Challenge suggestions: 1. Proxy Creep Tumor to GM. Since you never spread creep when you play Zerg, you could use some practice! Goal of the challenge is to Dropperlord Queens to the opponent's side of the map and try to cover it with creep, block their expansions and spot their unit movements. 2. Broodlord Infestor to GM. Take the old top tier Zerg build and try to beat GMs with it now that it doesn't work anymore. Like the other unit challenges, you can build a small number of early game units like Zerglings, Queens and Roaches to keep yourself from dying at the start of a match. 3. Classic Terran to GM. You're only allowed to use units, buildings and abilities that existed in SC1. No lowering Supply Depots, no dropping MULEs, no Combat Shields, no teleporting Battlecruisers. 4. Disgusting Efficiency to GM. No unit restrictions, but you have to try to play in a way as to prevent your units from being killed. Rush Caduceus Reactor on Medivacs, bring SCVs with every mech push, and so on. Other meme challenge: 2v2 "Bodyguard" challenge. You and a pro player each team up with a Silver League volunteer, and you're only allowed to attack the Silver League player's base but not the pro's (you can kill their units though). The goal is to kill the enemy Silver League while keeping yours alive.
You should do a '2v2 to Rank 1 (or whatever the top rank possible is in team matches', but restrict one of the players to healing units only. I remember a while ago you mentioned scvs can actually repair friendly protoss units. Basically force one of the 2 teammates to be a healer lmao
This guyyy !!!! He can talk ezzz and thinking about how the opponent did or not !!! And manage all units like EZ, siege, Unsiege etc VERY WP Sir :))) Inspiring us man :) ❤🎉😂😊
This boggles my mind. Just when I thought I understood how much better you pros/former pros are than plebs like me. I would have bet money that I could beat any player in the world if I had a full minute head start. But I don’t think that anymore… jeez, well done
YES! AFK challenge! in the next time at the begging try move one scv far way and start a hide base pretending be AFK, and don't let your main base have more than the 12 scv...
This one was great! Nice adaptability in skipping the unnecessary transitions to keep the timing sorta on point! Always a fun to watch you surprise yourself with the dub
I really enjoy your content, and your always positive attitude and demeanor. Never a negative or toxic thing to say, even in defeat you are positive. We need more people like you. I am a silver (maybe low gold) sc2 player, pretty casual but your videos are very entertaining and give me fun strategies to try ( and butcher the heck out of lol) Keep up the good work!
New challenge idea: you can only attack when you get 200 supply. Before that you can only defense and expand your bases. When you reach 200 supply you need to do an all-in and can't build more units. If the all-in fails, you lose.
wow 1 minute disadvantage is crazy. I think this changes the strategy to survival first... and then it's a battle for equality then finally superiority. But this highlights the importance of build order and early timing. I never got good at SC2 but it's fun. I see that it's harder than chess because you also need build order strategy but you need APM and also macro game but... uThermal parts the curtain and let's us peek into a more complex game - the chess version of SC2 and also the boxing version of SC2. In a group running from a bear attack, they say you don't have to be the fastest runner, you just have to be not-the-slowest one. When it's a contest human vs human then you only have to be better than the other player. But... uThermal breaks all barriers because by exploring cheese and crazy playing, he goes beyond just "being better" than the other guy.
"Blind counter to GM" -> tell your game strategy at the beginning of the game and just go for it :) Another challenge ideas are: - The Grenade Launcher: Use your reaper grenades to `propel` units behind the enemy walls or on the highground (not sure if that one is actually doable) and harass with those units (non-reapers). - The Infested Terran challenge: Play zerg, neural one SCV and beat them only with Terran units :D Defending with zerg units is entirely ok. - The Mouse GM: Play only with your mouse without touching the keyboard. - The Single One - Don't use groups the entire game. - The Panicked One: Initial reactions to attacks always involves one F2 - you can move your army only with F2 when you react to stuff, then stopping and rearranging units is fine, but initially just F2 everything like the bronze league heroes do :) - The A-Mover: You are only allowed to look at your base and manage attacks only on the minimap. Send those units on A move and "hope" for the best. - The Entire Army One: You can only attack if you have one of each 'race' unit in your composition. - The Creeper: Play with Zerg and only fight on creep. No fights off creep are to be taken. - The Fake Dropper: Play with Terran and use your Medivacts to fake drops all the time. Don't do a single drop, just make them believe you are going to drop. - The Addict: Play with Terran with only Marines + Medivacs, but make sure that before each fight the marines are on red, due to overstimming.
