There is no real U.S. critical mineral policy.
Can U.S. adapt to CM trade restriction, embargo? Probably not! Need serious mining, processing, and metallurgy- plus trained workforce.
Stockpiles are very low, insufficient supplies.
Stable supply chains -Whose? Where?
Imports from allies? No...they have similar needs...
Can they count on US to mine for export? No.
Yet "friendshoring" is a hopeful new buzzword.
No real national policy for exploration or mining.
No U.S. Bureau of Mines.
EO 13817 a welcome start. - Наука та технологія
Ned's book Groundbreaking! America's Quest for Mineral Independence... is here: www.amazon.com/dp/1729669522 ...the Kindle version is pretty darn affordable. Have bought a copy myself, and I'm curious about Dragon Bridge and how it might apply to Canada.
I think the Chinese are doing the same thing in the USA with the SW Tribes, especially Uranium mining.
God I love Gordons channel. Thank you for posting this stuff dude! Been following since 2017 quietly.
I'm happy to support Gordon on Patreon (albeit modestly) because he is such a proven, trustworthy source.. Presentations like this are like priceless. Dr Mamula could speak for two hours more and be captivating!

i just got a degree in the United States in geological engineering and I'm really struggling to find a job at a mine in the United States.
Have looked in Canada?
@@Rawdiswar one of my big hobbies isn't legal there, and Canada has become pretty bizarre in the last few years. Not really a place im eager to live.
Thank you Gordon for publishing this presentation. The info in the presentation is troublesome. Also Europe ( I'm writing from Poland) is in the same boat as USA regarding Chinese rare earth elements dependence.
The US and Canada have the best governments Chinese currency can buy .
sad but true.
It's a time share, AIPAC has its part of it, Bibi said it so.
😏
Good onr
But who put us up for sale? The crown put us up for sale
Yep, education.
The body moves in the direction of the resultant force. If we know the resultant force and one force, we can calculate the other force from it. I have been fascinated by Thorium ideas for a very long time. The power of science is known, missed decades as a resultant in practice is very obvious, the force that hides behind technology is as strong as the strong nuclear force. I do not believe that anything will move these decision-makers, even though they are full of talk about the green planet.
Very good explanation. But what I see as retired pipefitter having worked at mine ,that went bankrupt then couple solar plants ,they were a joke. One still operating, it uses gas or oil at least %50 of time, the other was different design never worked right now closed, it's brand new super heaters came from China and all leaked from day one.(made alot of $$$ fixing Chinese junk)Well that's my background. USA has to much regulation to ever compete with China...environmental, safety & now the green lie....lets talk about it, let's study it, talk some ,then make more rules®ulation...my point is BS!
I had to do a double-take at 0:40, because I thought that was Jordan B. Peterson! His voice sounds similar, as does the suit he's wearing.
This was an amazing presentation thank you very much. #King #Monday,May62567÷2024Equals

So much reform required in this sector for the US to get some dominance. Lets hope this sort of reform is high up in the Trump agenda, I don't see much in this area from a second Biden admin.
Nice talk but the guy must be a Trump fan boy as he showed a graph about mine’s opening upto 2014 and said look it went up with trump he was not even president till 2017
What utter rubbish.
