Taco Tuesday on the Jobsite

- t’s Tuesday- Taco Tuesday.
We’re gonna make Carne Asada Tacos right here on the Jobsite.
We put a bed of sand in the bottom of the wheelbarrow to keep the tire and the handles from getting too hot.
Next we made a marinade for the Asada.
We started with olive oil, added plenty of lime juice, some fresh garlic- chopped up with my putty knife, then my special hot powder made from crushed Red Pepper, Ghost Peppers, and Trinidad Scorpions- and finally some salt.
Once this was all mixed up, it was time to marinate the meat.
We got this beautiful skirt steak from a local butcher and he even offered to butterfly it for us.
After it had been on the grill for a couple of minutes, we hit it with more salt and lime juice.
While it was grilling we cut up the onions and cilantro.
At this point, I thought about just eating the steak and not even making tacos.
Next, I set the CAT bucket up on some blocks and put a propane torch underneath so we could fry the corn tortillas and melt shredded Oaxaca cheese.
We grilled both sides of the cheese, so there was a crust on it, and placed it on top of the tortillas.
Then we added the chopped steak on top.
Once it was off the grill, we added onion, cilantro, and some hot tomatillo sauce.
These were really fun to make and tasted amazing - especially the cheese.

It's all fake. Everything besides the wheel barrow was clean and brand new.
Thats real food right there. At our site last winter, we seasoned and wrapped whole chickens in foil. Then we put the wrapped chickens under the hot coals of the fire that the guys built early that morning. At lunch we pulled the chickens out and hit them with a lot of lemon. We just used heated flour tortillas that one of the guy's wives made. We put a tortilla in one hand and pinched the meat right off the bone. Hit it with more lemon and pico de gallo. I ate like four of them, it was super good!
lol i was thinkin this sounds good then he mentioned all those killer spices & I'm like how the F%^& would you know if the tacos tasted good once your taste buds, lips & tongue went numb from that instant fire in ones mouth.

I worked for one construction company that treated us like this and me and the crew I worked for were some of the hardest working guys I've ever seen on a construction crew appreciate your team and they will work hard for you

I work at a Wholesale company (Warehouse shit) and they treat us like this quite often! Some days, I definitely don’t want to go to work but I always go. They deserve it and they know what we deserve, good quality higher ups are hard to come by

my boy, i hate to say it but this is not at all true 🤣 the guys that work on this crew are BLESSED, trust me. my crew doesnt even get lunch breaks, we eat on whatever machine we operating 😭 and then half the time they dont even want to bring no water for us 😭😭
You’ll find some of the funniest people on site, we’re all trying to make the best out of bad situations 🤣
I like to imagine these guys aren’t even construction workers. I picture the site foreman coming out and yelling “HEY! WHO THE HELL ARE YOU AND WHAT ARE YOU DOING ON MY SITE?!” And then chase them off, like a few UA-camrs walked onto a job site and just started cooking and the actual workers there were just like “meh, let’s see how this turns out” and just sit back and watch.
they aren't, 99.99% are miserable human beings

@@Tina-mt9cl because if he’s paid by the hour, then it doesn’t matter how long he takes to make it because he will make the same amount regardless now we all know he isn’t paid by the hour most likely paid by the job but yes if he is paid by the hour, then it doesn’t matter how much work he gets done technically the less work he does the more money he makes when you’re paid by the hour.

Dude, y'all are creative AF. Best we ever goy on job sites I worked on were hotdogs and hamburgers, which don't get it twisted, were great, and the site manager paid for them all, but man, I wish the crews I worked with were even 1% as creative as this.
