- Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary are making their way to Christiansborg Castle along with their son Prince Christian.
Princess Mary was seen wearing a white dress, while Prince Frederik was seen wearing his ceremonial outfit.
Margrethe II followed behind in a carriage, waving at the crowd as she left for Christiansborg Castle.
On the first day of their reign, Mary and Frederik and the entire royal family will participate in the Danish Parliament’s formal celebration of the succession of the throne.
The new King and Queen will also be marked spiritually in a celebratory church service at Aarhus Cathedral on Sunday.

That rolls royce was bought in 1958 ( = in the past!! ) by the father of Margrethe. The new generation will for sure choose electric cars. In fact hey already have. As one of the experts ( Chr. Eugen-Olsen, a former high up in the staff of Margrethe ) said on Danish TV, that Rolls Royce was not suited for picking foreign State Visitors up at the airport, because it was TERRIBLE to sit in at the required speed for longer distances.
Why do everyone compare Denmark with Britain? Denmark has its own history. Take pride in your own heritage.

King Frederik is a lay back type, the peoples prince/ now king. His background is from the danish elite corps, so he has nothing to prove. Every year he runs with the danes in the Royal run marathon. He will be the best king, and Mary the best Queen. They are highly respected in Denmark 🇩🇰 ✌🏼

Why kerp comparing otger royals to the britsh royals? Denmark doesnt do coronations why should it? The monarch swears an oath to the constitution they dont need to waste hundreds of millions of an aniquated coronation when the people are suffering a cost of living crisis long live the king! They are great for Denmark, just as William and Catherine are great for the UK. Catherine and Mary both have the same dignity, charm, grace and class, even they were commoners who joined royal families, and are spectacular. Unlike another commoner who slid into the UK RF and just got more vulgar imo. Someone chose a dud one and it definitely wasn't William or Frederick, who married women who also love them and their children and don't put themselves first. They married the man, not the titles and lifestyle imo🤷

@@rjkka7260 Charles paid for a lot of the Coronation himself. The Coronation itself brought a lot of revenue into the country and continues to do so! Potholes should be paid for out of the car tax we have to pay!
@@here_we_go_again2571 The Danish Kingdom is actually also a "mini commonwealth" of sorts!! The Reigning Monarch of Danmark is also the Reigning Monarch of Greenland and Faroe Islands. They both have wide political and economic independence now ( hjemmestyre ). But they are still both technically parts of the Danish Kingdom. In fact it is wellknown, that it is the popularity of the Royal Family, that "holds it together" in modern times. On NRK (Norwegian public TV) I heard on January 14th the political leader of Government on Faroe Islands say, that "independence" from Danmark had 50% support,but 3/4 supported Margrethe.
