Looks fantastic man! Those remote desert roads, incredibly beautiful. I wonder what they look like at night, can imagine the stars!! Thanks as usual for a great video. Looking forward to the campsite review too
Starkly beautiful! Amazing contrast between the desert plains and mountains. It was quite an experience. Great camping experience too. Glad you enjoyed the episode, thanks for the feedback ☺
It's a long drive so in this case it was part of a road trip. Our preferred stopovers are Kalahari Water in Keimoes (quick one night stop), or Witsand Kalahari Nature Reserve for a longer break. The Growcery near Vioolsdrift is also a very nice stopover if you want to visit the cairns and go that way. I would recommend that.
When you have time, I recommend a trip from Alexander Bay to Lamberts Bay down the sand tracks ( through Namakwa Nat Park & the diamond concessions. ) camping on the beach. Would make a good video of a seldom visited area of SA.
I really like your informative videos, just some constructive criticism, that massive blinding red logo screen you use between scenes, man that is hard on the eyes!

Starkly beautiful indeed!
Absolutely worth the trip, such a beautiful place!
Hope to return again one day. Would definitely revisit, stay longer
Would be good to do both sides of Ai-Ais Richtersveld Transfrontier Park when Covid border restrictions are down. Beautiful place!
cool rock lines at the parking lots
This is a really cool park, very different from what you would usually encounter in South Africa.
When driving from Joburg do you stop along the way? And if so where do you normally break?

@@TravelGigolo Will definitely need to explore that part of the world more, hopefully soon!
Definitely recommended 👍🏾👍🏾
Spent 5 nights there last month. Did you visit Tierkloof and the caves as well ??
We didn't get to do Tierkloof, ran out of time. I definitely want to spend a night in those caves.
Where did you stay in the RTP?
I stayed at De Hoop on the river. In via Akkedise pass and then out over Hells kloof.

Beautiful area. Very peaceful. We've done some of it, but not all in one go. #BucketList 👍🏾
Drove past De Hoop, on the way to Richtersberg, but couldn't stop as it was getting late. Looks like a nice site.

Oh! Never thought of that. Are you watching on a big screen TV?
@@TravelGigolo Yes I watch these on the TV, usually at night as well! No worries, keep up the good work 👍
Last time we were there we did not see a single soul for 7 days.
Perfect 👌🏾😄