I have a challenge proposal, each time you create a unit, you must fully saturate the 8 slot queue, if you dont have enough money you need to cancel all and get a different unit, or wait untill you have enough money to saturate the queue
Cyclone creator: I have a new mobile rocket platform. General: That's outstanding! What kind of armor will this thing have? Cyclone creator: I'm thinking toilet paper.
Challenge: Off-Center You are not allowed to build/land command centers such that they intersect at all with the "ideal" grid placement. For extra challenge, also lift your initial cc and move it away from the ideal placement. This is a little different than bongcloud since it is a smaller initial disadvantage but persists longer throughout the game. I think this would be very funny for opponents to scout as well!
Imagine scouting the natural and thinking "this idiot" and then seeing the cc offset in the main base too and it changes to "im in a youtube video and im scared".
Love the content. How about these 2 ideas: 1. No hot keys challenge. 2. Reverse hand challenge (where you mouse with your keyboard hand and you use the keyboard with your normal mouse hand)
Next challenge idea. Honestly tell your opponent what your plan is at least once a minute. E.g. 2:1:1. About to drop main. About to launch my timing attack, reaper is coming. I'd like to see how long it takes them to start believing you.
The reason(s) this works: 1) Harassment-heavy playstyle challenges the economy and forces the enemy to have to split his army, in essence, giving up some of his advantage. 2) UThermal still micros like a pro-gamer, so even when he's behind, he finds value in units that otherwise would simply get killed.
Micro god challenge. You aren't allowed to group more than 10 attacking units together, forcing an extensive use of multi-prong, surround, and off-meta unit composition ambush tactics.
I’d like to see a queen only challenge. You can still make spines and spores, but otherwise just queens, nydus, dropper lords, and whatever chaos that creates. Lots of creep spread and transfuses
I'm not sure if it's been done but I would love to see a proxy nexus hallucination recall challenge. It seems like such a silly strategy but I sure would enjoy seeing someone win with it
Blind turtle - liberators tanks thors and planetary only (no scans) Floor is lava (play Zerg on creep) - movement out of creep is only allowed for overlords drones and lings (locust/broodlings/.../interceptors). All the rest - flying running or rolling must stay on creep
I like how Marc is saying that he killed opponent's 4th base, but opponent has another one. I see, now all my opponents would have maximum 3 bases. Just sometimes there would be multiple 3rd bases ))
Imagine being that high level, watching a replay of a loss to see what happened, and finding out your opponent did nothing for a minute. That's soulcrushing.
challenge: make your opponent very uncomfortable. perhaps even get them to comment on it, without talking about it yourself. 1) siege-mates: immediately abandon your main and steal one of your opponent's expansion locations (natural, third, fourth), making it your new main. then kill your opponent as quickly as you can. or, 2) let's hold hands: continuously and aggressively expand in the direction of your opponent to make it look like you want to move in with them. do not slow down.
How about a KABOOM! challenge? You play as random and must mass the exploding units per race? So for Terran that's Tanks and Mines, Purifiers for Protoss and Banes for Zerg. You can use all the other units, but thr backbone of your strategy must be using units that go boom.
oh I have a crazy challenge - how about you announce what you unit you are building in chat. You announce the first time you're building a unit type but you don't have to say anything else. This means you're giving away the timing and what unit, and when. They can believe you or not. I won't guess how you'd win this challenge. For example you type "I'm building a battle cruiser" - hahaha the shock they'll have... really?, so soon?... and then their response. I think the hard part is remembering to announce your build as you're on autopilot and will forget... so maybe you can just say "building tanks in progress" I guess it can be a mediocre challenge - could it be fun? Okay, I'll make a modier... how about you send each first unit of its type to your opponent's base. Solo of the unit type. No returning. This way your opponent can see the unit for themselves without being told. The challenge is you can't build a unit type without letting the opponent know and also you're throwing the first one away to die, assuming it dies. The rule - send 1 unit of each type to show the opponent what you built, no secrets.
