It is not the Depot being relocated. This is the 165th St. Terminal. MTA also did not elect to move, they are being compelled to due to a new landlord at the site.

The bus terminal is being evicted where do you want them to move ! That's the only location that is even nearly large enough to accommodate a terminal! Having it directly by the police station, motor vehicle office and Jamaica Avenue will greatly benefit the ridership! Again you want to protest, picket the building owners for eviciting terminal that's been there for over 90 years! Any new complex on that land will have a far ranging effect on the whole community! The terminal should be rebuilt in place! There are a lot of great businesses over there!
You do realize the alternative will be to loose street parking on the blocks surrounding 169th to accommodate street side bud layovers! Thirty plus years ago all the buses were terminating at 89th along 169th street! Would you like that to occur again? If not either have the city take over the old terminal via eminent domain or protest the real estate firm! 😊

@Certifine Ok that's going to be cluttered because the Colleseum is right there.

Blame gentrification! The terminal and stores have been there for over eighty years! Why not try to force the city to buy the terminal

There was no environmental assessment done by the mta we were against the bus terminal being built by the 103rd precinct

If they don't open a terminal I hope you guys enjoy the loss of parking on the side streets along 169th street!

It is not the MTA's fault they had to look at this parking lot for a new terminal. A new landlord has taken over the current 165th St terminal site and refused to negotiate with the TA for a new lease. Therefore forcing the TA to look at this parking lot for a new bus terminal.
