He came out of the war weary, but also wiser and more appreciative of what he did have. And in that, we can feel his frustration he feels when he sees the empire he fought for breaking down due to incompetence and corruption when he saw first hand then when the chips are down, it's many ethnic and language groups could come together, they could fight together and eventually, they won together. We feel his rage that a second great war is imminent, against familar enemies to the west and east which will mean he and so many young boys, bright eyed like he once was, would be sent to fight and die against.
To be fair, he was canonized after his death, he wasn’t a saint in life. According the Catholic tradition one can’t until death. Padre Pio wasn’t officially a saint until after he died.

St. Mother Theresa of Calcutta was one of the few exceptions (possibly for political reasons) that was beatified and canonized in a few years rather than decades. Karl’s slow process was also possibly political in nature as well, seeing as he was a liberal federalist reformist in his short term as Kaiser and the Catholic Church at the time was staunchly conservative. Wouldn’t see the return of some “liberal views” within the church until Pius during the war.

I really love this new Austria Hungary tráiler, its really awesome, i cant wait to see the Ottomans one, or the south American one, and by the way mostly because im mexican I cant wait to see a Mexican Trailer about the aftermath of the Revolution, and a rework of the Country, because México currently has a lot of potential yet not exploited, cant wait to see, how this mod progress through time.
Since we got the Austrians, it'd be fun if we eventually got a WoK video for the Ottomans. It'd be pretty cool to see a ground view of all the issues the empire has to deal with- Arab and Turkish nationalists pulling in opposite directions, the struggles of modernization, scars from the WK, etc.

it would be cool if you could add the option of merging the reichspakt and entente into a single alliance at some point if the scenario plays out favorably for both sides It would go something like this Maybe there’s an option to just let the Russian state have the Ostwall states to avoid war with them, and then we have a Cold War kind of like our timeline between the fascist Moscow accord and the merged entente/reichspakt alliance, even better if the USA or PSA wins the civil war and joins the entente There’s already one Cold War scenario emerging between the victorious third internationale with the csa/ and the Russian state It might be cool to give to option for Germany to chicken out in the east, defeat the syndicalists, and have the option to merge with the entente into a Kaiserreich version of nato to counter russias growing power Maybe even make some Kaiserreich Cold War Focus trees and tech tree expansions for the Moscow accord / neo nato / and the third Internationale You’ve done such a good and amazing job overhauling the game so far, this would be awesome

Compared to all other WoK's this feels very different. Everytime they speak of war and revolution, but not in this one. He speaks of peace and isolationism from the conflicts abroad. Initially i didnt like this video for said reason, but i guess it makes sense as A-H was on the brink of collapse in the first world war. Nobody in the empire wants to defend a world order forged and controlled by germany, but they want the peace and prosperity for their children which they never had in their youth. With that popular idea of neutrality it makes sense that A-H can only get involved in the war when germany is at the brink of collapse, as it was (or still is) in the game.
