Just watched The Art of Racing in the Rain on Blu-ray and the memories brought me back to this video (UA-cam says I watched years ago, don’t remember). I grew up in Seattle in the 80s and spent many a weekend at this track in Kent, Wa both as a spectator and driving “track days”. As an adult I moved away from the Pacific NW to start a career in pro motorsports. Watching the movie brought back memories of this old race track. Thanks! But I never understood why the curbing in 3a and 3b is ONLY on the outside of the corners and not at the APEX? What happens when too many cars drop wheels at the apex of 3b and starting digging a ditch in the earth? There should be better apex curbing in my opinion.
Thanks for sharing your memories! I love the movie and the book. I think the racing line is calling for a very late Apex, but I agree that especially the exit of 3B can be dangerous if you set your wheel off.
It was entertaining watching the end of “Art of Racing” when he was driving Enzo in the old Ferrari going through 3a and 3b.....in both directions lol! Such a beautiful circuit and historic Ferrari

This track looks sketchy but also super fun
it is an old track with little runoff... but fun if you stay within the limits
End of this month I’m visiting for the first time to flag the scca race