CHALLENGE IDEA: DUO queue 2's with a real life person that has never played sc2 before!!!! Marc up your own builds also (obviously). DUO w/ REAL LIFE person benefit 1). hilarious benefit 2). show the world sc2 isn't that hard to learn! benefit 3). get to know Marc better! IS MARC's MOM HIDDEN OP?
I would like to see f -move challenge. Like a one or two matches where as little as possible micro and solid macro. Not series as it would be boring but as a statement that good macro wins even high level, if that can win.
Pro players: Oh no! Starport is 5 seconds late, is there any hope anymore?
uThermal: Let's give 'em a 60 second head start
_RIGHT?_ ... they're a whole 'Nother Level
(I play at the Handi-crapped, level)
Marc is my fav youtuber right now, always so positive, love it!
Same!
"Smurfing" or no.... *ME Too*
I really enjoy his style / presentations
Challenge suggestions:
1. Proxy Creep Tumor to GM. Since you never spread creep when you play Zerg, you could use some practice! Goal of the challenge is to Dropperlord Queens to the opponent's side of the map and try to cover it with creep, block their expansions and spot their unit movements.

Some funky one love it
Number 2 and 4 are especially delicious 🧀 lololol
The proxy creep tunnel is such a good idea
JonSnow will view the replay and say, "I know nothing..."
Nope. I'd need about 4 minutes of a head start to accomplish this.
I'd need a 15 minute head start to beat GM 😂
2 minutes head start would be enough to complete a worker rush.
Hahaha 😂
You should do a '2v2 to Rank 1 (or whatever the top rank possible is in team matches', but restrict one of the players to healing units only. I remember a while ago you mentioned scvs can actually repair friendly protoss units. Basically force one of the 2 teammates to be a healer lmao
medivacs healing protoss or zerg
I used to have attack waves of hydras with medics healing in starcraft 64 split-screen co-op with my gf
Ooh yeah
so.. a queen could heal a friendly tank if it's on creep, or... ??
i'd assume you can only heal bio units like ghost or zealots@@ajmaddox1540
Theyre gonna think a crazy cheese is on the way but theyll never find the proxy. 🤣🤣🤣
At this pace I expect "Can you beat grandmasters without making any units" sometime soon
Isn't that just "SCV pull to GM?" :D
Am I the only one that loves when you use reaper as a support unit? Your reaper grenades are always so spot on.
25:53 Rip to the longest living Reaper I've ever seen in SC2.
This guyyy !!!! He can talk ezzz and thinking about how the opponent did or not !!! And manage all units like EZ, siege, Unsiege etc
VERY WP Sir :))) Inspiring us man :) ❤🎉😂😊
At 77yrs I enjoy watching you it gives me some ideas even though my arthritis in my hands prevents me from having anything over 52apm
Life lessons from Marc "annoying people is a tool..." 😂😂😂
Suggestion: Attack with at least one of every unit. You can defend, scout, and harass as normal, but any major attack has to have one of everything.
Absolutely ludicrous! And you got it back to back as well! Great challenge, uThermal!
The insane flexing continues, looking forward to this one!
JonSnow is apparently a Pro on a current team roster, last matches a year ago at DH Atlanta. Nice!
This boggles my mind. Just when I thought I understood how much better you pros/former pros are than plebs like me. I would have bet money that I could beat any player in the world if I had a full minute head start. But I don’t think that anymore… jeez, well done
9:00 leaving those poor marines to die D: They trusted you and you sent them for slaughter...
This man is a mad genius and I'm here for every minute
Except the first one! 😂
YES! AFK challenge! in the next time at the begging try move one scv far way and start a hide base pretending be AFK, and don't let your main base have more than the 12 scv...
He has done that before, it wasn't very fun to watch.
He has done that with Protoss and it was a funny one, I think it's the first video in Proxy Nexus to GM series.
This one was great! Nice adaptability in skipping the unnecessary transitions to keep the timing sorta on point! Always a fun to watch you surprise yourself with the dub
Hell yeah this takes me back to the early challenge days of the monumentally stupid (affectionately) bongcloud and the amazing games it made for!! 👏🎉
this challenge was amazing thermy. That was a blast to watch :)
I really enjoy your content, and your always positive attitude and demeanor. Never a negative or toxic thing to say, even in defeat you are positive. We need more people like you.
