I know its pretty late to apply. But I wanna apply for Architecture Design March. If you could just share the process of making a portfolio and writing SOP. Then that will be great.
I am in the M.Arch program at the University of Kansas in the USA. Here at KU, it is a 5 year program, in which the 5th year is your graduate (masters) year. So it is integrated into your studies. It is interesting seeing how other schools only have a bachelor's program then have to apply for a master's program.
This is giving me PTSD of my application for architecture 😂 I've got 2 offers so far just waiting for 2 more! Wish you the best of luck with your applications!!
Good vid, you’re welcome at Oxford Brookes! We share several tutor teams with The Bartlett thanks to our proximity. We have A0 plotters that can print 30 pages a minute ;) good luck in your exploration of architecture and thanks for giving good advice to applicants! It’s an amazing course, keep your work/life balance for best results.
Just applied to ucl too and got an offer for the msci programme, so who knows, maybe we'll bump into each other some day (if I get the grades, eek!) good luck on your application mate!
@mistaT what was the process like for the Msci as i have applied for that course at UCL, doubt I will get in but just interested to know what the process and drawing task was all about
@@tobycoulson6158 first off, have some confidence! idk you personally but I'm sure you're good considering you're applying for ucl! so as you've just applied you should get given a task soon, which is 6 pages of drawings of your daily life. I think they like you to be slightly conceptual, imaginative for this one, I would suggest to have a look at their 2020 summer exhibition book, to see students work for a good idea. If you get to the interview stage, they will want to talk a lot about your task and portfolio, they're not like Cambridge asking ridiculous questions. It is very informal, chilled, but make sure you have enough to talk about your portfolio. I think the portfolio is the single most important thing in the interview because I was super nervous in my interview but my portfolio saved me I think.
@@Potatoverynice thank you so much, really helpful! yes the drawing task is the bit I am nervous about, but I have been able to see past year applicants and what they completed.
I wish you the best of luck @mistaT , you’ve got past the hard part! As one of the first 18 studying the MSci right now, it’s an amazing course that’s had so much effort put into it, you will truly love it if you decide to join.
Aww man, in my final year of MEng at the Bartlett, unfortunate that I won't be around when you possibly get in. Heads up, the plotters at the Bartlett are a war zone during deadline periods, come early when you need them 👌🏻
Hey Thomas, Great Portfolio. Totally loved it :) I have a question regarding the Bartlett appl;ication. I am appling this year and i have staretd the application but i am unable to find the Portfolio upload section inside the appl;ication. Can you help mw on how to attach the portfolio with in the application. Thanks :)
Hey , Thomas Hope you are doing well and Congratulations on get into University of Westminster!!! I am thinking of masters in UK and Europe as well. I would love it if you could make a video on PORTFOLIO Walkthrough ,how you went about it , what you did/didn't do , Also what sizes for portfolio , how did you narrow down to three University , there are schools like AA , Uni of Cardiff, Sheffield, Bath , Nottingham? I would love to know what you think! Thankss🌼

Good luck man, love your content, and your channel...i would love though if you change up the beat music in your videos, maybe go for something more chill
thanks mate! yes i would advise you to put together a portfolio that showcases your personality, skills and your passion for the subject. Maybe try and show different types of drawings and mediums (sketch, pen work, paint, models, computer work etc) to show that you have a wide range of skills and ability to adapt. but the most important thing is to show that you want to be on the course because you are interested in architecture so showcase some research and architecture that you’re interested in
Nice video! I heard in this year Bartlett requires digital portfolio and the file limit of uploading is only 2MB! Is that true? How do you manage to shrink the portfolio to that small?

Nice video! I heard in this year Bartlett requires digital portfolio and the file limit of uploading is only 2MB! Is that true? How do you manage to shrink the portfolio to that small?
I believe this isn’t correct. I think the file size is a bit bigger than this but i will find out when they request one from me
yeah i dont think this is true, but if it is you can search for pdf compressor and it gets the job done usually
How about AA
