The trading community died because of the holding periods. Not because of the UGC copies.

I remember years ago when I would look forward to the release of a new hat or limited long before the arrival of UGC accessories. Sure, there's more customization available nowadays; however, that feeling of uniqueness has since been eroded. Today, the catalog feels dead, and you don't get that feeling of rarity anymore. Newer users will not understand what I am talking about.
@@jet4792I was Blessed enough to thankfully be able to experience this adrenaline just in the nick of time for a short period of about six months to a year or so before having my main account terminated for saying some ‘not so nice’ things; This doesn’t weigh so bad on me though because UGC was added soon afterwards and destroyed the market anyways. I remember I had always dreamt of having an account with accessories costing a decent to great fortune and I’d fortunately had some hefty expense items collected from purchasing Limited/Limited U’s overtime and their prices skyrocketing. I was able to trade and obtain a fairly expensive face called ‘Pie Face Jelly Freckles’ which at the time would’ve ran you about $7000 USD. The price of this item has since plummeted and doesn’t run for nearly as much anymore and I feel like the main thing to blame is the UGC crashing and practically eliminating a successful and fluctuating market for ‘Classic Cosmetics’ ; My account was of course banned/terminated anyways so this didn’t exactly matter too much to me. But yeah man, I’m not that old or too ‘OG’ of a player myself but I’m gratefully happy I was still able to share and connect with you on how I felt this same feeling and rush when anticipating and/or achieving greatness in the market. It really did feel amazing to rock a classic cosmetic that held a great price and rarity back in the day, there’s just something about that which cannot be beaten. UGC has only hurt this game and its market especially since they’ve started to allow Limited and Limited ‘U’ Cosmetics to be produced from UGC and cheap carbon copies of legitimate rare and expensive cosmetics. The amount of copyrighted items could also be bad for ROBLOX's economy, if companies decide to take legal action
yeah, you're right. I saw Nintendo items such as Super Mario 64 heads and accessories in the marketplace, And judging how Nintendo does not let you get away with using their property is big trouble for Roblox.
I myself actually own a few fake limited but I don't own them because I want to pass them off as real ones. I own them because I wanted to make a classic looking avatar but the sparkle time fedora is so expensive. But yes, I totally agree that the UGC is spiraling out of control slowly.

I love how I got feature in this video at 7:15 when people waited this long to address the issue of UGC Limiteds downfall, and even copied limited that are hurting the whole platform. Its crazy. I private my twitter account 3 days ago, and it took this long for people to realize what I been trying to fight for better content to help fix roblox. 🤣

UGC is basically Quanity over Quality.
UGC was already doomed at the start, Roblox already has horrible moderation which gets worse every year. Paired with the Public UGC update, this was for disaster.

I didn't care at first since having a way to use an item without paying alot for it was good, but it continued to get worse and worse and now there's so many fake limiteds that every game i join its always one or two of these people wearing fake limiteds
It's good for items to have value; it's what makes Roblox unique, right? If everyone could get everything they wanted, wouldn't that be boring?

Man removing Tix was the start cant change my mind i rember saving my tix to buy stuff
Tix was good during the time period that it existed but it wouldn't work in modern day Roblox due to botting and farming
@@katie1902 The main problem why they removed tix was the tix to robux conversion as you get tix for each person who joined your game so popular games gained a massive amount of tix they jsut converted to robux.
but because of that people jsut abused the heck out of that system

Not just that,because the catalog filled with low effort Ugc items,I can’t even find any item I want.its a big problem on Roblox,not just on avatar catalog but on many aspects too like shirts,pants,Roblox games,this lead to the items or games that are actually good getting flooded by something just made in 3 mins

Not to be a stickler about the "old days" but I really feel like old roblox could somehow be reworked to be the best of both worlds, the care and simpisticness of the old tighter community and the power house of money that roblox gets being used to hire staff that actually give a damn and hire others to create items.

with all due honesty... i never found limited stuff appealing, they are usually ugly AF and are being bought solely because its limited lmao... that makes totally no sense to me.. id rather buy something really nice looking that is available for all for an understandable price than some ugly limited crap only wanted for being limited lmao.
I still support UGC especially because roblox itself had a very low number of stuff that were also mostly ugly AF to be bought... with UGC much better skilled creators finally had a chance to not only have a new way to get money, to contribute to community or to show their artistic skills, but also its also thanks to them that roblox finally looked more rich and appealing with all that custom content.
I did notice that some creations are basically a copy of those limited stuff, but honestly? I dont care. Those limited stuff are just laughable and comical. The only limited thing i always wished to own was the super super happy face. But with the UGC content i no longer give a fuck because custom content creators upload WAY more beautiful faces to use. I did see the copy of super happy face there as well, but i no longer had a need to buy it no matter if for terribly hight price of limited version, or the complete copy for a few bux.
I also remember when that disguising accessories thing became a big hit, especially thanks to Flamingo and i understand why it had to be banned from games where it would count as cheating and stuff, but lets face it, the content made with it was funny as hell at the same time.
There was and always will be a way to bend rules no matter if its in roblox or any other games. Nothing is perfect, rules are being broken all the time and wont be 100% fixed ever, outcomes may be damaging sometimes but hey... if it means roblox and its games will lose a few robux because of it, fuck them then. They are rich enough to ignore stuff like that, just like they ignore most of their members and users when in a need of help.
