Your new stove looks amazing. I'm sure it's going to take some time to master it. I've been watching your vlogs for over a year. Your channel popped up on my feed for quite some time before I finally watched one of your vlogs. I live in the city and your channel name put me off a little bit. I've never hunted or tasted venison so didn't think the info you provide would pertain to me. I was so wrong. Although I don't make cheese, hunt or fish, I have found the information your bring to be extremely, informative and entertaining. You are a bright, intelligent woman who is down to earth and real. I am so happy to have found you. Many thanks for sharing your experience.

Not bad! Your first attempt at a wood stove oven sure was better than my first attempt! We have a smaller wood stove in our garage for work shop heat and I thought that I would try baking a pie. We just used the top of the stove if we needed to after that attempt. I have to admit the oven was way hotter than I anticipated and the results were not nearly as edible as your buns.
By the way - besides your wood stove I love your newer model Bosch! I have the old style universal that does not have that initial slow speed. A little tip to have your dough not stick after it is mixed for removal is to put a little oil in for the last couple rotations and it will coat the outside of the dough as it is pulled off of the bowl. I have the large metal mixer bowl and it works for mine as well but your original bowl is already not as clingy as the metal bowl. I have a question for you about the damp cloth that you used to cover your dough... what type of cloth is it and did you get it at a fabric store or a bake store? I currently use half of a white plastic bag that fit my trays perfectly. I freeze them I have several) between uses and just keep reusing them. It keeps the dough from getting dry as well and peels off with no problem.
I loved your video and look forward to more content. Well done!

The fabric I use is 100% cotton tea towel fabric.

I am watching this as I wait for my sourdough bread to rise enough to go into my wood cook stove too! Your stove is beautiful and so nice and large! We are only a family of 2 so our small oven is just fine most of the time. It does take time to learn how to regulate the heat as well as cook evenly. Your rolls looked delicious especially with that lovely homemade butter! MMMM

The wood stove has the biggest fire box I've ever seen on a wood stove. The music you were playing whilst watching the beginning was so therapeutic, I could easily sit in silence watching that and when you rested in your rocking chair with the little man, was so lovely. What a perfect place to sit with a cuppa.

Hey, always cook bread on the bottom of the oven . This will cook your bread through and get the bottom brown. Turn the pan every 10 minutes. This will ensure even cooking. When you heat the cook stove it takes about 30 to 40 minutes to get it to temp after you turn down the draft. Just keep trying it takes some time to get used to, but you will get it. Your going to have better luck because your new stove is airtight . The old ones don’t regulate the heat as well. Happy cooking

Everything about the cook stove is wonderful. I guess with more time I might see some drawbacks but so the heat is lovely. Hamish has the chore of bringing wood up for the day. We will obviously not be using it in the middle of summer but we have long winters and our shoulder seasons can be cool too. No regrets.