I am a silver (maybe low gold) sc2 player, pretty casual but your videos are very entertaining and give me fun strategies to try ( and butcher the heck out of lol)
Keep up the good work!
Another banger from yours truly. Keep up the creative and entertaining content. I will give it to each of those guys they gave it their all!!
New challenge idea: you can only attack when you get 200 supply.
Before that you can only defense and expand your bases. When you reach 200 supply you need to do an all-in and can't build more units. If the all-in fails, you lose.
Only max-out push challenge

Yesss!!! I love whenever you say " I don't want to just people with the meta, I wanna win doing stupid stuff" ....this sir is perfect
"Blind counter to GM" -> tell your game strategy at the beginning of the game and just go for it :)
Another challenge ideas are:
- The Grenade Launcher: Use your reaper grenades to `propel` units behind the enemy walls or on the highground (not sure if that one is actually doable) and harass with those units (non-reapers).
- The Infested Terran challenge: Play zerg, neural one SCV and beat them only with Terran units :D Defending with zerg units is entirely ok.
- The Mouse GM: Play only with your mouse without touching the keyboard.
- The Single One - Don't use groups the entire game.
- The Panicked One: Initial reactions to attacks always involves one F2 - you can move your army only with F2 when you react to stuff, then stopping and rearranging units is fine, but initially just F2 everything like the bronze league heroes do :)

- The Addict: Play with Terran with only Marines + Medivacs, but make sure that before each fight the marines are on red, due to overstimming.
A meme challenge for uThermal would be to type GLHF before his opponent does at the start of a match. Just once. :)
I have a challenge proposal, each time you create a unit, you must fully saturate the 8 slot queue, if you dont have enough money you need to cancel all and get a different unit, or wait untill you have enough money to saturate the queue
Plot twist: the enemies were doing a 2min afk challenge 😂
This video really popped off uThermal. Now im using this word like crazy thanks to you.
Cyclone creator: I have a new mobile rocket platform.
General: That's outstanding! What kind of armor will this thing have?
Cyclone creator: I'm thinking toilet paper.
Bong Cloud was the best series! I loved the mind games it played.
Challenge: Off-Center
You are not allowed to build/land command centers such that they intersect at all with the "ideal" grid placement. For extra challenge, also lift your initial cc and move it away from the ideal placement. This is a little different than bongcloud since it is a smaller initial disadvantage but persists longer throughout the game. I think this would be very funny for opponents to scout as well!

Love the content. How about these 2 ideas: 1. No hot keys challenge. 2. Reverse hand challenge (where you mouse with your keyboard hand and you use the keyboard with your normal mouse hand)
OMG 😂😂😂
Next challenge idea. Honestly tell your opponent what your plan is at least once a minute.
E.g. 2:1:1. About to drop main. About to launch my timing attack, reaper is coming.
I'd like to see how long it takes them to start believing you.
The reason(s) this works:
1) Harassment-heavy playstyle challenges the economy and forces the enemy to have to split his army, in essence, giving up some of his advantage.
2) UThermal still micros like a pro-gamer, so even when he's behind, he finds value in units that otherwise would simply get killed.
Everyone else is playing classical music, Uthermal is improvising jazz
SO HAPPY to see a new terran challenge. I watch your ZvX and PvX but I prefer your Terran.
This is super entertaining! You should do this more! Even if you lose at a higher rate its more exciting.
Micro god challenge. You aren't allowed to group more than 10 attacking units together, forcing an extensive use of multi-prong, surround, and off-meta unit composition ambush tactics.
Dragon used to do this back in the day. Would say “Success” after he’d win
It seems like such a silly strategy but I sure would enjoy seeing someone win with it
uThermal is insane. How is it possible to be so good at this game :0
Blind turtle - liberators tanks thors and planetary only (no scans)
Floor is lava (play Zerg on creep) - movement out of creep is only allowed for overlords drones and lings (locust/broodlings/.../interceptors). All the rest - flying running or rolling must stay on creep
I like how Marc is saying that he killed opponent's 4th base, but opponent has another one. I see, now all my opponents would have maximum 3 bases. Just sometimes there would be multiple 3rd bases ))
Maybe your opponent was also a minute late lol, I can’t believe you won that.
Almost as though, he knew nothing...
