The game's been pretty fun, combat is fun and challenging, world exploration isn't a slog to get through and even has mechanical depth if you use your cards right. Story is a little bumpy but it gets the point across fairly well, and the characters are really fun and in a sense unique in comparison to those in the genre. Seeing the new update for the game along with the new map and traversal mechanics is exciting, though the post-apocalyptic charm the game had at the start had kinda waned down, witnessing that the decs aren't afraid to explore new avenues for the game's world building is commendable. Hope they add more mechanics for the Depths of Illusive Realm, the rougelite mode has been my go to way of spending time in-game.
Fantastic game with a very generous developer. You can play the entire game for free and the developers do give quite a bit of premium currency to gamble for characters, weapons, etc. but honestly do not have to.
yea, kinda the reason I don't play it too much. These previews are fun, but I also understand the time investment these games require. I had a good time, but I'm also not the biggest fan of the genre. Still, fun :)
Started out as a genshin copy but I've been enjoying it A LOT more, the combat is so good and satisfying and the drop rates are actually not bad plus kuro are very generous with the free pulls. I've yet to spend any money and already have all the characters I wanted.
I won't spend money to pull characters because you need a big chunk of in game currency to get one (I am always on high pity) so since kuro is making skins imma spend my money on those
Gatcha is a type of game where you basically gamble to get a character/weapon you want. Rather than unlocking a character/weapon like normal; you can earn in game currency for a chance at a character/weapon you want. If you are lucky you can even unlock multiple characters/weapons in a single action. You can be completely free to play without spending a dime or you can spend real money to get more chances at what you want.
Gachas can be RPGs but the genre is so diverse that you can find a gacha game for every genre. Shooter, tower defense and (in this case) open world rpg, you name it. Gachas are games where you don't start with all the characters available and you have to "pull", "roll" for them in order to unlock them. You have a global currency that can be used for obtaining new characters. The main loop of these games is building up a certain party, taking on challenges and min maxing your characters. It's a life service game so you get new content with every patch, whether it's story, new maps to explore, new events, mini games, you name it. Now, i really need to point this out. You don't need to spend a single penny on games like these if you don't want to. The appeal of these games is to induce fomo and make you roll for a limited character.. If you don't get the character or if you're close to the amount of currency you need, the game encourages you to spend money and secure the character. You don't really need to fall into that trap. You can save up your currency (which you'll get from different sources by just playing the game), you can skip some characters you don't want and hoard your currency or you can wait until that character you want comes back. All characters come back in a few months. Characters are obtained through "banners". Banners are events availble for a limited time featuring certain characters, usually lasting around the 3 weeks mark. You won't be able to get those characters featured in that banner after the banner is gone, (like i said, they eventually come back) that's why people plan their pulls ahead, skip characters or straight up spend money. Games like these require spending time regularly on small bursts, like logging in every day and play for 20 minutes, by doing so you get daily currency which can be used to roll for new characters or weapons. These games have a lot of content and you get more content with each patch, so you can take your time. I've played gacha games for 3 years now and i spent money ONCE. It's definitely not for everyone, but these games have come a long way. They can be very greedy, but i know wuwa is some of those games where they take criticism and really try to improve the game, so for me it's worth it. I tried my best to explain it clearly, did that help?
Gacha is a type of monetization system which generally is predatory and involves gambling to earn characters, weapons and progression. Gacha games can come in different genres such as tower defense, rpg, idle, rhythm etc. But with the gacha monetization attached. They can be enjoyed but the only people i would recommend gacha to are people who are already familiar with the monetization scheme and dark patterns that companies employ as theyre more resilient to being psychologically manipulated by these games. If you never played one I would highly recommend to stay away if you have little self control since thats the people these type of games prey on. They have the usual eastern mobile game systems, like energy, time gates, limited currency, inflated prices of digital goods, fomo tactics etc. Some can be more generous than others, but overall I would recommend caution and vigilance if you were to ever want to try one.
The Story is the Weakest Part of this game since Released, It's Almost Feels like they tried to Cater to Actual Children with How much the Story feels like a Saturday Morning Cartoon, It really doesn't Fit the Post Apocalyptic Vibe at all with how Childlishly petty most of the characters are, I really don't understand how they Fumble this up when their Previous game PGR have a near Perfect Post apocalyptic story full of Tension and Suspension where everyone fights for Survival, Instead of this Juvenile Horny Power Fantasy, where everything Revolve around the Rover, and every Character Exist Mainly to jerk him off and be saved by him, it feels like they try too hard to be Genshin (Which arent even a good game)- Or to appeal to Genshin Audience Instead of forging its own unique Identity, I hope it gets better in the Next Patch, and Maybe you could Spoil me if the Vibe of the Story change at all
Its not a post apocalypse though... the first lament happened thousands of years ago and humans have rebuilt and reclaimed land. It would be weird for it to still feel like a post apocalypse. What wuwa really is is a post-post apocalypse
Another chinese random anime character gatcha. Its unveliable how souless these games feel. And the gatcha business… Ive played some of them. Not anymore. If you want good RPG there is a big cataloge of classics and very good games without shitty mechanics and chinese cheap copycat stuff. Also, some recent ones are very good.

As a day 1 player i love how Kuro did improve WuWa more and more and 2.0 looks like an amazing fun time to explore and side content so yeah
