    I due ragazzi in pensione sono fantastici. Ho capito bene come si sentono, perche vivere in un paese dove si può andare in treno a Roma, Venezia, Bologna, Verona, Firenze, Parma e cosi via, non c'è crise. Insomma, non hanno bisogno di un hobby, la loro vita è un hobby. Congratulazioni !

    Un piccolo appunto alla brava Katie: "chiedere una domanda" non suona benissimo in italiano. È costruito sul "ask a question" dell'inglese ma in italiano la forma corretta è "fare una domanda" o, più formale, "porre una domanda".

    I love the Easy language series and follow a few of them. The only critic I have with Easy Italian is like Xuyang below me, hate to be greedy, but we need many more videos. That said you're doing a great job with the ones you've done so far. Grazie

    1:03 hey hey! I thought "io" means i why the hell did he say mi? Doesn't mi mean my? I'm confused... please an explanation... we say io sono right? Then why do we say my piace?

    • @lorenzocavezza3799
      @lorenzocavezza3799 5 років тому

      "My" would be "mio" in italian. In this case "mi" means "by me" and therefore is not the subject of the sentence. In english you have I(subject) + like(verb)+ something; however in italian we have "Mi" or "A me" (they both mean "by me") + piace(verb) + qualcosa(subject). So for piacere(to like) the verb's subject is the thing you like and "Mi" just says that the subject is liked by you. This is also the reason why we say "A loro piace qualcosa" when we mean "they like something". You would expect us to use "piacciono", as it's the form of piacere used for "they", but we use piace instead, as it's referred to "qualcosa". So usually "piacere" doesn't mean "like", but "to be liked": "Mi piace il gelato" means "By me is liked the ice cream" so "The ice cream is liked by me".

      It's because piace means "gives pleasure"
      So mi piace means it gives pleasure to me.

    • @guncelkonular8810
      @guncelkonular8810 4 роки тому +2

      Here "mi" is an indirect pronoun. In Italian there are direct pronouns and indirect pronouns. Actually the direct pronoun for first singular person is the same as that of the indirect pronoun. Since the verb "piacere" requires the use of an indirect pronoun he says: " mi piace" and if we were talking about him, we would say: "gli piace". The indirect pronouns in Italian are as follows: mi, ti, gli/le, ci, vi, gli.

    It's confusing to the English learner if you write an English translation that fails to reflect Italian sentence structure. For example, the translation at 2:08 should literally read: "I look to give the right space to the right things."

    I hope one day people will stop calling "hobbies" the things they really like to do: it makes those things seem "non-serious" compared to the "serious" activity of working... they should be passions (as the title suggests), not hobbies. But, until there, "così è la vita!"