Next challenge, can you beat uthermal with a 2 min advantage ? 😂
😂
So the equivalent of Bong Cloud… 😅
When your character is max level and just playing the game is to easy....
"why is this so slow, am I crazy or is my brain working too fast"
I would love to see Mark play with the carbot mod.
SUPPLY BLOCKER TO GM!!!
That would be the greatest meme of all time!
Uthermal, keep with the amazing content!, I think the more you include your fans.. The more you will grow. Take on like 6 bronze haha
Imagine being that high level, watching a replay of a loss to see what happened, and finding out your opponent did nothing for a minute.
That's soulcrushing.
Marcje,dit is nogal a challenge 😅
Keep up the good work👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Okay, UA-cam, three times showing up is enough, I’ll watch the fun sounding video I was saving for later
Imagine watching the replay and seeing how you lost just to find out your opponent went afk for a minute LOL
I love the two battle cruiser rush/mass BC and never attack Terran.
This was certainly hard, but in the olden days with workers not starting mining automatically it would probably have been impossible. Very nice still!
I love this! If nothing is too crazy, will we get to see a Proxy Nexus Mothership Rush?
Mouse only challenge? Cheers man, awesome content
Next time we fight, let me be a little more sober first😉.
-SirSwigzAlot
Would love to see you do Harstem’s version of this challenge wherein you pretend to be afk and proxy everything
Name for his pretend afk games ? Were fun yup
challenge: make your opponent very uncomfortable. perhaps even get them to comment on it, without talking about it yourself.
1) siege-mates: immediately abandon your main and steal one of your opponent's expansion locations (natural, third, fourth), making it your new main. then kill your opponent as quickly as you can.
or,
2) let's hold hands: continuously and aggressively expand in the direction of your opponent to make it look like you want to move in with them. do not slow down.

Nothing better than some thermy on a snow day
uTermal cheeses himself to make the game fair.
make a wievers challenge where you are not allowed to attack, but defend only, where the fastest one to destroy all your buildings win
I saw only the title. The answer is no. You CANNOT. Now let me see the video :)
ikr ..... but *_IF_* AnyBody could do it......
I like this challenge because the game last longer. Try taking all bases or mining out the map.
You surprise me with each new challenge!
Only build one building per minute challenge or something similar would be cool xD
Lol here I thought this would be a viewer challenge. Nope straight to the ladder xD
Strat: Double expand before Barracks / Double expand before pool / Double Nexus before Gateway
This is interesting
Mass expand Defense only challenge, or Sim City builder challenge.
Thanks for the late fun. ^^
oh I have a crazy challenge - how about you announce what you unit you are building in chat. You announce the first time you're building a unit type but you don't have to say anything else. For example you type "I'm building a battle cruiser" - hahaha the shock they'll have... really?, so soon?... and then their response.
I think the hard part is remembering to announce your build as you're on autopilot and will forget... so maybe you can just say "building tanks in progress"
I guess it can be a mediocre challenge - could it be fun?
Okay, I'll make a modier... how about you send each first unit of its type to your opponent's base. Solo of the unit type. No returning. you absouloute mad lad. love it.
Hé hé, i proposed you the "wait à minute" challenge few times ago
I would like to see f -move challenge. Like a one or two matches where as little as possible micro and solid macro. Not series as it would be boring but as a statement that good macro wins even high level, if that can win.
Great vid x
... I wonder if your opponents looked at the replay to see that you had those massive delays.
i hope for the opponents sake they dont check the replay/build order or theyre gonna be looking for the uninstall button
youre crazy. you actually are crazy. i cant believe it lolol
the new haircut makes you look younger, sir
Im here!!! 1hour later prob my earliest cast to catch ! marc can move mountains with cheese
Idea: PRETEND to be afk. Make a cc somewhere else on the map with your real base there
You should make it even more difficult. Stop the workers from mining until 1 min
Challenge suggestion: force draws against grandmasters
wow, crazy. I remember when Jon Snow was like pro level.
max Upgrade rush. could do vids on all different types of units getting theirs stats maxed as a soon as posible.
I want to see Uthermal play Zerg Wars in SC arcade
Okay, this gonna be interesting
👀🔥
uThermal, why don't you (or other top terrans) make ravens to clear creep? You spend some 20-30 scans, which could be mules.
