    I noticed you said yours didn’t have sport mode I though the same till I clicked on controls and there was a sport mode on the screen so you probably have to look on your screen somewhere cause that’s all I was looking for when I was test driving it 😂

    • @gofastnocrash3651
      @gofastnocrash3651  Рік тому +1

      Nah, I don’t have sport mode. The one you test drove has the rt package, it comes with sport mode and paddle shifters. There’s this chip I could put on my charger, called a tazer. It would give me sport mode and Srt pages.

    I got a 2012 rt awd with 96k in 2021 for 14 out the door. Mine has all the options plus heated rear seats, heated chilled cup holders, and tan leather. Had to replace the water pump in the first year. Love the looks of the 2nd gen. Daily driver and in pa, the winter was simple for the awd. However it eats tires. 10k on new tires and they were toast. That is even with no burnouts. Can’t easily shut the awd off with out aftermarket support. Slick looking ride! Enjoy that beast

    • @gofastnocrash3651

      Yeah, the water pumps are weak. I bought mine with 85k miles , and had to replace the water pump in the first year. I love the 2nd gen chargers though.

    very good review, totally agree, its a good sorta compromise between an everyday cruiser and still having enough power to have fun and maneuver. and the transmission yep, its kinda very old school (like me lol) clunky but it works.

    • @gofastnocrash3651
      @gofastnocrash3651  2 роки тому

      The transmission is the main flaw in the old chargers. I’ve ridden in a newer rt with the 8 speed, night and day difference. I’m hoping when I start modifying my charger a transmission tune helps.

      Had a 11 challenger with the 5 speed. Beat it to death and when it was totaled it had 76k and still worked flawlessly. They are pretty stout transmissions. Auto stick is better in the 5 speeds over the 8 speeds imo

      The short answer is yes. Just inspect the water pump. High mileage hemi’s tend to have the water pump fail. Other than that you may have some electrical problems, but overall they’re good cars that run for a long time.
