    Glad you like this knife. I was on the fence about spending $500 on it, but now after watching your review I'm going to get one. I respect your process reviewing a knife. Some reviewers seem to just carry or handel a knife a bit & comment without any real use.
    You should really check out the, Spartan Pallas button lock flipper; its a bargain compared to the Harsey at half the price. Very similar to the Microtech Socom Elite manual, one of my top 5 knives imo.

      That knife is at the top of my list to get my hands on soon, I’ve heard very good things!

    I have the exact same knife and it just came in today, It’s already my favorite, so smooth, the action is amazing! And it’s not broken in yet.

    Do you still have it and if so are you happy w/ the knife and its performance or was there something that made you move it along ?

    I wanted this model BAD, but it sold out. What I’ve learned since; it’s silly for me to have such a nice knife that will get beat up over the years. Going with the new Benchmade 275 Adamas in CruWear. I have a Difensa from them. GREAT knife. I say all that to say this; These are meant to collect.

      I've got an inkosi that goes in the same pocket as my keys. Personally I think scratches and snail trails show love. Unless you plan on reselling the knife, it's overall less stressful to not worry about everyday wear as long as you aren't outright abusing it.

      By the way this exact configuration is available at GP Knives right now 😆

      This is your opinion, I use the shit out of mine and also out of knives that cost double or triple. Let's leave the price behind and all the rarity ans stuff.. At the end of the day it is "only" a knife, so fuck it and use it. That's just me.

    Awesome review. Really happy to see the long term thoughts and research! I think spartan makes some of the best stuff. And Curtis is the man! We need more people like him in the industry!

      Thanks for watching and for giving me the chance to check it out buddy! And you’re right, if we could clone Curtis and have more of him it would probably be a very good thing 😂

    The important question is this: are you hands big enough for this, or do you have Tom-sized hands?

    • @beardedgear
      @beardedgear  4 роки тому

      Nobody has hands as tiny as Toms 😂

    • @alexanderbertallo1995
      @alexanderbertallo1995 4 роки тому

      This is the nature of the beast... double finger groove handles fits like 4 or 5 glove size hands... and for the rest they are subpar...
      That's why the majority of handles have just one index finger groove or none at all (I am not talking about front finger choils here, that is a whole other thing whith completely different philosophies behind)
      Long story short: for tactical applications finger grooves are IMHO really important and when rightly done beneficial for the user, but that one knife will never be optimal for too many different sized hands... it is what it is...

  • @murrayannandale

    Terribly priced, poor steel, thickly ground, weak clip, weak point at lock side pivot, horrible plunge grind.

      I got a full size Plague Doctor in s45vn for $390. broke in after about a week of flickery... stiff at first, but now smooth like glass, awesome lock up - no blade play, no pivot lash, no grit... the grind is near perfect, and sharp as I could want it... I would prefer a choil, but that was a design choice, but a flaw. I think it's awesome - maybe you got a bad sample
