's so amazing how some of Theo's funniest jokes go completely unnoticed. All the time, no matter what podcast or whatever he's on
So true xD
That's unfortunately bound to happen when everything you say is hilarious 😂
1:28:50 so casual 😂
No one:
Theo: What were we talking about?
Ethan: Gay time travellers.
I haven't laughed this hard in a long time. Thank you so much for that. I needed it.
That’s all Ethan and the rat king, the whole pod was a highlight reel.
Theo :"I had part of my disc removed."
Ethan : "Oh were you injured?"
Theo: "..."
Ethan: "..."
Theo: "..Yea"
Idk why but this pause killed me
Same here! What the fuck was that?
I’m glad I’m not the only one who found that hilarious. That was so odd lmao
I didn't find it funny, I found it worrysome, the air became so tense in such a short time...
Theos timing was perfect!
The fact that he didnt elaborate. Hahaha
Theo is such a gentle and kind soul on a fundamental level, that he couldn't even fathom child abuse when he saw a photo of it.
Theo really has such an interesting brain, it’s so nice how he sees everything in analogies
You defined him perfectly. Someone that understands.
i fucking loved this episode. this conversation flowed to well the whole time. theo should return
This is my 3rd time watching this dude.. Theo is a character
Still waiting for the return of Theo Von 😭
Not going to happen Ethan ain’t the cool guy here
@@RockOut446 wym?
Desperately waiting in 2024 waiting for another Theo Von H3 crossover
4 years laters.. still one of the best episodes !!!
The interview is actually so much better and funnier than their interviews now, it makes me kinda sad 😢
This is the funniest video I’ve almost ever seen. Anybody notice how much Ethan was truly enjoying himself this episode? He didn’t even use his script/notes for the whole episode. This was absolute gold.
Jesus christ that juggling analogy, I had to pause the video and contemplate life for a hot minute
Katye it was profound
Dude it’s crazy how profound this man is. Like that was easily a throwaway analogy for him, but it fucking SUNK IN with everyone else. Gang gang

1:28:30 R.I.P Billy Conforto, ate some pills and drove into an embankment
so glad he still bring up billy, I laugh every time RIP though
RIP!! gets me every single time lol
Billy!!
I just love how the energy bounces in this podcast. Like Theo thinks they are hilarious and Ethan and Hila think he is hilarious so the laughter just expands and builds with the jokes so naturally like a group of close friends or something
"What was Einstein's first name? Lawrence?" - Theo Von
This Podcast was one of my absolute favorites! Loved the discussions y'all had. They honestly really helped me out and gave me a good laugh in the process.
TO SHEA you should give his podcast a listen. This is why I love Theo. Good insight and laughs all in one place 👌🏼 guy’s a legend
Same dude Same ✊
@@CrazyAbe101 I absolutely will! Thank you!
Easily one of their best guests. Complete nonsense, ridiculous conversation but extremely fun to hear. Theo Von is great.
That's odd you say that because I found this conversation one of the most introspective, honest ones I've ever heard.
It's been a life long fear of mine that I would get beat with a bag of Werther's Originals... now i'm convinced i'm next.

This made me so happy. Almost like a free therapy session! I love seeing Theo just delight everyone in the room no matter what podcast he's on :)
I never laugh out loud when I listen to podcasts even when I find them funny. I was literally crying laughing walking around in public listening to this hahahaha
watching this 5 years later and seeing how they both have grown so much professionally and as people is so heartwarming
Theo said "ethereum" when referring to Einstein's chemicals in his labs. That's a crypto currency hahahah
LUL I was half listening and that made me think I misheard him. Ethereum on his leg? 😐
Either he thought that was an element, or it was just a joke, I thought it was pretty funny lol
I caught it. Check out P3D, the best way to earn ethereum and dope ass discord community. Google it.
i only came to the comments to see if anyone would point it out lol
I like how they had REAL dead air right after talking about dead air ( 1:10:00 )
I don't understand why though it was so weird like what amade that moment so awkward Ethan looks so confused

Griffin Hopf lol I read this comment at 1:17 when Ethan said that 😂

Jacob Cruz best episode of all time
Jacob Cruz Ethan is luck Theo didn’t choke him out
Great episode
GANG GANG! Theo brought that HITTAH!!
Right.theo came out with so much content this past 1 day!
You can tell Ethan is doing better. He’s a lot more calm, and takes things in more. Its night and day. Good for him for admitting he needs help, and getting it done (whether that’s meds or therapy). Seems much healthier. One of his best podcast performances. Def his best hosting so far.
Edit:
I updated my original post, as some felt it was too harsh the way I worded it. For the record, it was not meant to be that way. I actually think it’s great that Ethan openly talks about being on psych meds and seeing a therapist. My comment was meant to be a positive.
Was this comment really needed though? Like you are gonna be that asshole?
New baby on the way buddy
@@Smokeyxz Agreed, unneeded comment
Why is this uneeded? Ethan had a while episode talking about how bad things had got for him and how much it took to finally take that step. This guy is giving him props and being positive and sees how well he is doing. Like what? Shhhh, Don't talk about the meds? Smh
@Ecks Dee he is on an SSRI. That's hardly an antipsychotic.
"I love pears. Most underrated fucking fruit out there" - Theo Von 2019

i loooove when you guys talk about mental health and get personal. we all need to be reminded we’re not alone in our feelings
When Ethan says “you all think I’m ignorant” but he actually shows that he has a good understanding of the foundations of the history of physics
Theo is so funny and cool but also sweet and thoughtful. Definitely a new fan :)
Hes awesome. Hes got catchphrases for days , and you will end up repeating them all the time.
Yea he’s a cool cayotay!
Its normal for people that have been abused to be more empathetic, which means that the past does indeed define you
All in all, I believe you have a choice how to act in life. (Hiding it and coaching his victims)
There is a fine line between how you're affected by trauma and how you act as a human being. People who use their traumas as an excuse to do bad things are just plain Manipulating.
@@FrigFrogGaming
In part.
But like rosa parks said "if it wasn't for the struggle then I wouldn't be me"
Rewatching this and I laughed so hard my chest hurt during the part where he talks about e-mailing that picture. Theo is such a funny dude.
1:10:00 This was such a real moment, props to Ethan for that minor internal debate on whether he should press it, and then leaving it alone lol. Love my boy Theo.
I was so proud of Ethan in that moment!

Yes
"Dana white, he brought back Roman fighting" idc what anyone says, imo Theo is the funniest dude on this planet at the moment. Gang Gang
Yes he's been slept on for a long time, but he is fucking hilarious. One of the naturally funniest comedians I've seen in a long time. So many comedians try to get too political or on a sob story nowadays, and that's getting old real fast. I think its a phase that people are getting tired of as well. I for one just want some good old fashioned comedy, and this dude has it by the gallon
please get him on again the chemistry is hilarious

Noone cares about this at all, but Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz also independently discovered calculus at the same time as Isaac Newton. Newton tried to accuse Leibniz of plagiarism but his approach to discovering the subject was so different from Newton's that he didn't really have a case. Today in modern calculus classes, Leibniz's notation is used over Newtons' especially in engineering and physics due to it's better representation of differentials and integrals.
I was laughing to myself reading this because I pictured the first reply being, "Nerd."
